10 stars! Checked with around 10+ shops around SD CA to get my new wheels and tires installed, they are the cheapest and service is straight to the point! They know exactly what to do and they dont offer add-ons, No monkey business. One of the best service Ive ever had! This branch definitely one of the best there is!

Called 2 times and did not answer. The first time i ended the call, waited 10 minutes then called again. The second time I was in the phone line waiting 25 minutes, then a lady answered. The lady wasn t kind enough to say a word, you could just hear she was talking to another person. A I will be right with you would of been nice.At this point i understood she might be busy so i kept waiting on the line. After she finished talking to the client went silent but you can still hear she was there.I proceeded to wait over 45 minutes until i had to hang up. Complete waste of time.I was able to take a picture when I got over the 40 minute mark.

I went to get a wheel alignment and pay for a 1 year warranty. Liz told me there's a lifetime warranty for 200.00 and Pep Boy's has a 30.00 coupon. The year warranty costs 129.00. I took the lifetime warranty and paid 170.00. 40.00 dollars more, I took it because I have brand new tires. I went to the gym and about an hour later they texted me and advised me my vehicle was ready. I returned for my vehicle and my front wheel alignment. has been adjusted and driving well. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Dropped off my vehicle to have breaks and alignment done. The service advisor told me there was a coupon she would apply for the lifetime alignment deal, which was not applied. The vehicle inspection report made it seem like I brought it in because of "Multiple Dash Lights On" which was not at all the case. When I dropped off my vehicle there were no lights on. They recommended replacing some sensors due to a code that was associated with the lights which I declined, if this was truly an issue, it was caused by the technicians. When I got in my car, the lights were indeed illuminated and the visual assist function was also indicating a problem. All of these indications cleared after driving the vehicle a block. I'm guessing that having the breaks taken apart caused the vehicle to report these issues but once they were restored they cleared. My issue is that the store was trying to make it seem as though these were preexisting issues and wanted to charge me to repair them. I would hope that a technician would have the sense that the maintenance they were performing may cause these indications and not immediately try to cover their tracks and charge me more money for unneeded repairs. I've completely lost trust in this location.

Mario was excellent in customer service and expertise. He recommend several different tires based on what I was looking for. After getting my tires done my car actually feels a lot more smoother of a drive! Thank you Mario at the Tire Center.

My battery died so I called a local chain auto ship and they quoted me over $300 for the battery and installation. I called Pep Boys and they gave me a list of battery options for my car that they had available, warranty information, and installation cost. I was in and out of there quickly and treated kindly throughout the process. I'd def recommend.

Don't schedule appointments for when your mechanics are at lunch. People make appointments to maximize their time, not to wait almost an hour just to be pulled into the bay. I wouldn't be back here if the job was done right when the car was initially brought in a month ago.

Do not waste your time! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. The staff is very rude, they will sit there and speak nasty about their customers in Spanish thinking that they don t understand what they re saying. Both the lady at the front and the mechanics in the back kept mocking me and saying really rude things about me in Spanish as i asked about the status of my car. I was told my car would be ready in 2 to 3 hours, well, 6 hours later I was still waiting for a simple oil change. It was unbelievable, at the end of the service after 6 hours of waiting, the clerk recommended I not come back because they re always busy and that I would have the same experience the next time I come in. I will gladly take that advice. I will never go to Pep Boys on 1000 Tierra Del Rey ever again

Had a slow leak in a tire. Made an 8:00 appt today. Was there early, first person in line when they opened. At 9:10, they still didn't look at the tire. My car was just sitting in the parking lot the whole time. I asked why they make appointments they can't keep and was told, '"That is something we are working on." I left without an apology and went to Discount Tire. My time is too valuable to wait around like that. That is why I made an appointment. There is Discount Tire, Costco has tires, Valvoline changes the oil in 15 minutes--- all right there. No Pep Boys coupon or brake special could ever bring me back. If you choose this Pep Boys, I hope you have a better experience.

