We just recently move here in Ventura. My husband and I are looking for auto repair services in Ventura area. I called a couple auto services and I was getting frustrated. One of them, that I called and spoke with on the phone. They were already charging me upfront for $180 per hour just to do some diagnostic or just to look what s wrong with my car. SERIOUSLY??!!I I can tell that person on the phone is trying to rip me off knowing that I m female.My little Kia makes an on and off squeaking noise and it bothers me when I m driving in the side streets. Just makes me paranoid if I ll have a mechanical problem since I drive a lot.Tune ups unlimited were recommended by our best man in our wedding.Since my husband and I are not mechanically inclined I called Tune Ups unlimited. I called and spoke to Reggie on the phone and briefly explained about my car problem.He was nice and told me to take it to the shop and look for Miguel.I took my car at their repair shop. Miguel was the one look at my car and I was very impressed how professional and honest he is. Didn t cause me a dime just to look and see what s wrong with my car.I hardly write reviews on google not unless I feel that the company I used is well trusted kind and professional.Now we found a place to go in case we need car repair service. The people in the shop are friendly and I can tell they are not in the business to rip you off. I highly recommend Tune Ups unlimited.Thank you for giving me a peace of mind.

Took my 2013 Kia in for a 100k mile tuneup. Told Reggie I had a cross country trip planned and I needed him to tune it up as he would for a family member or loved one traveling over 1000 miles. Car needed new front breaks, serpentine belt replacement, gear oil and some other stuff and he came within 10% of what I had budgeted for this service. He was also very informative and took the time to make sure I knew what was done with the car and what didn't need to be addressed immediately. I was surprised that I could actually feel better performance out of my little 4 cylinder. Everything seems way more "tight" and responsive. Highly recommend.Services: Transmission, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Brakes

I have been taking my ASTRO Van to Reggie for years. I depend on him to be honest and provide good all around service. He has yet to let me down. He reviews what needs to be done , explaining the parts and labor and provides a reasonable estimate. Old school shop environment, clean as a whistle. I would recommend the shop and have done so in the past .

Do not use this shop. The Shop owner Reggie was supposed to be a friend of my father and agreed to fix problems with my Acura. Every time we went to the shop for repairs they basically recommended we buy new parts to try and solve the problem. when we went ahead and bought those part, related issues would suddenly spring up as soon as I left the shop. When I inspected the car myself I founds broken or missing fasteners, loose wires, or tools left in the car. Each time I brought up issues with Reggie he would agree to diagnose the issues, but when I'd pick up the car after he confirm correcting those issues, the problems would continue. I have now tried to take my car to other shops and even the dealership but no one will touch the thing now that there are multiple issues stemming from shoddy mechanical work done by this shop. Unless its an oil change or tire rotation save your time and money and look elsewhere. This guy passes the work onto sub "mechanics" that do poor work for high prices.

Moved to Ventura in May 2014 and took it TUU to do a tuneup and maintaince after traveling to California from Kentucky. The owner, Reggie, was down to earth and a straight-shooter. Told me, back in May, that my 2006 Toyota Matrix didn't need a tune up, only needed an oil change and tires rotated. Said the brake pads were good for another six months or so. What he charged was more than fair, and we had no problems with the car at all. Took it back to TUU a couple of days ago for brake checkup. Reggie said time for front pads, rotors were fine, back pads still had some life so they could wait. The price he gave me was better than anywhere else in Ventura. I took the time to write this review, which is rare for me, because I wanted others who live in or near Ventura to know about this auto center.

I've used Tune Ups Unlimited several times in the past 9 years and have ALWAYS been satisfied with the estimate, the work done and the time it took to complete the work. Never any surprises, just a job well done.

Javier is very honest and willing to go above and beyond to help his customers. I will continue to visit this shop whenever I'm having car issues
