While the owner, assistant and workers are very nice and professional, my experience has been the worst in my life. Called the week before meeting in person, meet the owner in person and was given a schedule date to drop off my vehicle for $100 evaluation. Towed my car on time 1pm Wednesday and only request given to owner and worker was to please not leave vehicle on the street at night unprotected from being able to steal or vandalism. The owner and worker gave me that promise ONLY to check on my vehicle 5 days later and hadn't moved a inch on the street. Sadly the owner only excuses was he didn't even know my car was directly in front of his shop all week and weekend. His price estimate was almost double his competition across the street. I would rather take my car to Mexico than waste my time here again, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL but nice people

Solid Shop, Good People. Transmission went out on my 2009 Subaru Forrester at 90k miles. Got pricing all over from 1500 - $5000 depending on the option, rebuild/ replace etc. Most shops wont work with used transmissions... which is a shame because you can get em for really good prices... I would rather have an original Subaru transmission, than have someone go into the tranny to rebuild it... Scott was down, super flexible, and would work with any option we chose... It was the cheapest option. We got a transmission with 18,000 miles and his team installed it. Back on the road, running better than it did when i got the car at 50k miles. Had a free check up to make sure there were no leaks... looking good. Got the whole job done for under $1800...

I recently purchased a 92 Nissan Hardbody pickup with some shifting issues. When it comes to paying for outside service, I strive to avoid wasting time and money by exploring my options to get the best price, quality and timely results. After doing some internet research and consulting with experts incluiding a Nissan expert's advice form the Just Ask website, I sought a diagnostic quote from a local Nissan dealership. The service writer assured me that their line mechanics were factory certified for transmission work. That makes sense but are they specialists and without being able to speak with someone who actually knew and specialized in transmissions I was concerned that this could become very costly.Coincidentally, a friend had just had just gotten his late model truck back from Moriomoto Transmission. This friend had been referred by another friend so I made an appointment with Scott Morimoto. It quickly became apparent that he was the kind of a transmission specialist I had in mind. Scott's diagnostic work quickly eliminated the likelihood of a need for costly transmission repair. However a failed electronic transmission module that was no longer available from Nissan or after market manufacturers would make my particular situation a bit time consuming and problematic.Given this, Scott allowed me to do my own search and acquisition for a suitable replacement module, with the understanding that he couldn't warranty a part he didn't provide. The long and short of all this is that I received excellent documented service as Morimoto tested for shorts and grounds in the wiring loom. This led to repairing, rewrapping and rerouting the damaged wiring away from the exhaust manifold. That was essential to prevent the risk of frying up the rare transmission module I had finally located once it arrived. Scott made short work of installing the module and testing to make sure that everything worked properly. In summary: Being a frugal DIY customer, my particular situation was probably not a simple cut and dried service and repair job that would be highly profitable for Morimoto Transmission. Nevertheless the work was given the same the attention to detail and quality service I expect as a customer and I'm stoked to have my truck back on the road. I will return for the transmission oil change and service that Morimoto provides even though it's priced higher than chain store lube jobs that may be satisfactory for an engine oil change.I highly recommend Scott and Moriomoto Transmissions for the highest quality transmission service and the integrity of character that make it a pleasure to write this review referral to others.Kevin S. Aromas, CaA happy customer.
