Came in for a slipping transmission diagnostic/rebuild on a Sienna 2011 for my mother. She had rebuilt this once after we had a bad experience at another shop that left us with a pretty bad transmission, so I took her here based on some of my research. I saw there was a change in ownership and Andy was the new owner. Andy was helpful from the start on the phone, got us a accurate diagnostic and quote within a few days. As someone who comes from a mechanical background in a different field, I also can appreciate that Andy took his time and made every effort to keep us informed and educated through the whole process. It didn't take long, Andy quoted a date and it was done on that date. During the 2 week break in period, we did have a small adjustment needed to be made under the warranty and Andy took care of that quickly and educated/informed us on what went wrong. Work orders and all invoices were accurate with info on what work was done, and any codes the car gave. Happy to say we'll be adding this to our conservative list of trusted shops for future needs!

I was hesitant about coming to get my truck diagnosed thinking it was my transmission. But Andy the manager diagnosed it and found out it was something other than the transmission. I already gave him authorization to drop transmission filter and service it and look for problem. He found it before the service began and recommended not to do it. He exceeded my expectations of honest managers. There was no charge his services and was happy to help. When I do need transmission work done I will definitely will be coming back to covina AAMCO TRANSMISSIONS. thanks Andy. Andy is by far the best manager there could be . He will tell you the truth on what your car needs. Honesty is the best policy when it comes to a business and I will definitely be coming back when my car needs repair

Ok I ve been a loyal customer of this branch for over 10 years. I ve seen people come and go. I keep coming back, good or bad. I even bought them a coffee maker. You ll see it in the lobby. They may mess up, but like with everyone (humans) you must give them a chance. They have always been fair and honest with me. And have fixed there mistakes. No one is perfect not even me. But give them a chance and bring your vehicle in. Mine is a Hummer, only shop working on it since 2007. M E Cooley Inspections 2019 Hey update, still with AAMCO. My engine blew up again, its all good. They still have my business, and its under new management. They fixed it, and I am back on the road. I am still a loyal customer. It s still running good but I don t use it as much anymore now just on the weekends and maybe going out. Still going to Amco and Andy is the guy who s there now he is very attentive and takes care of my engine, oil changes little things now the mechanics seems to still be there. I took my lexus es350 to get a diagnostic for an issue I've been having for 6 years that nobody could figure out and that I've spent hundreds of dollars on. Andy figured it out. He was professional and very thorough. I will definitely take my vehicle back for any issue and basic needs.

Andy, the store manager was awesome! I walked in with an emergency that was created from another Aamco. An aamco that is in my home town about 50 miles away. When I arrived in a desperate situation he was handling another customer, That s when I realized Andy was going to be good because of his excellent way he was handling the customer in front of me when I explained my situation and that I needed help, he immediately handled my situation and got me back on the road as fast as possible! This was with one short tech. Andy s customer is above and beyond what I expected and what makes the difference between just another auto shop. Thank you

After 2 dealerships and 2 auto shops finally got my Range rover fixed seemed like they didn't know what they were getting into like I would expect them to since they are dealerships but My guy ANDY at Aamco was the most professional and had the best service He went above and beyond to make sure my questions were answered and my car was fixed. My shifter would not engage the transmission. Turns out the retainer for the shifter cable broke off, but the cable itself was fine. The manager, Andy, gave me a couple options; either get a new shifter cable and wait a few weeks for the order to come in, or he could just replace the retainer with a metal one and reattach the cable in one day, with no additional cost for parts. I went with the latter, which I really appreciate because I feel most other places would not have even given me the choice; I'd be stuck a week or two without my car and it would've costed me an additional $275 for the new cable (which would've been overkill for the problem).Service: Transmission

Andy the store manager was friendly as soon as i walked into the lobby of Aamco and patiently explained diagnostic procedures for transmission issues. Even though he had other customers in the lobby, phone ringing, Andy made me feel I was the most important customer which is rare to find. :) Aamco did a thorough test drive of my transmission and complete engine inspection. After realizing I needed transmission service I also was told my oil leak was due to oil gaskets in need of replacement. I left my car with Aamco and repairs were completed in a few days with Andy keeping me updated throughout. I was extremely happy how thorough and caring Andy and mechanic Javier was in making sure I had 5 star service. Andy explained empathetically that having quality work for the customer was top priority. I truly appreciate that and felt their pricing was also fair and transparent. Aamco owner Cloey (sorry if mispelled) also stated she honored my original quote from Aamco even if the labor was slightly extended. I am more than satisfied with the service I received from AAMCO. The manager Eric assisted me today and was very friendly, helpful and professional. I very appreciate how honest and pleasant Eric and his crew are. They were very communicative with me and answered all of my questions. They work very quickly and efficiently and called me as soon as it was ready to pick up. I ve never had such an easy and painless experience at a car shop before. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this shop. Eric and his crew were simply the best!

I went to this place the other day Andy was so helpful and kind. He helped me out wit my car..i had my engine cover loose i though was broken but Andy was nice he just told me i just need a new screws..he was honest with me if i would go another place maybe i would charge for nothing..i totally recommend this place..i feels good to find places like this.

