Have used Fisher/Martin for years and have never been unhappy with their service, or car advice. Have referred them to my friends always knowing they will be well taken care of by Gary. Excellent and good service and Gary can always explain what is needed or can wait for another time if not urgent. I was thrilled when I found them as my experience with the car dealership service department was never a trusted experience and I always felt they were over charging as well as pushing service on me unnecessarily. I never feel that way with Fisher/Martin or with Gary and they try to get you in and out in a reasonable time.

We have been getting our vehicles serviced by Gary and son, Jeff, for years. He is very trustworthy and will give you honest answers regarding your vehicle. He is very knowledgeable and explains in detail what is wrong with your car and what needs to be done to repair it. He inspects the condition of your vehicle and let s you know, for example, how much wear is present on the brakes. If your vehicle s repair is under warranty, he will refer you to your dealer. His prices are fair and you know in advance what they will be. We highly recommend Fisher-Martin Auto for your vehicle s service and repair.

Fisher-Martin's service is exceptional. I've probably gone to Gary for nearly 30 years and know that each time, I'll be made well informed and treated fairly. The graciousness is just a bonus. He and Jeff and the others catch things to be done that I'd missed, and the car responds well to the excellent judgement [and fine record-keeping] that is their trademark. I highly recommend them!

Fisher/Martin has been our mechanics for the past thirty years. Gary, has always been very upfront and professional with our dealings on any vehicle that has needed attention.I would highly recommend them whether its for a complete engine replacement, or periodic maintenance. We have never had to use anybody else.In my book they are the epitome of excellence, top shelf all the way.Mitchell A. Melnick, Jr.

I have been going to Gary for close to 10 years now. He (and his son Jeff) is honest as the day is long. They are upfront about what is going on with the vehicle and give you all the information you need to make an informed decision. They respect the value of a dollar and realize repair work can be prohibitively expensive - and will advise what can wait, and what shouldn't. To boot - they are kind, professional, and courteous.

Owner was honest and forthcoming about status of my car. He fully explained, in words I could understand, what work he thought was needed. The cost was very reasonable. I "Trust" Fisher/Martin and appreciate their business.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

We have had 8 different cars over the years that we have taken to Fisher Martin, we have ALWAYS been pleased with their work. They are friendly, and always call to discuss what they find with the car prior to starting repairs, giving you a complete run down on what needs to be done and the cost. If there are several things, they tell you what should be done first, and what can wait until later. There is no place else in town that we would take our vehicles, and often refer people there because they are honest and trustworthy.I believe you will be more than satisfied with their work, the owners and the mechanics. They stand behind their work with no questions.

They can help you keep your old car running and if you are like me and don't want a new car these guys are the best! They always do a great job!

I have been using Gary and Jeff for over 30 years. They always tell me exactly what I have to have to repair the cars I have. If something can wait safely they will mention it and leave the decision up to me. I can expect to receive professional work, expert advice and correct information to make intelligent decisions. You can't get better than that no matter how much you pay!

Being female, I have had some bad experiences with auto shops in the past but no more. I have been taking my cars to Fisher/Martin for almost 20 years now. Gary is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. He has never pushed anything on me. If something will need work in the near future he tells me with an estimated amount of time. He even sends me emails to let me know what I may expect with where I am mileage wise. I like knowing that this is a local family business. Gary's son Jeff also works there. I really believe in supporting our local business, especially when they are great like Fisher/Martin Automotive! ~Think. Shop. Buy. Local..!!

Once again Gary and the crew at Fisher Martin have provided outstanding service for my car. This time it was new brakes. The job was completed in a timely fashion and with consideration to my pocketbook. Gary's excellent knowledge and his conscientiousness have been a true benefit to me for over 30 years now.

This shop is awesome! Our daughter is in college down in the Ventura area and we live in NorCal. She called us to report a problem with her car just an hour before she was due to drive home for the weekend! We called this shop (our family in the area HIGHLY recommends them). We explained the situation and they were courteous, professional and QUICK to respond! If it hadn t been for them and their quick actions our daughter would not have been able to come home! Our daughter said they were great!!! Thank you soooo much, Fisher/Martin Automotive! You ve got yourself a new customer and we will refer others!

