DO NOT COME HERE! If I could leave zero stars I would. This place is a total scam. I took my 2011 BMW here to get a diagnosis since it would backfire each time I accelerated, and would not start unless I tried 4-5 times. They had my car for a total of TWO WEEKS and did NOT do what was asked. Charged me $513.98 for a new CAS module, $800 for an intake manifold gasket, and multiple other charges for stuff that WAS NOT NECESSARY. Got a still broken car back after spending $2,825.17. I did not get it back the way I left it either, parts unfinished, bolts laying out everywhere, and trash. After trying to find a loyal mechanic, back to M Service I went. Feel free to take a look at the receipts and photos.

Quality services, honest and trustworthy owners. My 14 y.o. old Subaru (129K+ miles) is still running strong thanks to German Auto Clinic.

I have nothing but good things to say about German Auto Clinic. My mother's 2013 Volkswagen Tiguan left her on the side of the road 100 miles after an oil change and service at the dealer. Long story short, she was told the car either needed a $17,000 engine replacement or my mom had to get a new car.I worked for many years in car sales, so I went to speak to the dealer in the hopes of getting some more information and finding some solution but I was met with dishonesty and indifference.I found German Auto Clinic on Google and gave them a call. Jose was incredible. He was honest, full of good information and we put together a step by step plan to diagnose and see if we could save my mom's car.He was able to diagnose and repair the cause of the issue and he even found other things the VW service bay should of caught. In the end my mom has her car and I have a new mechanic. If you drive anything German and you want to keep it on the road, you really should bring it to German Auto Clinic. I have experience with many local shops and this experience has been the best I have had by far.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

I just had a 550CLS reviewed for a pre-Sale inspection at his shop. I never met Jose in person and did the appointment over the phone. His wife did the paperwork and I received the report 10 min after paying over the phone. He was prompt and precise in his work. I as a non-mechanic rely on professionals like him. He gave me estimates for each problem he found on the car and made it easy for me to make a sound decision. If I lived in Walnut Creek this would be my go to shop. I might bring my old Mercedes to him for maintenance. There are not too many businesses like him. Thank you!

Jose and his team are top notch. I took my 1964 VW Beetle to Jose and he did a wonderful job. He explained everything that needed work, the cost, and the time estimate. He took extra time to also fix a few minor things on his own. I will definitely be a regular customer - could not have gone better.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Super trustworthy! The first time I took my 2011 BMW 535 to Jose he saved me a ton of money by finding and fixing the root cause of an oil leak, instead of doing the dealer-recommended repairs (that would have only led to more repairs). I've been back German Auto a half dozen times since and every time I feel like I'm getting a great deal. My car now has only 60k miles and I'm planning on keeping it a long time, so Jose will be my mechanic for a long time to come! Plus, I love the location walking distance to Walnut Creek BART.

They fixed the all wheel drive on our Volvo XC60. They were quick and charged what they quoted. Car runs good now. What more can I ask?

Great, honest, service and a competitive price. Had a check engine light before my smog and the local Audi dealer quoted thousands more than the car is worth. Jose was very understanding, took a look and found some less expensive options, while being completely up-front about some of the potential downsides. Car is running great, and passed the smog test. He also found some maintenance things I've been putting off and gave me an itemized list with no hard-sell. Awesome experience!

I used German Auto Clinic to do a PPI on a 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo. The price was reasonable, and Jose was able to fit me in the same day I inquired. Jose did a good job, and identified a few faults that I was able to reference to get a fair price for the car.Service: Vehicle InspectionService: Vehicle Inspection

I take all my cars (4) to Jose. I trust him and his team completely. My last experience I had my daughter take her car to Jose for service and to check for safety. He called me with the bad news that it needed so much work the car wasn't worth the value of the work. He could have made a lot of money, but instead of doing the service he just checked the entire car. I am thankful for his honesty. The good news if my daughter has a newer safer car thanks to Jose and his team, and of course Jose will do the maintenance on this car too!

I came to German Auto Clinic after my brother took his car there for maintenance, and it was the right time for me since my warranty had run out and did not want to continue to go to the dealers since they charge so much. I was so happy to find an honest mechanic who was also very experienced and knowledgeable, he was very kind and helpful. Since I had no other car to use, he loaned me his personal truck until my car was ready. The truck was a huge hit with my 8 year old daughter who now says that she will drive a truck when she grows up. I highly recommend the clinic and will continue to go there whenever my car needs service.

