OVERPRICED!!! I took my car in and paid over $360 for an inspection. My car needed a new Catalyst system. They wanted to charge me close to $6K for the work. I took it to another shop and they charged me $2356 for the same proposed work. Their customer service isn t a 10 for the price either. They didn t really take the time to explain what it meant. You would think that for $360 they would take 10-15 minutes to really sit with you and explain their findings in detail. I regret taking my car in to this place. I hope this review helps the next ignorant sucker thinking about taking their car in to this shop. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Hands down one of the best customer service experiences I have had! Jeff was knowledgeable and patient. He was willing to go above and beyond to find what I was looking for and presented options when we couldn't find exactly what I wanted. He wasn't looking to just make a sale. He wanted to be sure that I would be happy long term. Ben was always willing to jump in when Jeff wasn't available. I'll be making the 30 minute trip North to have my truck serviced by them. Do yourself a favor and don't sleep on these guys! Give them a chance to win your business. You won't regret it.

Hidden in the middle of downtown Watsonville, California is one of the best auto repair shops on the west coast. I needed to repair my Mother-in Law s car. I actually called the wrong number and a guy named Jeff answered the call. He graciously asked me how he could help and in just a few short minutes, i had a bid, and a timeline for repairs. When I delivered the vehicle, things just got better and another team member, Ben, explained what would happen next. And just like they promised, their Team got the job done. This company gave me the best auto repair experience I ve ever had.

Update 4/11/22:I have continued to use Street Scene for my mechanical needs. I have bought a new Toyota Tacoma, and have been using them for maintenance and building it to what I want it to be. I just had them put a 3 lift on the truck for me. Ben worked with me to figure out which lift I wanted, made recommendations and came in with a fair quote. I even checked to see if pricing would be comparable if I had the work done in Salt Lake, since CA is over priced for everything, and they came in very competitive. I will continue to be a loyal customer to Street Scene.Original review sometime in 2021:Street Scene has earned my loyalty.I took my Jeep in because it had some noise in the valve train. Long story short, Street Scene located the issue, did the work, and within 30 miles of getting my Jeep back, something went wrong.I took the Jeep back explained what happened and Street Scene found that there was a seized lifter causing a bent valve. Damage was found to the cam. They could not find the cause of the issue, but considered this a warranty repair and didn t charge anything rebuild the top end and beyond.How a business handles itself when an expensive problem comes up tells me a lot about the business. Street Scene handled this situation very professionally and I left with my Jeep feeling taken care of.I will be bringing all of my vehicles to street scene going forward.Service: Engine repair

Ben & Jeff were both great at picking up the phone, listening and answering questions I prepared for assistance in installing a universal CURT receiver hitch and a BAL hide-a-spare to my Jayco travel trailer . They stayed in touch re-confirming the appt date. Their staff was polite and knowledgeable. The job was done on time for a fair price.I would definitely refer or work with them again .

They did a great job installing a 4 inch lift kit and 35 inch tires on my 2015 jeep JKU! Great pre-lift inspection and great communication and get the Job done quick. Overall great experience, Highly recommend Street Scene!

Everything is always as promised and on time. Communication is effective and if there are any changes that aren't communicated at the drop off then I will receive a phone call with a follow up text. These guys are the best and I will continue to take my truck in for any service I need.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff--turned out they couldn't do what I was asking for, but they took the time to do research and take a look at my car and were honest when they decided they wouldn't be able to give me top quality results as it was simply something they don't normally do, especially on my model of car. I spoke to Jeff on the phone and he was very professional and offered to provide a complete inspection of my boat trailer. After providing a detailed report of needed work, we decided to move forward on repairs. They completed the work promptly and kept me posted on progress. When I called to check in it didn t matter if Jeff was unavailable because Ben knew exactly what was going on, great communication, great service, fair price, and quick. I d recommend this shop to anyone. Thanks guys for the great service!

I needed my horse trailer serviced, & Ben was very welcoming from the minute he picked up the phone. I got an appointment right away, and the crew at Street Scene did a fantastic job assessing what needed to be done. Ben was honest & told me that the trailer only needed some rewiring, a few lights replaced, and new tires. The old tires were 10 years old. Ben checked the battery, which was fine and said the wheels didn't need bearings or repacking. Street Scene is the best....honest, competent, & reliable. Street Scene is great -- everybody there. They've helped us hugely with our big 4WD EarthRoamer that we like to keep in tip top shape. As a woman I handle most of the interactions so I appreciate their professionalism, thoroughness and their willingness to accommodate our needs. We live in Boulder Creek and they have been willing to deliver Normus to National Truck so other aspects can be handled which saves us from the !@#$!#$ traffic between Santa Cruz and Watsonville.

We ordered and installed a trailer hitch here for our new bike rack. They are very helpful from begging to the end and pay attention for our safety. You know it s a nightmare to deal with a big dealer sometimes. People at Street Scene are very honest and knowledgeable! We want to give them 10 stars if we can. Thank you very much guys! We don t have to take our bikes everywhere without worried and we enjoy them a lot!

I purchased a tow hitch to be installed and i got a tow hitch that was 8"-10" or so off my bumper it looks horrible and I hit at driveway dips. I wouldn't recommend anyone to get work done here. Very expensive terrible work with no desire to make it right. After I talked to ben about my dissatisfaction he told me I can buy another one and pay them to install it again. The whole installation cost me just shy of one thousand dollars. A very expensive learning experience. Try somewhere else even if you have to do a little driving.

These guys are the real deal when it comes to service, quality, and clarity of communication. I've worked with Bill, David, and Joseph, and all of them are extremely helpful, upbeat, knowledgeable, and skilled. I've had three projects done by Street Scene and am looking forward to more. Their installs on my Toyota Tacoma of a tonneau cover, Yakima racks, and air springs were top notch, their prices are competitive, and their explanations of how everything works and what I need is always clear and educational. I highly recommend Street Scene. They've been in this business for a long time, and I haven't found any other similar companies in the area that provide the level of service they offer.

Ben was extremely helpful and professional. I needed my low beam headlights replaced, he ordered the parts and text me the next day to set an appointment. I was and in and out in less than hour and my headlights are working great. I highly recommend Street Scene!

Needed our AC fixed while on vacation. Ben and his team were professional, personal, and thoroughly proficient in listening to our concerns and quickly fixing our car. Cost was completely reasonable and AC works wonderfully! We would definitely recommend Street Scene to everyone.
