I ve been going to Ed s since I met them at Bimmerfest 7 years ago. II commute to Ed s from Long Beach for service for my 89 Bmw 325i vert. and my 2002 X5 because it s worth it. They show me all the parts they change or fix and even have shown me issues my cars have had when it s up on the lift. Anthony is always a great guy to talk to and it s passionate about bmws like I am. I TRUST these guys and as a single woman that s means a lot since we tend to get taken advantage of by mechanics. Anthony was incredible! I needed to have some work done on my 328i and had never used Ed s before. From the moment I walked in for my appointment, Anthony was friendly and professional, and they got my car started right away. The waiting room was very comfortable and had some excellent amenities! I didn t take advantage of the coffee or other drinks available but it was an excellent touch.Anthony kept me apprised of the status from start to finish, and took the time to answer any questions that I had in language that was easy for me, a layperson, to understand. I felt confident that the work was done properly and efficiently and will be taking my BMW here for as long as I own it. I would absolutely recommend others to bring their cars here.Service: Electrical repair

UPDATED REVIEW:The DRIVETRAIN MALFUNCTION error on the BMW returned several times. The first time, I went back and had to pay about $150 for a computer update because I was told it was reading the error wrong after the repair. The second time, they changed out a sensor for free. The third time I went back, I was told it was the oil pump sprocket was leaking oil and causing errors with the timing chain, that my vehicle would not pass the smog check, & that although it holds the timing chain, they had nothing to do with it. They said I should think about trading my car in ASAP unless I wanted to dish out another $1,700 to repair the sprocket. I went home, checked my invoice... & the original invoice for the original repair says "OIL PUMP SPROCKET." At this point, I'm guessing because I'm a young woman going into a car shop alone, they are taking advantage and do not want to go back on their warranty and fix the problem because it is a big job. During the repair, they told me that in order to get the warranty, I had to fix other problems they found on the way & I paid for that. I paid about $5k for the work. It is a good chunk of money for them not to honor their warranty. They supposedly did not change the sprocket, so why is it on my receipt? And if it holds the entire timing chain, why did they not mention it & tell me that needed to be replaced too? At this point, I'm considering reporting them to State of California Bureau of Automotive Repair.ORIGINAL REVIEW:It is always scary trying to find a shop you can trust with your car I had issues with my BMW for about 6 months & was using a mechanic that was not able to solve the problem time & time again. Finally decided to go to Ed s and was very happy with the service they provided. They are transparent, walked me through everything & recommended services that needed to be done. I trusted them, went ahead & did the repairs & other services. Since picking my car up, its been driving smooth, no engine errors, & I can tell it is back to how its supposed to be driving.I had to take the time to review this place because I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to service their BMW & would come back myself if needed.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I've been taking my 2007 335i to Ed's for over ten years. At over 160K+ miles, my car still runs great. All thanks to the crew at Ed's. Anthony is a top notch Service Advisor. He's extremely knowledgeable an incredibly helpful. No trial and error with these guys. They pinpoint the problem and give you a spot on diagnostic. I ve had my BMW serviced at Ed s Automotive on several occasions. Each time, I was pleased with the service and the level of professionalism exhibited by the staff. Anthony, (service manager), was extremely knowledgeable and gave me recommendations for future service to my vehicle. I called Ed's this morning and explained to Anthony that my 530i had started idling very rough after I was at a stop yesterday evening, but when driving the problem seem to go away and started up again when I would come to a stop. He knew what it was right away and asked if I can bring it in to be diagnosed completely. The knowledge, explanation and service was great! The price was excellent. I would definitely recommend their service to everyone.

I came into this BMW auto shop by default. The first one was closed. I knew exactly what I needed to get fixed & how much the cost were at the Dealership. Anthony quoted me some affordable prices. 2 year warranty too! They went on to fix my car & got it back the same day. Wow I was impressed to get it back so fast. At the end of the day I saved $650. I ll be returning soon to get all my service requirements done here. If you re looking for quality service then bring your Bimmer here.