My girlfriend took her car here a 2018 Hyundai Sonata SEL, 50k miles on it for a routine brake job car is maintained well. Rotor resurface, brake bleed, pads, the works. I got her a 9AM appointment which she was promptly on time. I did not go with her as I was busy, normally I would. I have NEVER seen such horrible service at this shop as I have today. For starters I get that jobs take some time, I get it. But having a 9am appointment and then getting the car back at 5:15pm for a brake job?So, we get the car back and they suggest a front wheel bearing replacement (side not specified to her or on the paperwork just one side). Which I found odd, so I took a look at it myself and I did not feel any play in the front wheels whatsoever. Rear HUB replacement suggested, again I found odd (checked myself again and behold, no need). AND while checking the rear HUB they forgot to put an entire lug nut on the rear driver side! So, I had to drive to AutoZone at 8pm to get ONE lug nut which they don't sell singles so we had to buy a 20 pack! $40 for Pep Boys mistake! Not only did they forget one lug nut completely I checked all the lugs myself and they were NOT torqued down at all. I had to torque them down myself.Management you guys need to make this right in at least giving us some money back for this job. The way this car was put back together you guys should be ashamed. It's a shame since I used to come here all the time for minor jobs.I would beware if you are a female and do not know much about cars here. Find another reputable shop to work on your car.

Excellent service! Returned a battery for my mother-in-law, that was under warranty! The tech tested it and confirmed the problem and gave me a new battery. No hassle or problems. Nice that they stand behind what they sell and honor the warranty.

I never had Issues at any Pep Boys but since Ive been taking my vehicle to 1000 tierra del rey location in san diego! My car is in the shop every week! Problems keep coming and coming.. It seems that they don t know what the problem is and they re just guessing everytime. Also ladys from registers are very rude and they acted like they re mechanics and they now whats going on with the vehicle

Ricardo and guillermo are both amazing. Without typing too much and letting you know the entire story, Just know that they both saved me a lot of money and was able to fix a BMW malfunction that the dealer couldn't fix. They also saved me money on an all around brakejob, including rotors and sensors. The best part is that they were able to finish the job in 1 day without an appointment, even though they had to order parts from BMW. Guillermo is a magician. I'm not sure how he fixed this light malfunction so quickly. And ricardo is heavensent, his honesty and zeal has won me over. Saved me a lot of money.

Ricardo the general manager was awesome from the beginning of helping me to the very end of the service. I took my car in for new brakes and rotors. He explained everything to me via telephone and what needed to be done along with the costs of the service. His team was professional and did a thorough check of my vehicle as well. Great customer service and the best thing, I got my car back the same day. Thank you Ricardo to you and your team.

Overall not bad. Checking out was a bit slow. They were busy, but I had to essentially walk to the counter to let them know my car was done. Everything else was fine.

Pep Boys did the service exactly as I had requested. Repair was finished as per their time slot, and sent a notification via a text message.It can be aggravating when having to get your vehicle serviced or repaired, but Pep Boys did well to ease my concerns. Thank You.

Made an appointment to have vehicle serviced.....came in for appointment......9a.m....simple maintenance check....on an electric vehicle......every 10,000 miles.....no oil to change.....no transmission fluid.....no antifreeze....Reception told me when I arrived that " we don't really do electric vehicles "......Well I looked on the store website and .....it was clear as day.... WE SERVICE ELECTRIC VEHICLES ...I guess the boys in the back told her .....we don't want to do electric vehicles....Either way.....got here at 9 for an appointment an at 11 a.m I am sitting here and the car has not been touched....next service call. ...I will take it to another Pep boys across town....and will make sure that they want to do the work they advertise.....So if you have an electric vehicle you may want to try a different PEP Boys.....they act they are scared of electric vehicles over here.

Caden is awesome, professional and so helpful. He did not hesitate to answer all my questions and help -even went out of his way to grab me a phone charger when my phone died. Angel provided great service for my car and made sure I left with a safe vehicle, considering I commute 8 hours each weekend. This team was so kind and I really appreciated their work ethic!

I am very pleased with the tire replacement service I received today (5/17). I waited in line for only one minute before Liz assisted me. I had an appointment at 10:00 am. I had received a quote for replacing all four of my tires on Monday. Somehow my appointment was changed from Wednesday to Tuesday and I didn t know until I received an email telling me I had missed the appointment on Tuesday. I called immediately on Tuesday and got the appointment changed to today (5/17). Liz was able to honor the amount I had been quoted on Monday. The cost was higher on Wednesday. I really appreciated her checking to be sure there were no other promotions or specials available to lower the cost of replacing all four tires even more. I had been told my car probably wouldn t be ready until 12:30 because two technicians were out sick. I was very pleased and impressed when I was told it was ready at 11:50. Thank you for your very professional and very helpful employees like Liz and the tech(s) who worked on my vehicle. You all made my day. Lord bless you all!
