Right before Christmas Eve, the rear brakes started to rattle and sounded like they were falling apart. The parking brake also felt loose. This was a full brake job done in June of 2023 in Sonoma at Sonoma Tire (now closed).I was able to get in on 12/22 and left my car overnight. The mechanic showed me how the spring mechanism inside one of the rear wheels literally came apart and was scraping around inside the drum. The job was done and ready the next day. It wasn t cheap but at least it was done (presumably) well and with a warranty.About 2 weeks later, the parking brake felt completely limp and it felt like only the front brakes were working. To come to a stop I had to apply the brakes well ahead to make sure I wasn t going to hit any cars in front of me.I took my car back to Wheel Works as soon as they opened the next day and the manager was able to get my car inspected and corrected in about 4-5 hours. His explanation was that a spring needed tightening but the brakes and drums and mechanism in the rear that was fixed were in good shape.The four stars are for the turnaround and professionalism. Ding one star for the fact that I had to bring the car back after an expensive repair which should have been done right the first time.

I recently visited Wheel Works for some routine maintenance and tire service, and I must say, the experience exceeded all my expectations, largely thanks to an employee named Ben. From the moment I walked in, Ben greeted me with a warmth and professionalism that instantly made me feel welcome and confident in the services I was about to receive.What stood out to me about Ben was his exceptional customer service skills. He was not only knowledgeable about the various services and products offered but also took the time to explain them to me in a way that was easy to understand. He listened attentively to my concerns, asked clarifying questions to ensure he fully understood my needs, and provided personalized recommendations that showed he genuinely cared about my vehicle's performance and my safety on the road.

All the employees were fabulous, from the desk to the shop. By phone call, we determined what would be best choice in tires and there was time available for me to install them. They seemed knowledgeable. One mechanic took time from his break when he saw me looking around for help and he helped me take my rear windshield wipe off because I couldn't do it myself. That was above and beyond and very appreciated. The job took longer than expected, but that may have been due to my tires or something.

I have been a regular customer there for several years and every time they take care of me. I'm a single mom so when something goes wrong with my car, it's a big deal. They know how to take care of their regulars.This time, they were going to charge me for a full diagnostic but Ben only charged me $40. Despite the problem with my car being an engine issue, Ben recommended the next best. Appreciate you Ben!

In shop now. Will change stars based off of progress. As of now everything is going to plan but there are emotions flying from the employees that disregard customer being always right. I just called my warranty to get heads up then I had my warranty call the shop. Shop was upset and made it a point to call me and tell me to not call Anyone else. Made me feel like by me calling to make sure of things myself was the wrong thing to do. I have rights. I am able to call my warranty and checkup and make sure things will go according to plan without interfering with the shop. Shop seemed upset that I called my warranty first myself. But will add more stars after whole process is complete.

Referred by my son, the reception was professional. My alignment was completed quickly, and the results were fair. They explained that the next alignment was free if completed within a year. I will definitely be back.

My wheel alignment was done properly at this location and they not did a drive test before returning it to me. I find out who did my wheel alignment did not do a good job cause when i visited my relative at santa rosa who happens to be a mechanic as well at Firestone did a test drive on my car after i mentioned to him that looks the alignment was not properly done at all. Good thing he was able to bring it to his workplace even though he was off that day and they allow him to re check it since its a sister company that did mine in vallejo. Good emough he found out that it was aligned good at all he even as me to take a picture of it before and after he re alligned my car and corrected it properly. I will never come back in this location in the future even though i have unlimited alignment that i bought, i rather go to different locations that does the work properly after i have to pay for it.

I've been a customer for about 14 years at this location. There's good and bad visits at any auto shop as most of us walk in not wanting to spend money and want everything completed immediately.I always sit and wait, so I see and hear how things go here for hours each visit. All these guys work non stop, the phones ring constantly and walk ins never quit. The reps always seem to try and please everyone.This weeks experience was awesome for me. I came in wanting specific tires I trust and have on all my other cars. Unfortunately they don't make the size for the front of my infinity. Alberto tried his best to find something for me in the run flat line that would work, unfortunately the only one set he found had horrible reviews and he was honest and said if I gave him some time he would continue to search some other distributors. I ended up settling on a different set he had to order. He said he would call to set appointment when they came in.Today I got a call from Ben, he set appointment and here I wait. He has been extremely helpful to everyone that has came in and on the phone. This is exactly why I continue to come here. Sure I could go elsewhere and maybe save a few bucks, but I'd rather better customer service, because if I ever need anything I'd trust them to not turn me away.Thanks for great service again and being one of the few shops in Vallejo that are honest.Ben and Roberto run this place with patience and respect to customers.

