This was my first visit to Diablo Auto, for 60k service on my Subaru. I found the entire experience from scheduling to payment very efficient, and the personal service friendly and welcoming. Their pricing was so much better than the dealer, and they did not add a bunch of services that were not necessary. I will return for future car services (we have two Subarus), and would not hesitate to recommend Diablo Auto to anyone in need of car repairs or maintenance.

Outstanding experience, overall. My mom had an emergency situation where her check engine light went on. I called two other shops and they couldn t get her in. John fit her in right away and discovered a rat chewed through her entire air filter box. Her car wouldn t go over 20 miles an hour and it was her only car. he recommended a tow shop and got her in the same day. The next day he texted a very detailed estimate with pictures and followed it up with a phone callVery very easy to understand straight forward, very nice and flexible, very calming when my mom was very upset. Can t recommend highly enough. He even went out of his way to find a part that was new on eBay instead of paying the dealer four times the amount. He really went above and beyond.

I brought my vehicle in for much-needed maintenance and received an incredibly detailed inspection report along with their excellent service! I just picked up my vehicle after a total brake replacement, my second visit here, and I'm so happy with this shop. The estimates and follow-up were so clear and helpful. This was my first time using their service and it was fantastic. They diagnosed my Hybrids problem, gave me a quote and their tech Jose fixed it w/in 24hrs (During the Holidays)! Easy online booking process, Jon & Melissa had great communication and I d definitely recommend this company! #LifeSavers

Took my Porsche in for service and new tires. During the dri e my infotainment screen started flipping out. Jon recommended I should go to dealer down the street. Did that...... dealer was a rip so decided to trade out for a newer model. Jon was very accommodating even tho he had the tires delivered already. Would not accept 100 for the trouble. Very kind of him. Will

When I first got Tillee (2003 Toyota 4Runner) I asked my buddy Jobe where I should take her for service. He was a mechanic but recommended I go to Diablo Automotive and he was correct: they were amazing. But, life can change in an instant and Diablo Automotive is suddenly gone. So, Diablo Auto Specialists have stepped in to pick up where things left off. New location and new owners but the same amazing service. And in a huge twist of irony, they are located in my buddy s old building.I took our truck there for some potential warranty work last week and although it wasn t clear if the parts were defective, the owner happily made the necessary repairs, which I fully appreciate. I usually do small repairs on my own but for anything that requires talent and experience, this is the new service home for Tillee. Five stars!!!

The service is great! Met Bill for the first time and he was ever -pleasant and personable. John and Melissa are super friendly, always providing service with a smile. John has helped me numerous of times with my van, even repairing a loose part they had installed with no extra charges. I have the sense that they are straightforward with their work and their fee structure. I have been a customer for years prior to them taking over Diablo Auto Specialists from the late owner, Tim Stussi, who passed prematurely, and they are upholding his honest, transparent, and hard working reputation. I ve waited a few years to write this review because I wanted to evaluate their honesty and integrity with several interactions over time, building trust. I am touched that they still honor Tim s legacy by providing the 10 % coupon to their customers via the website. John and the crew at Diablo auto specialists always take great care of me and my car. Although I ve had several issues lately, they always get me in in a timely fashion, and look to save me money wherever they possibly can. They also give me the choice of what repairs to make and though I always follow their recommendations, I appreciate the transparency. I also love that they send you video of the issues with the car so you know what s being done and the impact that it is having.

I replaced the fender liner on my car. They were friendly and gave me a fair price. As long as they re around, I don t think I ll ever have to go to the car company s official service center.