On New Years Day, I backed my car out of my garage and the ABS, ASC Off, Brake, and Check Engine lights all came on in my Mitsubishi Outlander. I have only had this car for 9 months and driven it less than 10k miles, with it only having one previous owner and very low mileage. I refrained from driving my vehicle at all until I could get it to this shop, where I took it because of the reviews, and as I no longer live close enough to the mechanic I loved and used for years when living in Santa Clarita.Gary informed me, and my father, that the repair was going to cost $3,000 for an "ABS Control Module". I asked that a printout with an estimate, etc. be provided to me upon pickup. I began doing research on this issue on the internet, calling other mechanics, and even going to where I bought the car and then the Mitsubishi dealership to ask about Gary's quote before I picked up my vehicle. I was informed that the quote seemed high for an ABS Control ModuleGary's estimate stated that I needed an "ABS Hydraulic Control Unit with Module", which costs over $2,300 (please note that I found this part online for over $1,000 cheaper). What Gary had told my father and I started changing to seemingly justify the bid. When asked why he could not purchase the ABS Control Module and Solenoid (which he mentioned when picking up my car) independently, he told me that the "dealership" had told him this was the only part he could get to fix both of those things. An ABS Control Module and Solenoids are in fact sold separately, and total around $300 cumulatively. I began to feel like Gary was lying to me and the way he spoke to me was fairly dismissive and indicative of an archaic stereotype that women cannot possibly comprehend mechanics.I paid Gary $148 for a diagnostic, which specifically states "Diagnostic scan includes retrieval of codes recorded in the on board computer if any and the technician's analysis of the data available from the on board computer." Basically, he read the computer codes, called the Mitsubishi dealership and quoted me the most expensive fix without any further investigation. The codes that were coming up were P1773, C2200, C1200, and C2104. When researching this problem, which turns out to be a common error in Mitsubishi vehicles, it is suggested to reset the codes, check the terminals and battery before doing almost anything else.Gary told me that I could keep driving the car and everything would be fine, except it might skid a little and won't pass smog. Upon further research, it could have been detrimental to continue driving my car with those active codes. All codes state they are high priority to repair and the car should not be driven.I took my car to a different mechanic the same day Gary had ran the diagnostic on my vehicle. That mechanic was able to take a look at my car the following day, today. They cleared the codes trying to assess whether it had been water leaking into the ABS module or not due to the recent rains, or some other issue. The codes did not come back. (Please remember that this is one of the first suggestions on all of the research that I, a layman, was able to locate within 10 minutes if reviewing Gary's diagnostic that he made no notations of having completed.) It is not a guarantee that the codes will not return, especially as it is a recurring issue with Mitsubishi vehicles, but it was a breath of fresh air to deal with a mechanic again who was reasonable, respectful, kept me informed, and looked for other solutions and alternatives. I am a very hard working single mother and do not need to be shelling out $3,000 if not absolutely necessary, and I definitely cannot afford to be driving around my child in a vehicle that could be unsafe, and completely illegal to drive if unable to pass smog.I informed Gary of the other mechanic's findings and he made no attempt to refund the diagnostic fee. I have also spoken to two other people who have had similar experiences with Fisher/Martin.Services: Transmission, Engine repair, Brakes

Gary takes great care of my car! He's straight up and honest and has saved me a ton of money by not having to go the dealership. I found Fisher Martin about three years ago on Yelp. As long as I live in the area, I will take my car to Fisher Martin.

Trust is hard to come by these days, but you can find it at Fisher/Martin. They have done a great job taking care of my car for 20 years, and I always drive away feeling good about the maintenance completed and the reasons for it. Gary, Jeff and all their mechanics rock.

Several years ago I made a decision to keep my 1999 Taurus a little longer being that it is driven only a few miles each week.. The car had been properly maintained but that source had retired. I looked for an AAA facility close to home. Luckily I found Fisher/Martin. Due to their good maintenance, I don't see their friendly faces often. But when I do, I knowthe issue will be solved. Brings some peace of mind to an owner of an older car.i

I recently had my truck serviced at Fisher/Martin. I found Gary to be the most patient and honest mechanic I have found so far. He takes time to answer questions and explain resolution methods. He was able to resolve issues I've had with my truck since I've owned it. Attempts to resolve those issues at other shops failed. I really believe that he thinks about what he is going to do before he does it. I really appreciate that.

I have used the automotive repair services provided by Fisher-Martin for several years. They have worked on our 2002 Honda Accord and 2006 Dodge Ram Diesel. Not only has their work always been outstanding but they have suggested alternative solutions to problems that led to reduced cost of repair. I have, on two occasions asked for a service that I thought might be needed only to be told that I could very safely postpone that service for at least another year.It is very rare to have a company that really takes the best interest of their clients to heart and declines work that could have profited them. Ethical, reliable, reasonable and efficient, these are qualities that are seldom encountered.

Fisher/Martin Automotive Service has been my "Go To" repair service for several years. I've always got prompt estimates and very timely repairs on my vehicles. They are AAA listed. A great shop for necessary repairs, good advice for service and preventive maintenance (routine oil changes, etc)

Gary (the owner) is very honest in his dealings. He will never push you to buy up on service that you don't really need, unlike Toyota - you go there for an oil change and then they scare the hell out of you until you end up whipping out your credit card for 500 bucks worth of this and that service/change/replacement blah-blah.However, the facility doesn't have a spacious waiting lounge though although they brew fresh coffee. Next to them is a strip mall where more than half of the stores are empty!

First in April/2008, Fisher Martin replaced the Accessory Shaft Assembly and Crank Seal in my 1995 Toyota Previa Van. Since then, the van only required minimal maintenance up until it was totaled in July/2010. In November/2010, they inspected my replacement, a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser. They found problems and recommended all work necessary to complete before the manufacturers warranty expired in January. During completion of warranty work, I called Gary of Fisher Martin who helped me get the transmission seal covered under warranty, as well as, additional parts replacement without duplicate labor costs. Fisher Martin has helped save me bookoo bucks on in house repairs, inspections, and consultation for work performed elsewhere! He is the best mechanic that I have ever had!
