Paul is awesome. A little pricey but I trust him, and I do my oil changes there. I wouldnt do stuff outside of oil change because recently they didn't put the tire back on correctly and it almost flew off on the freeway.

I had purchased a battery from Midas, and even though it was under warranty they refused to honor the warranty on the battery. They instructed me to go to interstate directly despite the hardship they knew it would cause in the middle of cancer treatments - every other mechanic and tow truck driver that came in contact with my vehicle stated it was a bad battery and that it failed their tests but this shop simply stated it is not their problem when it experienced issues with the battery in their parking lot and they stated it was ready I pleaded with them to help but they wouldn t and when it died three minutes away at Autozone they refused to take back the vehicle and help. Even though I offered to just buy a new battery they refused still. I had to get another shop to replace the battery as it is built into the car underneath the windshield, and I had to go to interstate to switch it out in San Diego. Truthfully, I would never go to a Midas again for service.It is one thing to preform a test, but it s another to continually refuse service and state it s not your problem knowing that you are a franchise and corporate will protect you since your not directly connected. They may state that they tried, and they were helpful but I can tell you they were not. I needed help and they told me to go to Ford, or to go to interstate and I did both in the end but nothing was wrong with my vehicle other then the fact that the battery needed changed. There was no draw, and interstate was never refusing to help they were so surprised they wouldn t honor the warranty. I have never been told to go to manufacturer, and I couldn t believe I was. To have a shop refuse to help, knowing I needed help was so disheartening. I was literally so sick and waited hours for a tow truck come over something that could have been completely avoided and they justified it because they kept saying it wasn t their problem, and they didn t feel comfortable working on the vehicle since they weren t the original shop that replaced the battery even though they are the same company. When someone needs help you don t pass the buck, and you don t turn them away I just genuinely felt they lacked humanity as did my family who listened to the calls, and heard the way I had been treated it was the worst experience I have had at a mechanic and I wouldn t wish it on anyone.Midas really fell short.

I went here to get my car checked for resonating metallic noise that I ve been hearing on the driver side. Got told it was the wheel bearings. So I replaced the entire wheel bearing hubs on all four wheels. Spent close to $2400 and low and be hold, the problem was still there. So I went back thinking maybe they installed faulty wheel bearings. Well the same guy that installed them heard the same sound again so he replaced the two front bearings. Unfortunately, that didn t fit the problem and I just gave up at that point. So I am out $2400, and my car is still not fixed. This place is run by a bunch of amateurs. I ended up taking the car to another auto shop and they correctly diagnosed the issue. How can you call yourself a true mechanic if you can t even diagnose the issue? Pathetic. Avoid these guys like the plague and go elsewhere.

This Midas location is awesome. Chris and Paul at the desk are both helpful, honest, informative and a pleasure to speak with. Darius (I think) one of the tech s was more than cool last time I was there. I m usually there for an oil change (which includes a tire rotation!) Darius, went out of his way to show me personally, an issue he found with my car. Not only will you get an awesome price here, you ll get awesome service from genuine good people. Felt like a long time customer from the first time I even just called for a quote. If you re tired of being pressured, upsold and having unpleasant experiences at an auto shop. Go here.

My car indicated that my tire pressures was low, so I took it to Midas for a free tire refill. I am so happy I chose Midas because they observed that my vehicle needed new tires and that was the reason my tire pressure signal kept blinking. The entire process to change the tires took about a half an hour and the price was very reasonable. Everyone at Midas was very helpful and friendly and I would recommend using them again.Service: Tires

My experience with this location was nothing but a nightmare. I took my 24' class C motorhome for front brakes and ended up with a $3000.00 for rear drums and brakes as well. However, the repairs on the rear were done so poorly which caused overheating, warped drums and near brake failure. When I went back to explain the horrible performance and possible failure, I was given excuse after excuse. They couldn't explain why the pedal went soft and that the parking brake light on the dash was on. It appeared that the seal broke and found out that it had not been replaced on the onset. Also I was told that I needed a $6500 rear axle overhaul. I was missing 2 bolts, one on each side, and that I had asked why they hadn't seen that the last 2 times they checked my brakes. Their explanation was " maybe since it's a 1999 they only needed 3 bolts instead of 4". I may not know brakes, but that was the most ridiculous explanation of all times. That was it. They were totally incompetent and it was obvious that my camper was out of their abilities. They were definitely taking advantage of me. They can't diagnose so they decide to replace everything in the hopes the problem goes away. PATHETIC.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.Service: Brakes

These guys are the best. Honest and friendly and always go above and beyond to help. My family and I have had a lot of work done on our vehicles here (Vista location) over the years and I am 100% confident that I am always getting the best service they can provide whether it's maintenance or major repairs, older vehicles or brand new ones. No hesitation to highly recommend Paul, Chris and the whole crew.

It's a great place to get your car worked on The guys Are reliable Theycan get the job done I had my Car and there a few months ago they remembered me and I need a lube job on my truck and They did it for free there is an update about this place and how they scammed me well it's sad that midas has gone to far and Violated every trust Rule Made a and charged me for work they never did I paid for a timing belt kit And the catalytic converter which they charge me $800 to weld on and I bought the parts myself from Amazon. 3 months later my car breaks down and I don't know what it is Until An ASE certified Mechanic starts to take my car park after A few Check point of the car were done he noticed a belt sticking out of the timing belt cover Proceeded to take it apart to see a timing belt That had never been changed new timing belt have writing on Them Part numbers dates They were Made ext This threw up red flags on huge disappointments with This company

