Well, I'll start off with, I've been a client of this establishment for 14 years now. Wills Automotive is the right place to go if you're in need of an emission test for the D.M.V. tag renewal. Professionally organized, pleasant atmosphere, a terrific place since day one. I highly recommend Wills Automotive. Thanks, Will, for all the years of benevolent service, that's speedy and on point. You are exceptional!!! Thank you again and again.

First time here to get a smog test. My car didn't pass. Wills is so great he returned my money and since my car is brand new, he said to drive it a little bit more like a couple of hundred miles then come back. I wanted to pay even a little but he refused. I usually don't want people to work for nothing. Everyone's time is so valuable. Anyhow, What a guy! This will be my go to place for smog checks from now on.Here's my car parking in Wills' yard.

Will's Automotive is a beacon of experience, knowledge and honesty in a glut of smog shops in California. Many shops no longer support older vehicles, but Will the owner and technician welcomed my 88 Ford Thunderbird. All summer I worried my older vehicle would not have a chance of passing the strict laws here in California passed to get the older cars off the road. Will did not give me the "In and Out Burger" treatment and spent a lot of time giving my car a "fair shake" in this strict parameter. I passed the smog test thanks to his well kept machinery and cutting edge technology. Will himself is a wonder, able to accept two vehicles in his shop at a time while maintaining a dyno for older cars like mine. Many people were in line to have their car smog tested and knew Will on a first name basis, where he always gives you a smile and makes you feel comfortable. Will is worth his weight in gold and worth the extra gas money and time it will take you to visit his clean shop on San Bernadino Road in Covina. Will's Automotive is the "go to" place for smog testing. Tell Will Danny sent you!

Willy, the owner, is knowledgeable and personable. He has a well stocked and clean coffee station with even fresh fruit and water. And the public restroom is very clean. I really enjoy getting my car smogged there!

Will is a Great Guy! I told him that I had trouble passing smog since Covid and working from home as we don't drive much anymore and he pre-checked the car 1st before testing it. Great experience. Was in and out in a half hour...with one car ahead of me. Will even gave me suggestions on future repairs to my vehicle and topped off the oil for me. Definitely recommend this place.Service: Smog certificationService: Smog certification

Great shop to get your smog done! The employee who is usually there in the morning, forgot his name, is a very energetic and ready to help kind of guy. Smog was fast and for a great price! Best shop in town for it

Andrew is a nice and friendly person, just like his father. I would recommend Wills automotive for a place to go for your car smog check. I'm from Ontario but I always go for a smog check there.

Waited over an hour took 3 cars before us even though they arrived after us. Took over 45 mins to test a car it would not pass a cap test and he kept resetting his machine at least 10 times. I finally mentioned that maybe they need a new gas cap. Either he wanted this person to pass no matter what it took. Or his machine was not working anyway we waited over an hour and left without getting tested.

Will notified me my car needed work to pass the smog inspection.He printed everything it needed and I had it repaired. It passed the Star Smog Test 7.6.23.

Wills, I used to come to you for smog checks for years. You were very nice, courteous and attentive. Last summer I went to you to find out about the check engine light that went on in my car and you stated it was the o2 sensors. You informed me to change them and it would take care of the problem. I asked you if you thought it could be the cat and said no. You said change the sensors, disconnect the battery to reset the codes and drive it about 100 miles and bring it back in, which I did. You informed me it hadn't cycled yet and was incomplete, so you told me to drive it over the weekend and bring it back on Monday. I offered to pay something, but you said I didn't need to. I returned on Monday and you said it is still incomplete and to drive it a few more days and come back in. A couple of days later the check engine light came back on, so I went back to you. You seemed a little upset to see me again, but I told you the light came back on. I said you told me to come back in those times and I offered to pay a couple of times, but you said no need. You checked it and said I needed to replace the cat. After having the cat replaced, the car was fine. I still went back to you even though you seemed a little abrupt the last time. I went to your place a month later to find out if you were a Star only station to have my other car done. I spoke with your employee in the office who stated you are a Star station. As I was leaving, You called to your employee to come to you in the bay where you had talked to him and you guys started laughing in my direction. I had never felt that uncomfortable or unwelcomed in my life. I had taken you baked goods in the past because you weren't just the smog guy, but also was like a friend. If the problem was with me returning that many times, you should have told me to drive the car a couple of weeks and then return. I was out the money for the o2 sensors and had to find a new smog place after all these years. I will not patronize your business in the future and have found many places that charge less than the $50+ for smog and cert that you charge.Regretfully, JM

Best smog testing shop experience I've had since California started this annoying requirement decades ago. That's due to the owner (Will) taking time to do it right and consider all the possibilities that affect the testing.

service was good, they gave me advice on fixing a small problem so my car would pass. I didn't pay until my car passed the second time. I will definitely come back for next smog check.