It is rare to find a business that provides both high level expertise PLUS passion for their work. German Auto Clinic does both. I would not take any of my cars (even my American made ones) anywhere else. I have been using this company for over 10 years and they are always upstanding. I strongly recommend. If you want it done right search no further. Besides, you can have faith that you will be dealing with honest folks.Services: Transmission, Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Auto interior vacuuming, Battery, Oil change

I don't see why anyone would ever say their experience with Jose was negative. This is the most honest mechanic I've met and his crew are the most competent mechanics I've ever had. Jose takes pride in what he does, he is fair and he never forces anyone to have work done if they don't want it. Telling you in detail about the need for work is just good business. He'll fix what you ask and he won't pressure you to buy more if you don't want to do so. He'll let you see what is damaged before you make a decision and he'll show you the old parts he replaces. In no way is he trying to take advantage of anyone. I have trusted him for the past 12 years since I first found him, and he will service every car I ever own. Don't let negative reviews ruin what would be the best repairs you'd ever have and encounters with some of the nicest people in the repair business.Update: It's four years later and I still go to Jose. He is the best.

It was time to replace my timing belt and water pump so I called around for quotes. Jose, who I've gone to in the past with my other cars' service needs, gave me a fair quote so I scheduled with him. When he called to let me know the work was done, he told me he replaced the drive belt and tensioner as well because he noticed the bearing was beginning to make noise and he already had quick access anyway with the front end being apart. He gave me a break on the labor for the drive belt and even gave me the old tensioner assembly without my asking since it was an unplanned service item. He also spent time discussing what I can do to get more life out of my car. Jose did a thorough check of the car's major systems which gave me peace of mind since I do a long commute every day.Jose is very pleasant to work with and is very honest. He uses only OEM and high quality parts. Yolanda, his office manager, is equally professional and pleasant to deal with. I definitely would recommend German Auto Clinic to anyone.

I had hunted Rennlist and Google for "independent Porsche mechanics near Walnut Creek". German Auto kept coming up. I called for pre-purchase inspection on a 996 turbo since I am in Southern CA. Jose answered the phone, was very helpful and we had the car in his shop a few days later. He discussed his findings with me afterwards via phone and sent a complete report with his recommendations. Very happy with his friendly professional service. I highly recommend his business.

Brought in a car which needed a quick fix. I was impressed with what appeared to be great service and customer service interaction. Some time later our vehicle is giving an alarm for a feature that only yells at you when it is about to empty out. I think about it and realize I had driven this car beyond its due mileage, but never once had it inform me of nearing emptiness. So I decide to look into the average consumption for the fluid in question, and while the availability of information was limited, that math strongly suggests the car should have never alarmed. As GW once said, "Fool me once, shame on...shame on you. Fool me you can't get fooled again."

This guy knew a lot about my car, I didn't feel ripped off at all. Got an alignment and it feels like it did a few years ago. Prices are better than most German car shops and you need a German foreign car specialist for audi. No one else has the skills or tools. I'm happy with the shop.

The best quality for the best prices performed by a shop with true integrity and an obvious objective to fully meet the client's needs. In short, German Auto Clinic under-promises and over-delivers. They are the best in the business.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Auto windshield replacement, Oil changeServices: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Auto windshield replacement, Oil change

I have taken my older Mercedes to Jose and his crew on a number of occasions. The work is always performed to a high standard, in a timely manner, and for a reasonable cost. I would recommend German Auto Clinic to anyone and plan on always taking my car there

brought a few cars to the guy, some when I had him inspecting my company vehicles. he always loves to change mounts, engine or transmission, he loves to change them because it's easy money. recommends replacing things that are less than perfect even if there is plenty of serviceable life left in them. Be aware, selling you parts is how a shop keeps the doors open. buyer beware, however, because it's your pocket and you don't need to say yes. educate your self as much as you can or find a friend to ask.prices were par for the course, which is to say high. that's just the way it is with german auto repair in Walnut Creek, no matter what anyone says...i would not recommend this shop.

Super trustworthy, friendly and helpful. Had to come in for a quick check up on a bad sound I was hearing. Very last minute appointment and 30 minutes from closing, they agreed to help out and quickly diagnosed the problem and provided direction on how to fix it (and gave me assurances that it was not major and that I could get it fixed at a later date).

Absolutely THE MOST REPUTABLE AND HONEST mechanic I have ever met. They shatter all of the negative stereotypes! It's refreshing to see integrity, quality, knowledge, care, and kindness all in one place. From a customer's point of view, they are the model of how a small business should be run.

Just had my yearly service on my c63 AMG plus the ECU tune. All smiles. The downshift is loud as hell. I love it!! Any c63 driver needs to get the ECU performance tune. It changes the car.

My car broke broke while on vacation. Jose made this job a priority and got me back on the road in a day. The work seems to be holding up and everything was fairly priced.
