We made an appointment. Dropped the car off at 5pm to replace a dead car battery. I was told they had a technician free to do the work and to come back by 6:30pm. We did just that and they JUST started working on it, 18 minutes before close. That s ridiculous. Simple customer service advice is to never over promise anything to the customer. Lost a potential regular customer. What an embarrassment.

5 Stars for sure. Great service every time! I went to their Covina store earlier today for my annual vehicle inspection & as always, I was greeted & signed in right away. There was a clean waiting room with a TV. My vehicle passed inspection and I was out the door back in business again. Thank you Daniel, J. for your great customer service!

New in the area and had tire puncture late in the day. Pep Boys was open when other shops weren't. Service was friendly, and I purchased 4 new tires and had them all installed within the hour. I was able to get on the road early the next morning without a hitch. I'll be back here.

The associate at the front desk was helpful and friendly. Made sure that what I needed was taken care of. The technician did a good job of getting the things done for me and I appreciate all the hard work he put into my vehicle.

I use to work here as a technician back in 2018 and they paid me very poorly bearly the minimum wage for all the work I had to do in the shop worked so much. And the management was not that good. One good thing with Pepboys they do good tire repairs and work. Good training on oil changes but that s all basic maintenance no specialty repair. If you go here I recommend only basic maintenance nothing to special or anything like that. But overall bad company to work for low pay.

I was coming from San Bernardino and had work the next day and knew my tire would only get more flat by then. So I go to my local Pep Boys less than 1 hour from closing and they were still abel to help me. I appreciated them not turning me away and taking away the stress of dealing with my damaged tire the next day.

The staff here is amazing! They were all super polite and extremely helpful, I was in and out of the place in less than 20 minutes for a tire repair! Would definitely recommend their services to anyone I care about! Mike and Griffin were amazing to deal with and I am definitely coming here again if I need service on my car!

Warning this place is a scam. I paid for a fuel throttle service that took 3 hrs and I was reassured by Caesar once I was leaving that the job was completed and ready, I paid for the fuel service which included cleaning of the fuel throttle body and other stuff.. when I got home to inspect this is what I found. no service was done but I definitely was charged for it. also side note check the work that the auto tech Percy P Does (he's more worried about changing your radio station than working on your car).. I'm Calling the BBB, BAR, And Corporate Office, if I wouldn't have checked their work I would have been scammed like so many before me..Also Manager Rafeal Avila not helpful and aggressive

This is the one and only Pep Boys that I trust from now on! I had horrible experiences with them in the past at other locations, especially Covina on Amar and Azusa. I much rather do the drive and go all the way to Azusa!

I got a huge nail in my tire, and she was going down fast! It was 6:55, and the shop was closing at 7. I called them and Mike answered and said to quickly bring it in. I did, and they got everything done quickly and cleanly. They were all so kind and gracious, and the pricing was more than reasonable.

Went for an oil change but regretted it when they didn t seem to be in a hurry even though I had an appointment. In my estimation it should take no longer than 30-45 mins to complete an oil change. Yes, my tires are a little worn but they still have enough tread for now as per the usual upsell. As much as we would like to, we can t blame everything on Covid-19. Pep boys needs to show a bit more pep at this location. I made a phone call and went exploring the nearby empty shopping center while I waited so the wait wasn t a total loss.

I will give Pep Boys this - their advisors are kind, were able to see me right away, and covered transportation to and from my hotel to pick up my car.On Sunday I was driving from Bakersfield to Phoenix when my check engine light came on. I was near Glendora Auto Center was able to pull off the freeway and have a Walmart Auto Center read my codes of 300, 302, and 303. Pep Boys was one of the few autoshops open so I drove there. I was told it would be $100 for diagnostics and they would take it from there. They showed codes 302 and 303, and told me I would need 4 spark plugs, 2 engine coils, and a valve cap which they wouldn't be able to get till the following day since it was Sunday. They told me they would be in touch on Monday yet I had to call them at 12:00, 3:00, and 6:30 to get promised updates. Mind you they initially said I should be out by Monday afternoon - my 3:00pm call alerted me to an issue involving smoke tests and specialists and by 7pm - the one call they actually followed up on that day, I was told they would have the specialist continue looking at my car for this unidentified issue in the morning prompting night 2 in a hotel after sitting in a lobby all day. I was finally contacted by Pep Boys on Tuesday with updates still along the lines of "we aren't sure" and then again of "your car's computer may be slow".After picking up my car at 2:00pm I found myself with a lit up check engine light 40 minutes outside of Blythe. With it being 6pm on Halloween, there are no mechanics open and no Pep Boys in this town. An Auto Zone scanned my codes to identify the same 302 issue with recommendation to change the spark plug and engine coil. I am now waiting for my friends to tow me back to Phoenix.I've never been serviced by a Pep Boys and am only going to utilize them in Phoenix as I have a warranty from them on parts. Ford service centers only from now on if I can help it.And once again - I'll echo the kindness of the staff but the lack of communication and truly solving my issue after paying $1,100 - I expect better.**Update**The results of getting my car diagnosed in Phoenix provided that I needed to replace an additional 2 engine coils. After emailing back and forth and speaking with Pep Boys about the details of my second problem/fix, it is their professional opinion that this issue is separate and they are not liable nor were they negligent. Turns out - my vehicle had to be taken to a Ford dealership to get the computer reset after they fixed it. Because I drove for 2.5 hours before my check engine light came back on, they are saying they aren't responsible for the problem even though it' likely an issue of the old engine coils not properly working with the new engine coils. I was told Pep Boys is not allowed to make reccomendations like, "We need to absolutely replace two engine coils - you might as well replace the other two to avoid potential issues even though the computer isn't saying they are problematic now". This is a great business practice if you love repeat, disgruntled customers.Pep Boys, I recommend you update this policy for better business and to avoid unintentionally harming customers. Will not be utilizing your services again.

When traveling from Southern California to southern Nevada on a Sunday morning, I ran over a piece of wood in the middle of the freeway causing two flat tires. My AAA guy recommended Pep Boys in Covina. I am so grateful these guys were very attentive, bumped me up to the front of the line and I still got home before sundown. Thank you, Pep Boys.

Cesar the mechanic was amazing he inspected my vehicle within minutes upon arrival. He diagnosed my vehicle properly and offered an ideal price to resolve my issue. Would definitely reccomend 10/10 !!

Wow so many 4 and 5 star ratings. I only wish my experience falls under such good circumstance.I took my car for inspection on Friday and was given a quote with an oil change 3 1/2 hours later. Couldn't have the work done anymore because it was 6 pm and they are closing. So I made an appointment for 8:30 am todayTuesday. At 10:30 am I received a"complimentary inspection notice" (again?!) and was quoted "ready for pick-up at 12:30pm. When I arrived at 12:35 pm, I was told it will be another couple of hours and the person who signed me in for my 8:30 am appointment denied to my face that he didn't give me a time when he said it will be done latest 1 pm. It's now 12:47pm and the mechanic still has to work on my car. "And oh, he also needs to take a break because by law he needs to take one."Will I be having my tires changed too? Are you kidding me right now?! How long will this take? A year from now? FOCUS ON THE JOB AT HAND AND DON'T TRY TO UPSELL YOUR CUSTOMERS ON PARTS NOR WORK THEY DID NOT SIGN UP FOR!!!Such incompetence and unprofessionalism, I'd definitely bring my car elsewhere next time.
