David was pleasant on the phone and in person. The shop technicians were very nice and professional. They took in my Alfa Romeo and took care of it flawlessly. I just moved to this area and i definitely found an honest shop! I highly recommend this establishment.

Always honest. Dave and staff are all great. We take our 2 vehicles here and have always been happy with any repairs/work. The shop is small but gets the work done. We appreciate having a small business that cares about their workmanship and customers.

Came here to have them inspect a car I was considering buying and the head manager was kind enough to inspect it for free for about 15 minutes . I did not end up buying the car from the seller but this place was so amazing to me and I will never forget them . Please come here for inspections , tips or guidance on your car.

Do not trust the mechanics here. I brought my Range Rover here to get the oil change and shortly after a loud knocking sound came from the top part of my engine. I normally change my own oil but my tools were in storage and I was short on time. I after the loud knocking noise came about I had my car towed to another mechanic. This mechanic said an exhaust hose was left loose and a screw was put in a compartment where it didn t belong. Save yourself the trouble of Sornosos mechanics to try and swindle more work out of you. Shame to themselves. Do not trust this place. Go to R S auto on Hayvenhurst or Efficient Dynamic Motors in San Pedro.

I have taken 3 of my vehicles to Sornoso's Auto for my service and repair needs. They usually get you in and out and I feel I can trust them to what needs to be done on my vehicles.

I took my car in for a Brake and Headlight inspection. Kevin called me and said that my turn signals were not working. I drive this vehicle everyday for work and everything worked. I just had the vehicle inspected at the DMV 1 hour prior to taking it to this place, and everything was working just fine!! I was referred by another local business. I will never go or refer anyone to this place.Service: Auto maintenance

Dave is a master mechanic with other great employees able to fix all car issues. He keeps my fleet running great. Good work is expensive, but he is great at explaining every issue and how much it s going to cost upfront with no hidden charges. This is MY mechanic. Great pricing. Great honest people. Work is always done on time CORRECTLY the first time. It's a family business so I periodically get texts or phone calls checking on me or seeing if I need anything done. I get everything done here and wouldn't go anywhere else. I like to do work myself but if it's too difficult or I just dont have time I just drop my car off and it's fixed! The SOLE honest mechanic in covina

Dave is the owner . In general he is fair to his customers and won't cheap you on not needed repairs . Which is huge for this industry and it wont hurt if you tell him Phil recommended you. He doesn't have the latest scanners to diagnose for newer cars . But he is always honest and forthright.

Sornoso has been around a Looooong time. He has done repairs for several family members and has always been honest and fair with all of us. I just recently had him do a repair and it was just a good experience. Engine problems are not always easy to diagnose and though some things like a belt breaking are obvious things like water leaks, electrical etc. can be really dodgy to identify and it takes some exploratory step by step diagnosing to figure it out...That's where it can get ugly sometimes. Dave the owner tries REALLY hard to provide a clear picture of best case worse case before diving in. In my case it took a few test to get it figured out but it was painless and he charged me exactly what he estimated it would be....There is no perfect mechanic they are human but you can be assured Dave is a straight up guy who will not intentionally try and pad the bill after the fact like some other places do. Thanks Dave!

This place was great I came here for a brake and lights inspection on my Corvette and they helped me right away and were able to help with any little issues I had and they charged a great price too. I definitely recommend this place for their customer service

It is so hard to find a good mechanic but the gentleman running this shop is truly professional. His prices are fair and reasonable and from personal experiences I feel like he tries his best to have your vehicle done as soon as possible but never neglecting the quality of his work

I had taken my Rav4 here previously for work and the work seems fine but there was always an upsell at every visit so I got tired of the pressure and quit going. Today, I needed a simple oil change and they are close so I decided to take the Rav for a quick service. Dropped it off just after opening and went to do run some errands. About an hour later I get a call from a tech saying my car was done but there were several other routine services due and an oil leak coming from the valve cover. I asked for an estimate on replacing the valve cover gasket. He said $100 labor plus parts and that it should take about an hour and half which would be about 11 am. I figured the gasket would cost about $25 so I said do the valve cover but not the other services he mentioned since they were done earlier at another shop. I called about 11 and they said it wouldn't be done until 1 which was slightly frustrating. I called about 130 and my car was done. I went to the front desk to pay. Nobody was at the counter for several minutes. The owner came in and handed a key to another customer that was waiting and basically ignored me an walked back out. A younger man came in a few minutes later and wrote up the ticket which ended up being $206. I asked the price of the valve gasket replacement and he said $163, $100 labor and $63 for the gasket. I mentioned that the price for a gasket seemed pretty steep and he said there was a delivery charge for the part. I just looked at him, paid, and left. I googled the cost for a valve gasket and you can purchase them for around $20. And their $20 oil change they advertise ended up costing almost $40 so go figure. I won't be going back.

I like that they fix your car with what you tell them is wrong. They will recommend what else needs to be fixed, though they don't bug you about it.

Beware. Took 2 trucks same engine for the same service: oil pickup tube o ring. 1st truck 2007 Silverado was done right. 2nd truck : 2006 GMC Sierra, service was never completed. When I went to pickup my truck I addressed the issue of oil pressure being the same(LOW). He tried telling me my truck needed a lifter set and would cost an additional 650.00. I didnt fall for it and ended up taking the oil pan down myself and to my surprise o ring was in pieces and never replaced. I put on new o- ring and problem solved oil pressure shot up to normal and lifter noise gone. Shame on you Dave for lying to my face. People trust you to be honest and ethical and you rob people'shard earned cash.