We always get great service from this business. Whether it is an appointment or a dead battery like today, which was done in less than an hour. When we find so many services that are missing any customer service let alone great service we appreciate these guys so very much. Would send anyone to them. At first I was really excited to go to this tire shop in Vista, but then I got scammed.I came from Poway to go to this Midas instead of the local one. Paul was kind and helped me find the right tires for my Jeep. We had to order them from a warehouse in TX. But they came quickly and my appointment was super fast and easy. They also did an oil change and alignment.Here's where things go south.In the office, I was shown paperwork with an alignment value that was way off and corrected. When I got home, I checked because I had just gotten the alignment done recently- after a few front end parts were replaced. The values on the papers he put into my envelope were different than the ones I was shown in the store.So we compared the paperwork from Midas to the recent alignment values from another shop nearby. They were very similar. Almost exactly identicle, in fact.The thing is, the previous alignment had been marked with paint over the bolt and nut in a couple places so that you can tell if it had been done again. It had not been touched. The seal wasn't broken.So I was charged an extra $100 for an alignment that I not only didn't need, it wasn't even actually done.

Massively misdiagnosed my car. And tried charging $1000+ just for labor. Of course just another Terrible money hungry scummy Midas. Terrible customer service skills as well

perfect example of a mechanic taking advantage of people. took my car in so they can check my brakes since they weren t working well . they ended up saying i had to change my new brakes bc they were contaminated by leaking brake fluid change the brake system. and all this other unnecessary stuff.they were trying to charge 1010 but hey good thing they were so considerate trying to give me a $50 coupon! towed it to my guy in ramona who just had to pump out the air out of the brake lines. saved my self $900 don t trust these kinds of people and always get a second opinion. shoutout canelo s tires!Service: Brakes

THANK YOU midas for offering complementary etching for catalytic converters.I called last month to inquire about the promotion and Paul was very informative and courteous to share process and updates to this promotion. I took my car in on Friday morning at 7:30am. Darious worked on my car and was great and very attentive. I was back on the road within 30 minutes!highly recommend for their staff and efficiency.

I met with Paul, the manager, about checking out a used car I was purchasing for my granddaughter. He responded as if he were buying for 'his' daughter. He had everything inspected, showed me the results, and explained what needed to be done and what could wait. Most repair shops would have taken advantage, but Paul did not. Oil change and alignment was done plus a full inspection. Thanks to Paul I am now confident I am giving my granddaughter a safe vehicle. I highly recommend this shop. I forget the mechanic's name who worked on my car, but I have to compliment him too. He was thorough, professional, and polite. Everyone at Paul's shop was professional and well trained. Have had 2 oil changes here. Both great experiences. Easy to make appointments, 1 by phone, 1 online. Staff super curtios, fast & thorough. Can not thank Paul and Chris/company enough for being so kind and providing such quick and efficient last second service for my 07 335i that VERY MUCH needed an alignment and now my car feels so much better and comfortable! Thank you guys!!

I was sooooo impressed with Chris and Paul!!I needed a new rotor and they made SURE that I was able to get TWO new rotors on MY budget!! Which was 240.00. The price was 302.00 all I had was the 240.00 from the quote I was given over the phone and they STOOD by that!!!I cannot say enough about the GREAT customer service!They also offered to take me where ever I needed to go instead of waiting AND to pick me up and return me to my car!!!A VERY great experience all around!!!I have had two vehicles done there and the NEW management is AWESOME!!

These guys are awesome! Had a long weekend of car trouble and they were willing to keep working to find the problem. Once they figured it out and saw it was under warranty from the dealership they even printed out everything for me to take to Ford. It s so nice to find a shop that isn t trying to rip you off. They could have easily made up problems based of what I thought was going on but everything checked out and they went above and beyond to be helpful! I would recommend them to anyone and will come back to them for any further car needs in the future.

I took my 72 mustang to this shop after being told by another mechanic that I needed to replace the alternator.These guys showed alot of integrity by telling me that it was a simple matter of a loose ground wire. After an hour of troubleshooting invested they handed me a zero balance due invoice. This is an honest and classy shop.Thanks guys!

The Midas Store on Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville (Store 3111) is the only place I would go for automobile service. Steve, Robert, Michael and the entire crew are all extremely knowledgeable and are always pleasant and respectful to their customers. I have been going there for years and always leave satisfied. They explain everything in detail that needs to be done and prices are reasonable. No better place to go!Services: Brakes, Battery, Oil change

One of the best brake service centers I've ever done buisness with. The manager Paul was super helpful and friendly. He and his team did a great job replacing the brake rotors and pads on my 2016 ford fuison. They did not upsell me on any uneeded services and explained exactly what was wrong with my breaks. Great shop experience and I will definitely be returning here for future work on all my vehicles.

I'm a long time customer of Midas however since moving from out of state this was my visit to this location. The one star rating was given due to the poor customer service. I have a lifetime warranty on certain parts which they were attempting to look up. I offered to assist by calling my old Midas shop but they said they can easily do it and will take care of it. Both gentlemen who were assisting me attempted to locate my info but could not find it. As I calmly waited for them to find my info they eventually ended up walking out of the office (about 2 min apart) and begin to talk to other employees in the garage.

I would not have even given it a one star but I had to to give them a review. Im very disappointed, I only went for an oil change and after two days my car had problems. There was a hose sticking out and I had my engine light go on. I trusted them, I went back to tell them about the problem and all they could say is We didn t do that and they said they re too busy. Chris told us to come back to check it out at a certain time, we were there and he wasn t! Even after I paid for the service!! I really think they don t know what they are doing.

Called the shop n told them the problem,as soon as the Tow Truck company dropped the vehicle off.The Owner(Paul) had 1 of the mechanic's do a through check what was wrong. It was my alternator n battery fried out. They started the work right away.They had it done 1hr n half on what they quoted.Awesome work,Guys...Keep up the awesome work
