Second time using these guys and still very pleased. My Jeep was having an issue and they were able to accommodate me very quickly. First spoke with Eugene and worked with Derek again which they both were awesome. I was honestly anticipating my car to be there the whole week since I didn't have an appointment or anything and they had a really quick turn around time which made me very happy. Communication was thorough all throughout. Luckily what my car ended up needing was not anything too major. Overall very very happy with this team. Can't stress enough how happy I feel to have a shop out this way I know I can trust and plan to continue to use these guys. Thanks again Derek and team!

I had electrical issues with my 1999 Ford F150 . The left and right turn signal levers were not working after I moved my steering wheel down to better see the road. Derek the owner told me he would put his best electrical person (lady) on my car. Three hours later I was called to pick up my car. Everything worked perfectly. Didn't get service done but they were a lot of help anyway. I just bought a new car and was having some trouble. Derek took a look and at my car and told me everything I need to know about the problems, how to go about renegotiating with my seller, and how much repairs would cost. I had previous went to the AAMCO in concord, but the woman at the front desk wanted to charge $120 just to look at the transmission without repair, but here in walnut creek, I was given a full check and even a typer up document of everything wrong with my car. They were friendly and didn't seem like they were trying to scam me out of my money. 10/10 experience. I will definitely be coming back when I do happen to need a service next time.Service: Transmission

I brought my 2005 GMC Denali to Aamco Transmissions in Walnut Creek after it suffered a breakdown. Derek assured me I was in good hands and that he and his staff would get to the cause of the problem. It was no easy fix, as it needed a new transmission and transfer case. My Denali is also All Wheel Drive and can be challenging to repair. Derek kept me posted throughout the course of the repairs and gave me a loaner vehicle to drive during repairs! My experience with Jay and Aracelli was Awesome! They were able to calm my anxiety over the fear that I need a new transmission for my car. The technician was able to pinpoint the issue and repaired it. In addition, I gladly accepted the recommendation of getting transmission fluid replaced so that I can drive my car another 100,000 miles! The team is very professional. They listened to the customer and able to provide solutions to any issues that they find! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this GREAT team!

The owner DerekI don't think I have enough space in this area to tell you how I feel about Derek, from day one that I moved to Walnut Creek and I came to aamco transmissions he has taken care of me, he is my go-to mechanic permanently, he himself and his staff are very professional and thorough and listens to you as the customer to figure the problem out, I'll refer AAMCO transmission and owner Derek to anyone .!I'm not just saying this , I truly mean that this man is the best mechanic that you can find and fair on the price.Al Holmes.

I've brought both my 2017 Subaru Outback and my 1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer (for a complete transmission rebuild) to the team at Aamco in Walnut Creek, and they have consistently exceeded my expectations. Awesome place. Had our 2013 f150 sticking in first gear at random times. They diagnosed it after trying to get it to act up, and fixed it along with doing a couple other things that needed some maintenance.

I highly recommend Derek. I recently purchased a 2008 Toyota Rav4. I brought my car to Aamco and Derek did a complete inspection for me at no charge. He was very honest and told me that even though there are a few things that could be fixed down the line that everything is safe and there is no need to waste my money fixing anything at this time. He even showed me how to check my oil and coolant and explained a few other things to me about my car. He was extremely helpful. I'm so glad to have such a honest and helpful mechanic.

Derick and his team take great care of my 2005 Subaru Outback wagon and work with me to keep the costs affordable. Even when little oddball things happen as was the case when my "door open" signal on the instrument panel would not go off even though the door was fully closed. I highly recommend them.

So grateful to Derek and his team! The dealership tried to con me into replacing a part for $1100 and all that was wrong was a few loose bolts! These guys had me safely back on the road in no time. We'll have all our work done here from now on.

We are so thankful we found Derek and his crew!!! We had one of those terrible problems with our 2017 Audi that everyone said this never happens but it was happening to us. Our transmission was failing and the Audi dealership s solution was to install a new transmission for $18k. We decided to check around and see if it could be repaired or replaced for less. No other place would even touch it because of the difficulty when working on these cars. We found this shop doing a Google search looking for a place with great reviews and hoped they could help. Not only did they take it on Derek made it his personal mission to either repair or replace our transmission for less than $18k. We felt completely comfortable and confident in Derek and his team. We made the right choice and have our Audi back in great working condition. AND it cost us a lot less than the Dealership s 18k!!! We will be customers for life!! This is that garage you hope to find that is knowledgeable and their prices are fair. Thank you Derek, Jay and all the others for your help.

Made an appointment after reading online reviews & had our vehicle towed to the Walnut Creek AAMCO and was very impressed with the attention & customer service by the staff & owner. I had a transmission leak. Big o recommended a shop that was too far away so I started researching. First off I was concerned by the reputation of aamco from growing up. Secondly, the shear number of glowing reviews was suspect but I decided to trust the reviews and give them a try. Got an estimate from Derek and relayed my concern that I was not sure it was worth it as it is an extra car that isn't worth a whole lot. Derek was completely understanding and we talked it over and he said he would do all he could to work with the cost. I get the feeling that he just likes keeping cars on the road vs maximizing profits or price gouging. They completed the repair and even washed it, cleaned the interior and even put tire dressing and plastic dressing. I was really blown away! This is not the Aamco I remember with the cheesy commercials from the 80s. I can't speak for all the Aamcos but I totally trust this shop and would not hesitate to bring any of my vehicles here in the future as they do all sorts of work, not just transmissions.

Great, exceptional service. I mean I've been to many auto service shops over the years and I am always amazed at the level of service that I have received from AAMCO here. I felt confident enough to have my college bound daughter go here on her own to get a quote on a transmission replacement for her vehicle. Derek and his team to great care and helped her get the work done that was needed at reasonable prices. Derek filled me in along the way as the parts were order and work completed. I just cannot recommend Derek and his team enough. Fabulous trusted business.
