Excellent customer service by mark every time I visit Midas. I trust them with my rental fleet of vehicles for all my tire and maintenance services. They have also assisted me in diagnosing several major issues with some of my cars, they caught a misdiagnose from dealer and helped save me money while fixing the real issue with personal car, best service in town.

We had a brake issue during our road trip and the shop was able to get us in quickly. They were transparent about the repairs and got us back on the road within an hour. The cost was fair. Thanks for such great service! We highly recommend this shop!

2/13/2024. Went in for a simple oil change. Had coupon for $69 from thier own websight.Was told it would be higher than stated. $89 plus usual tax and fees. Bait and switch? Was told because of oil filter more (?) Have owned this same Mazda for 10 years. So obviously have had at least 10 oil changes. Have never ever been charged or told this very small particular oil filter was more than other cars. Especially not being $20 more. It true show me proof it coast you that much more.And the overused loop hole disclaimer "most cars" in the fine print doesnt let you off the hook. You probably say to every custome that they all have that other "some car".I just do not understand this 'business modle'. Instead of making even more profit, they lost the whole 69 bucks.*** Please look at the response below Are they in total denial? Or was it written by Ai auto reply? 5 Stars??? That looks more like 1 Midas. I guess a computer cannot see.

I feel guilty writing poor reviews but I think it s a duty to my community to inform you that this company will charge you for jobs they did not complete/perform. I am very well versed in the mechanics of cars given I build them for racing, I used Midas for a quick oil change (which they completed) and an alignment (they didn t touch a bolt) due to me being in a rush to travel back to university for school year. My car was never given an alignment and has since then been corrected by me with a string and two by fours. I d recommend choosing shops that are not corporate and have grown due to communal backing rather than because they are a chain. Williams automotive is the only shop id go to before this incident and i would have used their services if it weren t such a short notice job.

Spoke to a short guy with a bad attitude, wanted to charge me $75 for just looking at my car to install both my mufflers back on a super simple install. The pipes were straight fit!!!! He said sorry I don t go on the ground what kind of men we have in this generation and do a simple check, went to Juan s muffler in Oxnard for a FREE quote and only cost me $100!!! Don t waste your time here! Weak boys work here.

This shop seems to be very deceitful and according to other reviews I'm not wrong. Don't come here. They don't care about you. Just money and they will rip you off. Car got stranded about 2 hrs from home. Guy says okay $180 to run some tests. We didn't have many options so sure go for it. Calls back an hour later. Can't figure out what is wrong (even though we told him the car wouldn't accelerate) says it's going to be $600 more to run more tests. After doing so says we need a whole new transmission and it's going to cost $4-6k. Offers us to apply for their financing options. We have good credit. Apt is no joke 170%. Insane. So we say we need to figure out what we want to do . He says okay but you have to come pay for the tests and btw if you don't remove your car before noon it's gonna be $75 storage fee for today, all the days since you dropped your car off (even though they were closed on Sunday and had to do the 2nd test on Monday) and any day going forward. We asked for an itemized receipt of the tests run for the $600. He gives us the paper and it has work listed on it that he never asked if he could do and we never approved. We will be disputing the charge. Not friendly or understanding at all that it was hard to get there when we live 2 hrs away.

Brought my car in for my routine service oil change, tire pressure check, tire rotation. Marco hooked it up not only is he polite and professional he goes above and beyond. He helped me get approved for Midas credit so I could keep my car running. These guys are always so quick and efficient. I wouldn t take my car anywhere else! Manager lied and said they couldn t do a test on my car to make sure I needed a wheel alignment because the machine they use does the test and the alignment at the same time . I thought that was weird, but decided to let them do it anyway. Well they did not do it correctly, as my car has been pulling extremely to the right ever since I got it done. I requested to come back in and have it fixed or to get a refund. Manager got angry very quickly and yelled at me on the phone. He said I could come back to get it tested (even tho he said that wasn t possible when I first came in) but that they weren t going to do anything about it. When I asked him why he originally told me that couldn t be done, he kept cutting me off and saying that he doesn t care to go back and acknowledge what he said in the past (what??) He knew he lied and probably knows he did a bad job too. One of the worst customer experiences I ve had. Extremely disrespectful and now I have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. I would not recommend coming here.

