Norm is the best!! It was a blessing to meet such a kind and honest person to help with my car - Norm s prices are extremely reasonable, he was very informative and transparent, and he helped get my car going faster than I could have imagined (it s also great that he s so close!) I ll be coming back for sure and recommend anyone looking for an auto mechanic to go to Norm! Thank you!

GREAT experience!! Someone referred me here and I'm so glad they did. I got my car appt scheduled within a few days of me calling. They were very quick at looking at the problems I came in about, and were very straightforward about what needed to be done and the cost. The fuse in my headlight went out, which also burned out the lightbulb. They replaced the bulb at no extra charge! Affordable IMO, especially for LA

Not sure how pedestrians are supposed to get past this safely except to walk into oncoming traffic in the street on Fairfax. Persons with physical limitations would have been out of luck

Like many people, I am fearful of mechanics due to my lack of knowledge. These guys were fantastic. Fixed up my wee car and while I waited they gave me a bottle of cold water (it was very hot outside). They updated me on the progress and they couldn't have been nicer. This is a small, neighborhood mechanic shop conveniently located on Fairfax just one block north of most importantly Santa Monica Boulevard. They offer competitive rates and most importantly, are honest.

I am a customer for the duration!!! I had taken my car to the Dealership for some maintenance.When I got it back, there was another problem I had not experienced previously. I live up the street from Norm s and 1 day I saw a woman in his lot and her children were in the car. This made me think Trustworthy. And I was right! I went in to explain my situation. Norm knew exactly what the mishap was and had me on the road in 30 minutes...for a more than fair price!!!This is the longest review I have shared and I stand behind every word Thank You Norm s Body Shop! May You continue to prosper!!!

Chris and his team always take amazing care of me. I've been taking my car to him for 4 years. Whenever my dealership tells me I need to fix something, I'm always check with Chris to make sure it's something that really needs to be fixed, and they are always able to do the job for hundreds less than what the dealership quotes me. The work is solid and reliable, and competed quickly. He always communicates with me and makes sure I understand everything going on with my car. I wouldn't take my car to anyone else! Thanks Chris and Norm!

I had a flat tire and was struggling to find somewhere that would repair my run flats rather than replacing the whole tire. I came here and they located the nail & took care of it right away. Very attentive, honest, and reasonably priced.

Norm and the rest of his staff are super friendly, helpful and I had my car back in 2 days and there was a lot of work to be done on my 2008 audi! They never gave me the feeling they were trying to bleed me of unnecessary money or that they charged me too much, which I really appreciated. Norms will now be my go to mechanic! Thank you guys for all the fast and friendly service!

Honest and does great work. You can tell he cares about what he does. Norm isn t looking to overcharge or fix what doesn t need fixing. It s easy to feel uncertain when choosing a mechanic but I always feel good when I walk away from Norm s. He s a good man.

Changed sensor. Was charged $600+.$300 labor and $300+ for sensor.Later googled the sensor price is $60-100Bring your own parts or check the price online before you pay.Work quickly tho

Norman is a rare mechanic you want to know if you don't already. He is a self-made entrepreneur who knows more about cars than any mechanic I've been to or known. Professionalism at its finest, ethical and the best service I've had for my card - sincerely couldn't recommend Norm's more. You should consider driving down from San Diego for all I know. Congrats on the business wishing you a great start of the decade!

Norm saved my car and my week! I was freaking out because my car wouldn't start and I had no phone. I walked to Norm's and he was so kind to drive me to my car got my car running. My car stopped again when I was at the store and he drove up and saved me again. He figured out that my battery was dead, ordered me one, then installed it the next day in under 20 minutes! Norm is kind, smart, and quick. Definitely go here, trust me.

If I could give Norm's 10 stars, I would. I've been going to Norm's Auto for 40 years. It is the most reliable, honest, affordable auto repair facility in Los Angeles, bar none. He's taken care of over 15 cars for me over the years, and always made sure I knew what my car needed there and then, and what could be deferred for a short period of time. Norm, Chris and ALL the mechanics at Norm's are the best there is!

