I came 3 hours away to pickup a car. The car still needed a smog. Smog 805 were super fast than the smog place in my hometown!!!! I was able to go back to triple A to finish my paperwork. Staff were very polite. 10/5

The ownership changed a year or 2 ago, and it shows. He is so honest I worry he is undercharging me! Smog was lower than where I usually go, and every other ugh oh I have, he has taken care of me fast. My husband is always skeptical when I find a good deal, and even he has been really pleased! HIGHLY recommend!

Jose did an amazing job on my truck. Fixed my A/C, changed my breaks and tuned up my truck. Jose is a very professional and knowledgeable mechanic. I strongly recommend this shop to all my friends and family.

Went to get my truck smogged with smog805 and instead of charging me for the smog test, the gentleman that runs the shop scanned my truck and told me to drive some more to clear the existing monitors. I would definitely recommend him.

I ve been coming here for years and the place just keeps getting better and better. The service is always super quick. I have newer cars so I m always in and out in about ten minutes. I went recently and they are taking COVID seriously and I felt safe going (I can t say that about a lot of businesses today). They didn t even get in my car, they just had me drive up to the bay so they didn t need to get in it. The technician also wore a mask the whole time and I saw him using fresh gloves. I can t recommend this place enough.They don t require appointments, but I was told they do offer them. They re also super close to DMV (you can walk through the parking lot), which was handy when I brought a truck in here for a title transfer. And the technicians here are always very nice and super helpful. Seriously, this place is great.

One of the workers likes to get confrontational in customer s vehicles. In regards to your question and statement this an edited response to your false excuse. You are a liar. Ask the guy who was driving the blue VW beetle down market with the JB sticker on it. Hopefully that customer sees this.

They were great. Staff was very nice and helpful. I had my RV smogged. They were reticent at first but only because it was raining (I don't blame them). Luckily, it stopped raining by the time I got my rig pulled around in front of the building and I was in and out in around 30 minutes.

I've brought my cars here multiple times and they're always super quick, even if there's a line. They're cheaper than the other shops in the area and frankly just much better. Faster, less hassle, and just easier. Would highly recommend this place to family and friends simply because of the smog tech McClain's fast and great customer service!

Attentive service. Waiting room had cell phone cables and WiFi. Water cooler .all making the wait comfortable. Have an old car and technician was quick and I was out within 30 minutes. Recommended.

I found my "go to" smog shop unexpectedly closed (owner had an emergency). I decided to research a little and I found Smog 805. Arriving, I remembered the shop over 15 years ago, reminiscing about it with the new owner.Personable service, after all a smog check is a service I can not purchase online or from a vending machine. Most competitive price. I may consider routine maintenance in the future, as I get to know the business.Services: Smog certification, Emissions testing

I've taken 6 or so vehicles here over the past several years and have always had a speedy, courteous experience. I would definitely recommend them. I used to go to another place near them. I made an appointment and they were ready for me when I arrived. The test didn't take too long. The staff is very careful about health safety and have arranged everything for minimal contact. McClain performed all the smogs on my cars here. He is a professional, quick, and reliable technician. The waiting area is a pleasant place to be with Pandora playing, clean chairs and tables, and chargers for your phone. The clean and professional work area is visible from the waiting area. You can get $5 off with a coupon, and overall I would recommend this smog experience to anyone.

Not terribly bad place, clean inside and good location but it is over priced for a smog, the guy over charged me by 5 dollars according to their website. Not that that's a ton of money but when you already have above average pricing as a business you should have some level of integrity. Charged the lady before me 10 dollars less yet both of our vehicles fell into the same category according to 805 smogs website. I wouldn't suggest this shop based off of these things.

When you smog with the BEST, forget the REST!!When I normally think of smog shops, I think of very dirty tiny places to go and wait on my feet while some strange person sticks different probes in my car. On the polar side of the smog universe is AUTO MASTERS SMOG now known as SMOG 805. Yes there is a choice.I Choose to work with friendly, professional, very welcoming & clean professionals. I appreciate this smog location which has a clean comfortable waiting room with Pandora playing the hits & a clean restroom to use if I need it.I Choose to smog with them since they have over 14 years experience to handle ANY vehicle. Large or small, they smog them all. And yes, I gladly drive over 40 min from Simi to Ventura to have this experience. Great reason for me to also visit the Ventura harbor area.I especially enjoy working with Matt. He s very professional and explains things very well. He teaches you how to improve the chances of passing the test. It s optional to take your renewal form with you to the test. He knows how to log in the results even w/o it.They are very efficient too. Depending on the year of your car, the time is a lil different to complete test:2000 or newer cars: 5-10 min1996 to 1999: 10-15min1995 or earlier: 20 to 30minRVs: 30 minEven if your car fails the test, you can go back within 30 days for a FREE RE-TEST. You ll only need to pay a small nominal amount for the certificate.

Stay away!! Trouble that no one needs. Went to another shop and had No problems. My truck was not tampered with as he said. His facts are wrong. I had no problems with smog in the last two years it was just this guy that is the problem

Service has gone downhill. Used to recommend this place, but never again. Employee literally laughed in my wife's face when she tried to get her car checked. Don't waste your time.

Must have changed owners. Prices doubled and now they require an appointment for RV's. Want better service and prices? Go to Smogies right down the street.

Had a very strange experience here involving a work vehicle getting smogged. Felt shady, lost confidence in this place. Won't take personal vehicle back there.