No need for details. Couldn't get an appt. at my usual spot at Firestone so I tried here. Forgot about my bad experience 4 yrs ago. I remembered real fast when trying to just register for the oil change. Left immediately to go wait to get squeezed in at Firestone, no matter how long it takes.

I took my automobile to several businesses to get a stripped bolt fixed, but no one could help. They were able to let me in as soon as I went inside the store thanks to the guys Midas. The employees are extremely knowledgeable, and they quickly removed the bolt. They should be your first choice for any vehicle repair needs as they offer the finest prices in the industry.

I was told I'd have a diagnostic check for 180$ followed by a deeper diagnostic for 690$After recieving my itemized receipt, I see a second diagnostic was not actually completed. Instead, products were allegedly installed that I never asked or authorized. (Honestly- I don't even believe that was done but that's what the receipt says)The employees then threated me to pay in full and pick up my vehicle or 75$ per day would be charged.

Mark and the team did a great job helping me out. I was on a road trip and heard something on the bottom of my car scraping the road when it dipped. We went to Midas and they were able to immediately take a look at my car and get it fixed. 20 min later I was back on the road thanks to them!

When we were having car trouble 2000 miles from home, the folks at the Ventura Midas were amazing and very helpful. After many other places turned us away, saying that we had to wait several days to be seen, the owner of the Ventura Midas was empathetic toward our situation and he and his staff were eager to help us get back safely on the road. Tire was leaking air. It had been recently repaired at another Midas. Stopped at Ventura so we could get it fixed and continue on family trip. Manager said he d look at it. When he finally did, he was rude, disrespectful and essentially told us we must be mistaken because he could not find an issue with the tire. I asked specifically about the tire valve. He indicated it was fine. We left and limped along having to stop and fill up our tire several times until we found America s Best Tires. They diagnosed the valve as leaking, repaired it and allowed us to get back on the road. Midas causing us delay made us miss our outdoor sand adventure ($400+). I thought they were supposed to have good customer service and be good at their jobs. I recommend Americas Best if you have any needs. Their customer service makes you feel cared about at least.

Great prices and very professional! I was welcomed by Mark as soon as I stepped in their showroom. Their mechanic was very detailed when it came to servicing my vehicle, he went above and beyond inspecting my suspension and found a wheel baring was coming lose from work that was done from a previous shop. Their prices were very reasonable and didn t break the bank a plus during the Holidays. I ll definitely be going back and having them service my vehicles.Service: Steering & suspension repair

If I can give this place a 10 star rating trust me I would, I have been taking my car here for the past year and I cannot express how thankful I am to have such a friendly reliable and courteous go to auto shop. My boyfriend had referred me to this place and I am so glad that he did, I have a BMW car, and I get better service better quality and even have a better relationship with Midas than I do at my own BMW dealer service. They are very honest they have a great team and they know how to work together. Every time I take my car there I am never worried that something can go wrong because they always get it right. And I also appreciate that even if you go for a specific service for example in oil change the inspect your car to make sure that everything else is fine which a lot of places only do the basic inspection. Midas provided a great and welcoming experience when I walked in. The front desk clerk, Marco was able to give me a price that was affordable and fair. I ve been active duty for 5 years, traveling all over and it is rare to be met with a smiling face. Marco was able to take one thing off of my busy schedule without worry to which I am grateful. His performance was more than satisfactory and I left knowing my vehicle was taken care of by a business I can trust. I needed brakes and an oil change for our daughter, the crew that works here are professional and efficient, they were open and honest and gave us options along the way, they showed me in person what needed to be done and the pricing was fair, I had called around quite a bit. All the work was complete in only 1 hour during a very busy time of the year. I left happy and feeling very comforted that our daughter could safely drive back to college. This facility has provided me with countless great experiences. They are always in a cheerful mood and extremely helpful. It was a review on the price not the employees because they don t make the price. I spent $351 and nothing was done but refrigerant. Sorry I m not use to paying that much with the problem not being resolved. I m going back Friday because they already diagnosed the problem so I shouldn t pay that again. Will see how that goes.

