I ve been taking my car to Jesse s shop for a while now and I ve always had fair, honest service. He really won me over this past Friday when my car started misfiring on my way to work. I called him on my way to his shop and even though they are open half day on fridays and by appointment only, I told Jesse the issue with my car and he said he could still take a look. He found the problem, and I had my car back by lunch time. I've been using them for almost 30 years, and have always found that they do quality work at a good price. I've had them work on three of my own cars and have referred several friends and neighbors to them, and we have all been impressed by their honesty and ethics. Not often you can say that about a mechanic.

Went there today after a couple of days not knowing what the issue was with a bad throttle. Jesse and team were very transparent and kept me in the loop during the process of replacing. I like the honesty and making sure the end result was done right.

I can not say enough good things about this business. Family owned and operated, which is always a plus in my book. This place treats us like family; they are honest, thorough, and always helpful! We have been taking our vehicles to A1 Vista Auto Repair for around 25 years now. I can do a lot of work on my vehicles by myself, but whenever I have a problem that is more than I feel I can handle I take my vehicles to them. They are honest, do great work and their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them!

They were able to get me in right away and diagnosed my van quickly. The front desk gal, Sonja, even drove me to and from my hotel so I didn't have to wait. I had my third experience with Jesse, the owner of A1 Vista Auto Repair today. I got there early, but Jesse looked at my car right away. I told him my air conditioner was going on and off randomly. He seemed to know right away what it might be. He was right. Within minutes, he ordered the part. It arrived in a short amount of time. After 40 minutes my car was done and ready to go. I was so impressed, again. I highly recommend his service to anyone looking for a reliable, honest, and professionalmechanic. I will continue to use him to repair my car.

Simon and his staff are simply the best. Excellent service, honest communication, more than competitive pricing (much better than the dealerships), and ALWAYS willing to go the extra mile and accommodate you for any special needs or timing. I'm not much of a "car guy", but I never have to worry if I'm getting the run around...again, excellent service and timing at competitive prices, always with customer service as priority one. You won't regret using A1 Vista Auto Repair!!

A1 Vista Auto Repair has been our auto service center for almost 20 years. They are excellent mechanics and consistently honest and reliable. They are so very helpful and caring. Their work is extraordinary. I have never had anything but extreme admiration for their work. I am so thankful that we found them and wish all could have the kind of service we have had; therefore I tell everyone I know about them.

I feel like I should add to the positive reviews for A1 Vista Auto Repair because of my extremely positive experience today. The employee who worked with me was just so relaxed and amiable that I began to enjoy being in an auto repair shop for the first time in my life. My car and my satisfaction with the service seemed important to him. Who would have thought an oil change could be a fun way to spend part of a morning?

Very good, honest, fair mechanic shop. First tried them out because they're right off Civic Center Drive from the 78 Freeway in Vista. Good shop. The girl at the front counter is very helpful and sweet. I don't write reviews but these guys deserve it.

I found A1 Vista Auto Repair via an app called Open Bay. My main issue is that after having a 60k service completed by A1 on my car which was suppose to include a brake check, that check was never completed.The 60k service was completed roughly two weeks ago. Last Friday, for the first time, I started to hear noises from my brakes so I knew at that moment that something was not right. I took my car into another shop and had them check the brakes. All four brakes were completely shot. I had the mechanic show me the problem which he was more than happy to do. The rear brakes were so bad that I need to have new rotors.Just to be clear, no one at A1 ever mentioned that I needed brakes. And who knows what else that was supposed to be checked got checked. When I left, no one went over any of their findings and the mechanic shouted across the shop that my car was in good shape.Worse for A1 is that they let me leave w/o having the opportunity to earn more of my business and more importantly, with faulty brakes.It's getting to the point these days that you can't trust anyone to do their job. Now I am having another mechanic re-check what was done to my car for yet an added expense to make sure my car is safe.BTW, this is my first Google review ever. I am not a bot or a spammer, just a disappointed and angry customer who wants to warn others.

Longest oil change I have ever received. My partner and I came by to each get an oil change this morning. Shop did not look busy. We arrived around 9:30am, went to have breakfast and expected it to be done or close to done when we got back (they said around an hour). They hadn't even finished the first car. We didn't leave until 12 noon.

Simon Valdez (owner) and his crew are the best, most skillful, most reliable and honest (Acura Certified) mechanics in the area. My family owns several Acura's and have all received great service from A1 Vista Auto Repair for years. Never give it a second thought when someone asks me, "Do you know a good mechanic?" So these guys did a decent job but charged $330 to install a $70 alternator in a little under an hour. Had I not been pressed for time I would have gone elsewhere.