Great service and drop off day before. The new report via text or email that they send has an interface that explains each repair with photos that should or need to be done. You can call or approve remotely depending on what you choose. They are timely with great customer service. Jon was great. Tim would be proud of the service staying 5 stars. Diablo Auto was great! Melissa took great care of me and provided a long list of problems they found with the car but prioritized exactly what was needed to make sure I was setup for success on my long trip out to burning man. I even had another auto shop confirm their repair and prices and they said Diablo Auto was fair pricing and a great approach. Will be visiting them again

I'm a first timer with Jon and Melissa but I believe I have found my go-to car doctors with them! Melissa was very friendly on the phone and Jon at the front desk was friendly, thorough and efficient. I dropped the car off late afternoon and it was ready with new brakes early the next morning. The lady i spoke on the phone with to make my appointment was super friendly and gracious, exceeded only by the man who greeted me upon arrival. They did a great job letting me wait for the service. They went out of their way to take care of me. A big thank you to Jon and his team for fitting me in on such short notice. I've been using different auto repair shops around the area for a while now but never found one as good as Diablo Auto Specialists. Friendly service, quick turn around, and honest pricing/advice. I didn t know who to go to, so I prayed for the Holy Spirit to guide me. The Lord led me to Diablo Auto Specialists here in Walnut Creek. Jon answered the phone, he didn t rush or pressure me. He is patient, a blessing and genuinely kind.I was pleasantly surprised my vehicle was ready when Jon called me. I expected for it to sit for about two weeks or more while I was out of town; then hit up for storage fees. (That actually happened to me in San Francisco years ago)It s apparent Diablo Auto Specialists owners/management vet their tradesmen to make sure they re getting the cream of the crop. Their work and customer service skills are truly a gift from God.I give them ten stars! Thank you Diablo Auto Specialists! These guys are amazing, I would highly recommend them to anyone I know who needs servicing on their vehicle. I needed an AC compressor replacement on my primary vehicle and they were able to schedule a drop off and complete the work with minimal downtime. The price for the work was fair and customer service is exceptional. I would definitely come back the next time I need a repair.Service: A/C installation & repair

Great service, they explained everything to me perfectly. My car was over heated and Concord Honda told me it was the head gasket and wanted me to pay $5,500 or sell them my car. This did not seem right so I took it to a few other places that did not seem that interested until I found Diablo. They did a great job fixing my water pump. I have taken my Mustang to Diablo Auto Specialist for several years now. They are incredible. They are knowledgeable about the extent of the repairs required and the possible side effects (such as replacing valves on an older vehicle). They also are incredibly reasonable in their pricing structure - especially on troubleshooting electrical issues. They are fantastic and I will continue to use them for my auto repair needs!Services: Electrical, Air conditioning

Outstanding customer service and communication. New to the area, I needed a shop that my daughter could get her BMW repaired after a blowout on the freeway. We had the car towed to the shop and John, the service manager, helped to get the tires and brakes replaced in less time than expected. He was available to answer questions and provided us a comprehensive and reasonable estimate electronically, so that the only trip my daughter needed to make to the shop was when she picked up her car. I brought my Mercedes here for a battery issue. When I was told what was done, there were no parts used, just labor. Not only was I not told how long the labor took, but my receipt did not provide a labor time either. Without parts listed on the receipt and no tally of hours worked, I was astonished to see how much the total came to. Additionally, to make matters worse, the guy at the counter was on the phone with the owner and had me wait about 15 minutes before he would talk to me. If he had been on the phone with a customer, I would understand more, but he stated afterwards that he was on the phone with the owner. That is simply poor customer service. Also, their offer to clean headlights at over $100 seems like a rip. I went to another car shop for an unrelated issue, and they posted that they clean headlights for $50 which I decided to do and they turned out terrific. I do not recommend this place at all.

What I liked best about Diablo Auto Specialists is they called me back after I left a message to arrange for an appointment. Being more than slightly narcissistic, at times, I hate being ignored and Jon called back right away and was very accommodating and courteous. ONE positive star. Another thing I hate is a messy or dirty facility. Facilities were clean and organized and even offered coffee and water for clients who waited while their car was being worked on. SECOND star checked. When I picked up the car, Jon explained things I wasn t aware about my old Toyota Sienna that they fixed. THIRD star checked. The cost was very reasonable. FOURTH star checked. Jon is very friendly, a good communicator and obviously very experienced and skilled. FIFTH star checked! Very happy with the entire experience. And, a happy narcissist !

Very happy to have found this business from other reviews. Very professional, customer oriented, understanding and knowledgable. Also, no fuss when I noticed a slight hiccup after the picking the car up, brought it back the next day and the issue was quickly resolved; Jon and Melissa were very sorry I had to bring it back.