Valve Cover was leaking oil due to age, Ed s diagnosed the smell and smoke from my engine bay as soon as I pulled into the shop and scheduled my repair for the next business day. ED s BMW has always provided a more personalized approach with the ability to level out pricing so it is more affordable as well. The shop has a more intimate setting and allows Manager Anthony to greet all customers in a courteous and focused manner. In turn, the team performs services that always exceeds my expectations. Needed to address Check Engine sensor which came on after having tires replaced by the dealer... being suspicious, I went to Ed s BMW & diagnostic test indicated it was a faulty DME pump. As Ed s crew went in to check/replace this part, they determined that no repairs were needed as pump had mysteriously been disconnected HONEST ED S. BMW. They could have easily scammed me for unnecessary repairs, but didn t. Anthony is great too, knowledgeable & accommodating. You guys rock!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Our 328i was 6 years old when Monrovia BMW recommended a $1,000 motor mount replacement. I have been driving past Ed s for years, so I decided to shop prices. The same job was estimated to be $400 here. Even more, Ed s ran a computer scan of my car and determined that the excessive vibration we had been experiencing was from a faulty coil/plug and the motor mount was in pretty good shape. Ed s provided much better service than the dealer at a much better price. I m going back tomorrow for an oil change that s 20% cheaper than the dealer.

This place is amazing Ed is a God fearing Christian man with values that far succeed what you ask for for a bmw service certified, not only are the technicians all top of the line assessing each problem with the most care and poise, but they also understand that this is your primary source of transportation and thus should be treated like so. I had a timing issue with my exhaust along with cam shaft replacing that was needed in my E90 so it was bad lol. I would trust these people with my life let alone my car. If you know , you know good things and people like this don t come by often so when they do cherish it. 10 stars

I personally used their service few weeks ago, I have to say they deserve 5-star comment. My BMW X5 was taken good care by technician and Anthony even help me fix the dirt-cased noise problem. Patience and meticulous service.

Dropped my car off for a Oil change, Brake fluid flush and a walnut blasting. Walnut blasting made a huge difference on the car and it no longer feels sluggish. These guys are awesome. I needed to replace 3 fuel injectors and front breaks so I called them up. They told me it wasn't going to be cheap (which I already knew) and they quoted me ~20-30% lower than the dealership which was great, but then my service adviser suggested I go to the dealership and ask for "good will" for the fuel injectors which ended up saving me more money. So I went back and had them work on the breaks, all in all, they saved me ~$500 to $1,000. I would recommend them to anybody because I don't know any other shop that would tell me to do service somewhere else just to save me money.

After couple of shops not being able to to find out what the issue is, and the last one trying to charge me $1800 I desperately took my here to Ed's due to a rattling noise and vanos issues, . Right out of the bat Anthony new what the problem was, they did a diagnostic test and found out my car had a recall on the vanos bolts, about a $1000 repair. They referred me to the dealership and they fixed it for free and saved me a lot of money. I'm definitely bringing my car back for any service.

Drove all the way from Florida to visit family, but had an issue with my vehicle while in the area. The staff and mechanics did an excellent job diagnosing the problems and fixed it right away. The prices were fair and the service was excellent. This will definitely be my go-to spot if I ever need anyone to look at my car.

Amazing place. I'm shocked with their extraordinary service ! such a great and honest people. I visited this place today for first time. I needed to install this Start Engine Button to my 528i and wasn't sure if they were going to be willing to help me. The Manager and his technician were wonderful ! They had to remove the whole front wood trim, they spent easily 30 mins working on it and when the work was done they said "Don't worry that's nothing" I was like "WHAT???" who says that now days??? nobody ! most of the mechanics and dealers want to rip you up ! THAT'S WHY FROM NOW ON I WILL BE TAKING MY CAR TO ED's FOR SERVICE. THEY JUST GOT ME AS A LIFE TIME CUSTOMER ! WONDERFUL PEOPLE !

Brought in my car to fix a rattling noise from the exhaust and they basically solved the problem for no charge! It was a simple fix, but it seems like they genuinely want to help out their customers. I'm super thankful to live close by this shop and I will definitely be doing all my service here!