While we were on a road trip from the Midwest last summer, we took our rental car to Wheel Works in Vallejo California when one of the car's tires began repeatedly leaking air. The Service Manager, Roberto Alvarez, was incredibly helpful. After determining that the tread on all four tires was dangerously low, Roberto persistently worked with the rental car company to get approval for the tires to be replaced. And he then worked very hard to have them replaced as quickly as possible so we could be on our way for the remainder of our trip. I really can't say enough good things about Roberto and Wheel Works and am extremely grateful for the outstanding service they provided.Service: Tires

We've had a nail/screw/debris in our tire treads three times in the past two years from driving around Vallejo. Fortunately, these guys let us know about the tire protection plan when we purchased our latest set and it's been easy every time we've had to come in--they took care of it and got us back on the road in about 30 minutes. And I appreciated the great customer service and patience figuring out the best options for me and my wife.

We've had nails in our tires twice in the past year. Fortunately, we bought the tire protection plan when we purchased the tires (included lifetime tire rotation) and it's been easy every time we've had to come in. We also purchased the lifetime vehicle alignment warranty for each of our family's cars which has saved us money. An annual wheel alignment is recommended but with uneven road pavement, potholes and normal wear and tear, sometimes it's twice a year. Ben and Roberto have been professional and patient in explaining options for regular vehicle maintenance and inspections at reasonable prices. They do get very busy so it's best to schedule an appointment instead of dropping in.

Made an appointment for an oil change last week, went for the oil change was not in the system. Made another appointment for today, my husband got a call that they didn't have time to so the oil change today and to call and reschedule and we would get a discount. Called the number 15 times. I have now changed my work schedule twice and still no oil appointment.

Called to schedule an oil change but was put on hold twice. Third time on hold I drove to the location while on hold (8am). When I arrived Ben greeted me at the counter and I can hear the phone line beeping. Let him know that that is me on the phone line and he got extremely defensive and told me that he was very busy(literally just standing at counter). He said they couldn't get me in for a drop off and had no appointments for the day. Went online and made an appointment for the same day at 1pm and it was accepted. Decided to go somewhere else because of this.

This wheel works is always very busy. I had an appt for a flat repair/possible replacement. They had ordered a tire in case mine was not repairable. Mine was repairable so the work was free because I had bought the tire insurance plan. It took a bit longer than I would have liked but that's life.

Worst service ever. Brought a tire in for a patch job at 9am. Was told that it would take a little time. I left and came back several times. Each time there were new cars on the lift and my tire was still waiting. At 3:50 came back again (with a new set of cars on lift) and it was still not done. Customer service and communication do not exist at the location. Will never go to Wheel Works or Firestone again.

Dropped my truck off on Monday for a simple power steering hose, and they kept saying they couldn't find one and would have to check with dealer.. went to pick my truck up on Wednesday cuz they never got back to me, and they couldn't find my car keys,turns out they left them in a customers car and had to wait for them to drop them off..then when I left my hood flew open in the middle of traffic. Worst experience ever. Do not go to this place if you have an old school vehicle. Extremely unprofessional and unorganized.

2020 UPDATE: After 3 years of my sister, my husband and I getting tires here I am very impressed with this Wheel Works location. Ben is a great service agent, always honest, even if it means a smaller sale. He accommodates the craziness of our schedule and is kind. The guys in the garage are great too. Polite and kind and quick to provide assistance. Ben recently went out of his way to pick up new tires for me from another store when an unexpected flat before a road trip made me realize I needed new tires fairly urgently and definitely before we left. I think my original review (below) was left in 2017 but I know that was when we started doing business with them.2017 (I think) review: They have always seemed fair and honest to me.