Chris at Norm s Auto has been so helpful, kind, and patient with all my concerns and frustrations I ve have with my 2006 Range Rover. From replacing alternator to abs sensor to suspension. Chris has given me sound advice, great service and honestly by far the best prices in town. He is always willing to help and communicate honestly to where another mechanic was gona charge me 1250$ for alternator and said valve needed replacing as well. Chris ended up doing job for $700 and said nothing was wrong with valve. Will always refer Chris and his dad at Norm s auto on Fairfax Ave. Best Mechanics in LA. Period.

This Man is actually more famous and wonderful than the Diner/Restaurant of the same name! Legend. Friend. Famous as the Hollywood Sign. And even better? You can leave your car, get a straight answer, have the boss answer the phone, receive an estimate that portrays the price AND pick up your car the same day! Where else? Nowhere other than Norm's Auto. And God Bless if you arrive on BBQ day! Winning!

Very slow leak on car tire. Called ahead, couldn't have been nicer. I came right down. Tech did initial review and found the leak with his eye. Just the professional I needed. Finally getting the time to write this much deserved review. Norman is the rare mechanic you need to find. He is professional, ethical and an incredible self-made entrepreneur who knows more about cars then a harvard PHD in auto-mechanics. Regardless of who's in, I've always experienced the best service and truly couldn't recommend Norm's more - worth driving whatever distance you need to come here. Congrats on the business and cheers to the new decade!

Norm s is the way to go!After dismantling the front of my Jeep with my driveway, I stopped in at Norm s to get it fixed. They told me they d call me when it was done. To give them a day tops. I get a call an hour later saying it was done, no big deal. Luckily I live on Fairfax so it was just hop, skip, and jump away on a board. I skate down there and I m out in 5 mins and back home with a fixed Jeep in less than two hours. Wow! That s some great service! I pass Norm s everyday and it s packed with cars, it was packed with cars when I initially pulled up for the repair. For them to have me back on the road in less than two hours is a modern day miracle.Thank you Norm! You gained a life long customer today.

Can't say enough good stuff about this place.Top-notch work, A+ customer service, even open Saturdays for us working schmoes who can't take time off during the week to bring our vehicle in.Prices are fair and they never try to sell unneeded procedures. My truck is running even better than when I bought it brand new!It's crowded and arrival can be dodgy - parallel park in their drive and put on your blinkers! They'll make room and even pull your car in for you in a jiffy.Excellent service, reasonable prices. Honest. Almost like finding a good dentist in LA - priceless!Norm and Chris are THE guys!

If you ve been looking for an honest mechanic that has a staff of genuinely good people looking out for your best interest, you ve found it. I've been going to Norm for so many years, I should have written a review ages ago. I can't say enough great things about Norm's knowledge, professionalism, exceptional service and fair prices! I've done a lot of work on my own cars in the past, but Norm does way better work than I ever could and has taken a lot of grief off my hands!! I fully recommend him to anyone else!

This is the best automotive service in LA!! Without question. Great service ,honest, absolutely trustworthy. I m so lucky to have found them. For years I went to another automotive repair shop-once the owner died the business went with it. So disappointing.The son took over the business and really has no interest in it so the workers have no interest either. I ve spent a fortune there and always feel ripped off My husband found Norms and now I am a true believer .He is great

I have been going to Norms for over 30 years -- first at his location on Sunset, and now at his new digs on Fairfax.The neighborhood has undergone monumental changes in those 3+ decades.Now that this 'hood is almost terminally hip, there is a lot to celebrate in all the spit-and-polish. But along the way, a lot of character, and neighborliness, got crowded out.However.Norms, and Norm himself - - and now his son, who, with his father, is carrying the business into its next chapter -- Is a blessed exception.I walk into Norms, and I feel like I'm doing business in a small town.-- where everyone knows and trusts each other, business is done on a handshake, and everything is done with quiet pride and best efforts, always.My heart almost stopped when I saw the CLOSED sign at Norms old location. I am so grateful that he and his son are still right there.You will get complete professional competence, total honesty, and a fair deal.In case you haven't figured this out already - - I love this place lol!

Drove my car from the east coast and it started making some funny noises by the time I got here - Norm came highly recommended by a local friend of mine and I'm glad he did! Not only did he do the diagnostics in less than 10 minutes, he adjusted my loose Serpentine belt at no charge. I will definitely be back for any and all of my car needs. Thank you a million times!!!

Have used for about 10 years now. Moved out of the area but still drive back just because they are reliable, trustworthy, excellent pricing (despite being in the middle of Weho), and do great work.