Highly recommended! Brought my 2010 Prius with ~100k miles due to sluggish performance. Was well greeted by their on-site manager Eric who took the time to listen to my concerns and provided a detailed diagnosis. After confirmed service, they worked quickly and I was able to overhear staff order parts needed for the repairs. Was offered local shuttle service when I left my car in the morning and received a call later that afternoon informing my car was ready for pick-up. I was very pleased with the results as my car is now running much better and noticeably stronger in areas of my local commute. Prices were reasonable and affordable and was a testament to the quality of work.

Eric the manager was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My car got in on time and done on time. The quote I got was the price I paid, they didn't try to up sell me on things I didn't need. The shop was very clean and organized, overall I was satisfied with my service. Recommend!!!

I did a walk in for oil change/brake check and it was delivered very fast. This is a shocker because I usually wait all a day for a oil change at other places. I didn t expect it to be completed so fast as I saw a couple people in the waiting room! Eric who helped explained my brakes issue was very clear and professional. My car is running much more smoothly after the oil and brake change here. Going to be a repeat customer for their quick car delivery and professionalism!!!! Totally recommend AAMCO!

This Owner of AAMCO Quin Is a total ROB! Beware! Charged me over 2K for my car to get fixed and didn't even do the job right. It seems like he only fixed what I thought was wrong instead of fixing the actual issue. I had to take my car to the Mercedes service center and they had to fix his job that he didn't do. He messed up my car more than what it already was before I took it in. I had two separate jobs done on my car, every time I would come in to pick up my car and pay it, he'd come back at me and say my car needed something else, after that I just told him I'm done and I'm not happy with his work! He made my car worse than what It already was! Beware do not bother going there he is a straight Rob/Scammer! .Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Very professional and honest. Jim told me an honest timetable for repairs to an intake manifold gasket, then proceeded to finish repairs ahead of schedule. They worked seamlessly with my warranty company when all the local Jeep dealerships were so swamped I couldn't get an appointment within 20 days!This is my second visit and both times I have been very satisfied.

This is the second family car I have taken to them. They did a Wonderful job rebuilding the transmission on our 2014 Chevy Traverse, and they just serviced the transmission and changed the surpentine belt on our 2013 Chevy Captiva. I completely trust and appreciate the great work from Quinn and his team.

They couldn't get the parts. I found someone else who had no problem getting them. Who would redo my transmission for $1,800.00 the last two times I had it done it was over $3,000.00 I went to E Monte Transmission.John was a real nice guy.

As long as you don't send your wife and have an inkling of basic auto repair these guys do phenomenal work. I built a custom engine with fuel management, a one of a kind build CA legal. I had to go back about 4 times for them to get it right but considering it was worth every penny. Long story short, if you're stock they'll get you handled first time, if you're Jedi it's going to take some training but they will live up to their word and handle it.

I'm not one to go out of my way to write up complaints unless needed, but this calls for it.1) CostFrom day 1, the manager, Jim, told us they are 30% cheaper than the dealership price with a free evaluation. We were very pleased with the things he had to say on the phone, so we decided to go ahead and have them work on my car. After they diagnosed it, found out it was an $800 charge, whereas Ford's price was $125. The price we got from Ford was about $4,000 for a new transmission including labor and all. Jim told us it would be between $1500-$2500. Later in the week, he changed his answer to $3800 for the final price. I couldn't take it to Ford where I would've rather taken it back to because I was apparently down $800 regardless, so we stayed with not much of a choice.2) Rental/chargeThe first thing he told us was the rentals were free. Another time, told us only the $25 rental was free (a Fiat). We had the "upgraded" car that was $40 so he said he'd take off $25 off each day. Great! When I was picking up my car, I found out he had tacked on all the charges on top of the original price he gave us. The whole cost of this entire thing was about $4500. The "discounted" price should have been off the $3800 total that he gave us. He failed to provide us with those details. Not only was that inching toward one grand more than his original price, his quote of "30% cheaper than the dealership price" was invalid.3) Timeframe/durationDay one, he told us it would be 3-5 days until I have my car back. We had it towed over there on Tuesday and told us they would call us Friday and again, changed his answer to 5-7 days. That following Monday, he calls and tells us that they barely took it apart and gave us the cost. He then told us it should be ready Wednesday. Wednesday comes and they test drove it and it jolted when changing gears so they had to work on it and would be ready Thursday. Thursday comes, nothing. Finally got my car back today (Saturday) with no communication in between.Overall, we will not be doing business with them again. We don't work with shady liars and will be contacting the headquarters about all of this. The lack of communication is very unprofessional. The fact that he tacked on money we weren't aware of is very unprofessional. We were taken advantage of and it ruined the entire company for us. I hope you're proud, Jim.

Aamco is great! Ask for Eric, he will take good care of you. He has always given excellent advice on car care. Always professional. This is always where I take my car for service. I have never had a bad experience with him.
