I had my transmission rebuild on my 98 Dodge Ram. 3 year warranty or 100 thousand miles. I also had my rear differential rebuild. My truck runs like new. Thanks to Dave Wilkes Transmission. They also fixed a few small thing for no charge. Amazing!

My regular mechanic (who came highly recommended) said these guys are the only transmission shop in the city they trust. I was not disappointed. They were polite, quick, skilled, and didn't try to sneak in any fake problems.

Highly recommend. They are honest, fast, and do a very good job! They're also super friendly and very knowledgeable. If you need some repairs, on your car this is the place to go ! I always enjoy just talking with Dave and the other mechanics too.

If there was a notch above "Top Notch" that is exactly where I would classify Dave and his team of courteous and dapper professionals!I was "fortunate" enough to have a major transmission failure in the middle of a 1500 mile trip around the western US. Luckily I was referred to Dave, and happened to be less then a mile away from his shop.Dave was quick to get my truck diagnosed and gave me a complete and comprehensive run down of what options I had to get my truck back on the road.Each of the shop crew that I came in contact with was in the loop and on point with what was going on with my truck, which really impressed me. Usually with my experience at other shops, its like pulling teeth to get anyone that knows whats going on with the repair..Dave shop in itself is a fine tuned and well oiled machine! With a team of experts each working together to provide service at a top tier level!Upon pickup Daves expert transmission re-builder Cliff was more then happy to show me the old parts from my truck. He passionately explained to me in detail what went wrong and what repairs and improvements they made to ensure that my truck would be back up and towing in tip top shape and more reliably then it did before.While I cant say that having my transmission blow up while out of town was the best thing that's ever happened to me.. I can say that I feel extremely fortunate and particularly grateful that I came across Dave and his team and had the best experience possible!Thanks Dave, Cliff and Wally for your sincere care, expert knowledge and Top- Top Notch service!

I needed a Transmission service and I called around to 3 different shops, and the service that they were going to provide for a Transmission flush were all done differently! At Dave Wilkes the technicians take off the bottom cover to flush out and check the filters, and gear assemblies to make certain that all is operational.I received excellent service and courteis greeting by Walter Navarro. I even got to meet Dave!!!

I would highly recommend them for trusted auto repair.Wally gave me an accurate estimate, and final bill showed same. The last visit was cv joint repair and rear engine main seal replacement. They stopped the oil leek and my driveway is clean once again.

Wally and the crew did an awesome job on my truck. Very Courteous, informative and knowledgeable. You'll not find a more professional Transmission shop in this region. The rating only allows 5 stars, but I'd gladly give 10.

These guys are the best in the business. Honest shop, extremely knowledgeable, and they keep constant communication through every step of the way and make sure you know exactly what is going on with your car and make sure you have no surprises at pick up (shout out to Wally!). Had me and my near seized transmission back on the road in 24 hours at an amazing price.

Friendly service, well established reputation. Have always appreciated their honest service. One time the Ford dealer told me I needed a new transmission. I decided to get a second opinion from Dave, he diagnosed the problem and fixed it for just a few hundred dollars compared to a few thousand I would have paid to the dealer for a new transmission!

Good communicators and thoughtful about the Customer experience. Rebuild recheck and test drive was fine. Wally said "see you in 40 thousand miles." Dave and his crew gave me good service for my money and know their transmissions...and good referrals for unrelated problems.

My experience with Dave Wilkes Transmission shop was great. This is probably one of the last transmission repair shops that can be trusted for honesty, integrity, and professional work. I had quotes for three times the cost from other shops in the Ventura area to rebuild the transmission in my car, but Dave Wilkes said that he would not rebuild the transmission before investigating and further analysis of the problem. Dave worked from small to big which, is the intelligent and honest way to approach the job, which also got me back on the road with a solid functioning reliable transmission. When you walk into the Dave Wilkes shop you see a clean, organized operation. and are treated with courtesy and respect. I advise other people with transmission problems to avoid every other transmission shop in the Ventura area, and I did the footwork and I am very mechanical, the other shops are dirty, disorganized and super shady rip-off artists. If you really want to be abused go to the dealer. I highly recommend Dave Wilkes for honest and professional service

Could not say enough positive things about this shop. We were visiting family, drove in from Phoenix on a Thursday and had a transmission fluid leak that needed attending too. They were kind enough to get our vehicle evaluated that same day, and went above and beyond to coordinate parts and another shop to evacuate and refill the AC system (necessary to replace my transmission cooler which was the problem) so that repairs could be finished by close Friday to accommodate our leaving for Phoenix without waiting for Monday work on the vehicle. They even stayed late Friday to finish the work, above and beyond service. Wally the main tech was very communicative and helpful in explaining every step of the process over the phone, and giving me very informed and honest info about cost and breaking down the specifics of the findings and recommended repair work. Dave the owner also was very involved and helpful as well, this seems like an incredibly well run shop top to bottom. The price paid for the repairs was very fair, if not a bargain even, we honestly expected more California sticker shock being from Arizona. Our car works like a dream now, thanks again Dave Wilkes Transmissions!

Really amazing service, I was recommended by my uncle when I needed a new transmission. Dave helped me out with getting my third party warranty company to cover my transmission replacement. Overall I am beyond satisfied and grateful for their dedication to their customers. 5 out of 5 stars easy.

I have an old Jaguar, that runs good and looks good, but the transmission went out.I called Dave and we discussed the problems that needed to be fixed, we agreed on a price and I managed to get the car over to him.There were a couple of things that he had to do that were over and above the price, but he didn't charge me any extra.I now have a rebuilt transmission that has a three year parts and labour warranty. When the car was ready it was clean and had just been washed.Excellent work Dave.

Had my vehicle at a local shop and after being told that I needed a new transmission. I had a few questions and when their answers didn't make sense, frankly they didn't know what they were talking about. I took my vehicle to Dave Wilkes shop, he pulled the codes and verified what the codes said were the cause for the intermittent problems I was having. Saved me thousands of dollars, thanks Dave and crew. Awesome to have found an honest shop and I will recommend my family and friends with all there transmission needs.

I huge THANK YOU to Wally (Manager) for his excepcional customer service and expertise in assisting me with my vehicle concern...Wally and his Team of Professional's were great in solving my vehicle problem and I highly recommended this shop!!! I am beyond happy with the awesome service I received and you will be too!!! I will most definitely recommend this shop to my family and friends for any of their Transmission concerns!

Mr Wilkes estimated that the repair for my leaking axle seal would be between $300 and $350.00. So i approved the work. He ended up charging me over $380.00 and that included a $40 Auto Club discount. So the charge WOULD have been $420.00. Seems like Dave would be better at an estimate after 25 years or whatever he claims. I wont be back with pricing like that.

I have an '08 Infiniti M45. An Infiniti dealership said the codes I was getting from a "Service Engine Soon" light indicated I needed a Valve Body in the transmission replaced and recommended I replace the entire transmission to be sure the problem was fixed. The Valve Body was going to cost $2500 installed and the new transmission was $7500 installed.I took the car out of the dealership immediately. They still charged me for what I knew was a wrong diagnosis. The dealership didn're even pull off the pan to check the transmission.Dave Wilkes got the codes, pulled off the pan, found the transmission to be fine, fixed a broken circuit in the Valve Body, and had the car fixed in a day. Dave Wilkes saved me almost $7000.Thanks, DaveSincerely,Kevin
