Another unsatisfied customer. Was a lifelong customer for Diablo Subaru. All due to the service department. Brought it in and explained that the lift gate was opening rough and started to sag at full open. $1200 for a new liftgate motor will fix it. Fine. Lift gate still does the same thing. In the description of work performed they state and I quote. Lift gate not opening all the way and closing. Not true. Changed lift gate motor now working as it should. Also not true. Brought it back and now they say it is the struts. Want another $125 but they wont charge me for the 20 mins of labor to change a couple struts. Nobody could explain to me what they found with the motor. Said a gear was slipping in it. I know for a fact that it is false. It was the struts the whole time. CONGRATS Diablo subaru service. I was planning on buying my wife a new Ascent for her birthday. Now that aint happening. I am taking my business elsewhere and am going to tell everyone in my union, on the building trades council, and every single job site I visit what a dishonest shop you run. I know for a fact it cost you one vehicle sold and one lifetime of service. I am going to make it a point that it costs you more. Hope the $1200 bucks was worth it.

The worst of the worst! My car has been in the shop three times for the same problem that they supposedly fixed twice before. I am not confident that they will get it right on the third try. Talked with the manager who was defensive and unpleasant. Not a good experience (see yelp reviews for specifics)

Excellent Service, Quick ProcessArriving at 7:00 am, I found a line already formed, but it was swiftly managed by the efficient staff. David's helpful assistance made the process a breeze, and I was out in just 15 minutes. Great overall service!

My 2019 Ascent has a recall. They contacted me to bring it in for the service. I schedule 2 weeks out because I needed a loaner. They informed me this morning that they had no loaners available. They offered me a Lyft back home but I had planned a morning in Walnut Creek doing errands, etc... I cancelled the appointment. They explained that the loaner was a courtesy (it was a recall appointment) and by 8:00am all the loaners were gone. Why did I have a reservation for a loaner if you gave them all away by 8:00?? I have not had great service from the dealer in the past but I have no alternative. Very frustrating.

After waiting 2.5 hours for an oil change and being told it hasn't even been started, I was mad because after 2 hours had asked how long and he told me "they WERE literally working on it right now" So I was lied to. NEVER again

I moved nearby so wanted to give this try. But, $400 for an oil change? This is my first and last service here. Going back to my old dealer service who does it for $120-$150 total!

We've taken our Subaru here twice in the six months we've owned it; both times the service was terrible. The first time they mislead my wife on the cost of repairs - quoting one price in the signed estimate and then attempting to charge a much larger price on pickup without notice ... they just tried to sneak a price almost double the estimate in. Recently, we took our car back in for a recall issue, were told upon our arrival car would be done in 30 minutes; over 1.5 hours later the car is finally finished. This place lacks any semblance of a professional business. We love our Subaru and if you love yours take it to a different service center.

Took my new Subaru in for its first oil change. When I arrived and handed over my car to be serviced, I informed the Diablo Subaru Service Center employee, Andrew, my car had been making a weird clunking noise that seemed to be coming from the suspension. I asked him to look into this as this noise was quite loud and couldn't be good. He informed me they would look into this and I waited in the nice outdoor lounge until the service was finished. Andrew informed me they looked at the area where the noise was reported to have come from, but they didn't see anything wrong. I asked if they test drove the car to try and replicate the noise and Andrew informed me that would take a special mechanic and I would have to schedule that for another time. It would have been really nice if he would have informed me of that from the beginning when I reported it. Andrew seemed almost bothered when I asked questions and raised concerns about the noise and inquired how to resolve the issue. There was no effort to make sure the noise isn't coming from something that could worsen and be bad for the car, or worse yet, be dangerous while driving. He made no effort to help resolve the issue and through his dry response and blah personality, I was quickly made aware how important clients are in the Diablo Service Center. Diablo Subaru should put Andrew in the back and teach him how to stock shelves or something. That guy should not be client facing. Also, on their website it says they clean and wipe down the drivers area in the car to sanitize it after it is serviced due to COVID concerns. I watched the mechanic pull my car out of the garage when it was done and there was no wiping down or sanitizing done to the car. Just more disappointment.Service: Oil change

Subaru service is the epitome of professional. The shop is quite busy, there are so many customers needing service that you have to understand that setting up appointments and sticking to them are a critical aspect of getting excellent regular maintenance. That said, when you have a problem that is affecting your ability to use your car, they will pull rabbits out of their hat to get you back on the road. The people are fun and positive, yet very professional.

Instead of diagnosing my issue they made a guess based on a bulletin. They said if that doesn't fix the issue (over a $1000 later) that they would have to repeat the diagnostic process that they never did in the first place.

Very busy and backed up. Took 20 min to get down the driveway and get checked in. Pretty expensive for an oil change.
