I'm speaking on behalf of my husband, who is extremely happy with the work at this auto shop. He had been to many car repair shops until he finally found Ben & Barney's. He found them not only to be the very best repair shop, but Ben, the owner and the one and only mechanic who does EVERYTHING, to be very friendly and easy to work with. He says that Ben not only has a plethora of accolades and infinte knowledge about all cars--domestic and foreign--he will answer all your questions and reassure you anytime. My husband has finally found the mechanic shop to take his '04 Mini Cooper to from now on, and he can now finally, after so many years of sleepless nights and wasting thousands of dollars, rest assured that he will be well taken care of! That pleases me as well: very satisfied and happy husband = much happier wife. We definitely recommend Ben & Barney's Balboa Car Care Center. Thanks, Ben & Barney!

This place is great. I was visiting LA and about to leave town when I noticed coolant under my car. They got me in, diagnosed the issue, and replaced my radiator within the day and at a fair price. I was on my way that evening thanks to their awesome service!

I had a flat near my work and I had to go here. They were recommended by several colleagues and staff at the gas station where I had the spare put on, Ben helped me and was very reasonable with the piecing:) They are excellent and very trustworthy. I first went to a nissan dealership for services and when i quickly realized they where just trying to upsell me. I decided to take my car here (referred by my parents) Ben was super nice, honest and informative and price was a fraction of the cost at nissan. Not to to mention they where very respectable. I came here on a flat tire, staff was very helpful. They didn't have the tire size I needed, but they ordered it and was there within 20 minutes. Service was fast and checkout was easy. Price for the new tire was great, overall excellent service.

I found Ben and Balboa Car Care Center on the web, looking for an inspection on a used car I was interested in buying. He did a thorough job and pointed out many things about the car that we would not have had any way of knowing about. The problems would surely have caused us money and headaches in the future, and I was so grateful for Ben's knowledge to point out things that will make us better consumers. Thank you for your professionalism, money well spent.

Ben and Barney have been taking care of all.our cars for 15 plus years. Just had them work on my '85 mr2 to help it pass smog. Passed and runs like newPrices are always fair and the give you a price quote before taking action. Great fast service and honest mechanics

I'm always skeptical about taking my car into shops after being burned a few times. However, these guys not only fixed my car, but didn't try to beat around the bush with me. Told me exactly what was wrong with my car, what was needed to fix it and was way cheaper than I imagined it would be.

Balboa Care Care Center is that unicorn among auto repair establishments: they do the work properly, it's ready when they say, and the labor and parts costs always make sense. You can't ask for more.