These guys were great! I was visiting the Ventura area from San Diego for a few days, and the day after my drive up there is when I noticed my car starting to sound a bit strange. Soon thereafter the situation become even more disconcerting when my Check Engine light came on. So I take my car in after my mom suggested that I go to this Midas, as they ve done a lot of solid, honest work on her vehicle, and they re now her go-to mechanics for any automotive issues that arise for her.And my experience was great! I went in without an appointment a little bit after noon on a Tuesday and despite there being other customer s cars having work done, I was able to be seen by Marco at their desk right away to discuss my situation, and they were able to complete the services I needed (and then some) before 3:00! They fixed up some of my brakes, replaced the rear shocks, got my maintenance light to turn off, and even balanced and rotated my tires for no extra charge. I had also told Marco that I noticed two specific tires had slow leaks in them for some unbeknownst reason (I had been needing to inflate them a couple times a week). He discovered that they were leaking air because they had nails lodged in them So he removed the nails, patched up the holes, and had my tires repaired making them good to go! My tires haven t had any further air leaks, and since leaving their shop my car has been running great and I feel safer and am driving around with more peace of mind than I ve had in a while. Thank you guys for doing such thorough, expedient, and awesome work with my vehicle, I m sure I ll see you again!TL/DR:~ Check Engine light came on and car started acting funny while I was out of town~ Got seen very quickly without an appointment, my problems were diagnosed, and I was honestly informed as to what procedures NEEDED to be done and which ones I could hold off on~ Made the necessary repairs in under 3 hours, plus patched holes in my tires and rotated them for no extra charge~ Marco was awesome~ Can recommend!!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Wheel alignment, Brakes

I needed my catalytic converters replaced on a 2001 Ford F150. I figured Midas, exhaust work is ok. I was told the brake pads and brake discs needed replacement too. With over 150,000 miles on it I said ok. Once done I got the pickup back and drove it home. It stopped well, but the motor did not run well at all. I brought it back and was told the spark plug coils were crackled on the #3 and #7 cylinders. The fuel pressure regulator was bad too. I had them replaced and picked up the truck. It still ran poorly. When I called them I was told the fuel filter needed replacement. I should also replace the pump they said. That was done. It still ran poorly. I was told the other spark plug coils were marginal, they charged no labor, only for the coils. I got it back and it ran poorly. It was never test driven or this would be noticed. I finally brought it to another garage here in Ventura, Tune-Ups Plus. The Fuel pressure regulator, that was used to replaced the old one, was no good, the pressure was to high. One of the spark plug coils, that was new, was no good. The fuel pressure regulator and coil he used now were from Ford. They both cost less than half of what Midas charged for the parts they used. The truck ran better than before. Next was the truck would not run well on the freeway, it would stumble when you step on the gas to pass a car. The fuel pump was no good. Who cares about a warranty when the parts are second rate and no good? I would never let anyone go there.Services: Exhaust, Electrical, Brakes

We made an appointment and they called us a half hour early and had a bay ready to go for us. Tires installed and balanced well and correctly. All maintenance performed, and they even got the Van washed for us at our request for a small fee! The guys were nice

The staff was really great at getting me an appointment the day I called and was super polite. I went to get a headlight fixed that had burnt out and when he had informed me that an electrical problem caused the light to burn out, he fixed it without an extra charge. Wow! And I mean wow! The gentleman at this shop are the name of the game in auto repair. Professional, friendly, honest and fast. I came in with major warning lights on my car. They gave me an honest estimate and got me going on the road. They even went over and above for us. I highly recommend this Midas. Extremely professional staff ready and waiting to accommodate you. Very well informed and knowledgeable. Also very fast and high quality performamce. I wouldn't trust anyone else in the area.
