Sean is the man. He fixed the overheating issues I was having with my 1967 mustang and also figured out the electrical issues with the lights. Got my baby back on the road again. He will be the only mechanic touching my mustang from now on. Thank you Sean.

I am guilty of not writing a review for any service before. I am caregiver for my wife and it consumes most of my time. I have been a customer for over 5 years. I have lived in Vacaville since 1979. Family auto care is by far the best auto care facility in the area. Sean and his wife are so friendly, they seem part of your family. Sean and his teams workmanship is beyond compare and they complete their work in a very timely manner. I am so glad they moved to the new location with more parking. I apologize for taking so long to write a review. I just wished you guys were around many years earlier.Services: Electrical repair, Auto battery replacement, General repairs & maintenance

Can t say enough about the gang at Family Auto. I had a lot to get fixed on my 1993 K3500 and they did amazing work, showed me items I missed, and went up and above to correct all the items that needed to be repaired. And the pricing was very reasonable. I will be returning for future service on my two trucks and car.

We have been bringing our vehicles to Family Auto Care for years. Everyone there is so helpful and nice and Sean always starts the repairs with the least expensive route. We appreciate that they make us feel like they truly care. Ramses is wonderful! I got my oil changed there last week and got to see their new place!

Sean did a really great job on my car. I've been wanting to get some work on it done for a year or more, and after giving it to Family Autocare for a few days, it drives like a new vehicle. Smooth and comfort.

Such a wonderful experience during such a stressful time when our car decided it wanted to break down on us! Prompt and friendly service with easy to understand explanations of the problem allowed us to rest easy knowing our car was in good hands! Definitely found our new Auto Shop of choice!

Shawn and Nicole have always given us amazing service. They have always been honest. Customer friendly reasonable and understanding. They give amazing advice when needed when looking for a new used truck. Always willing to help and go the extra mile. We live 100 miles away and still bring our trucks and cars to them. So worth the drive. Recommended 1000% Blessed to have them.

My fianc�e worked here at family auto for a few years, He and later I learned that this mom and pop shop was very genuine, fair priced and family oriented. I continue even after my fianc�e moved on from family auto as does he to bring our vehicles here. Sean is very informative, communicates and is hard working.I recently brought my Ford Explorer in for a 29 point inspection which is a very large inspection. I got good news and was informed of things I should take care of in the order of importance. The quote really wasn t to bad.I then came back two weeks later to receive a trans drain and fill and they completed that in a very timely manner, no issues. I came in to pay after the service was done and I was greeted by his lovely wife and we held a very genuine funny conversation!I highly recommend family auto! Give them a call!

Seth and his team were phenomenal,friendly,and knowledgeable. Shawn and Nicole are super nice! That s just the icing on the cake. I took my 76 Ford Truck in here to get work and it was very good quality work. I ve been to many mechanics here in Vacaville and this place by far totally impressed me. Very humble, honest and good work. I will take all my family cars here from now on. Thank you and I m glad I found you.

Had my 2014 Camry Serviced here. Sean was awesome to work with. He was honest, professional, kind, and respectful. Got everything I needed done at a great price and in a timely manner. Will be returning for future services. I Highly recommend.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Sean at Family Auto Care does great work and has proven to us a level of integrity that we appreciate. Sean is honest and up front in regards to what work needs to be done and explains each repair and the impact if the work is not completed. Being a military family finding an honest mechanic each time we relocate can be difficult. We hit the jackpot during our 3 years in Vacaville when we found Family Auto Care. We had been told we needed $3000+ repairs, took it to Sean who ran more tests to find that the repairs were not needed. How many mechanics would do that? Not many, Sean for sure! We are now leaving and have to start over and hope to be as blessed at our new location. Thanks for great service and customer care Sean and Nichole.This review is based on truth, our experiences with them, nothing about Sean and Nichole trying to make themselves look good, they are good!

Great service on my 1991 Toyota Pickup! Accomplished what they said they would do on time and on budget. Sean and Nicole went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. They even coordinated with the shipper since I was having the truck repaired before being shipped out of state.

Sean and Nicole have been entrusted to care for all my vehicles and have never let me down. Their honesty, integrity, high-quality work and fair prices have kept me coming back. They ve fixed and serviced my Land Rover, VW, Mitsubishis and all my kids cars. We are thankful to have them in our community.

Family Auto Care is a great place to get your vehicle repaired. Sean and Nicole are great people who will do whatever it takes to ensure that you leave happy; and if you're not satisfied they will bend over backwards to ensure that they fix whatever they can. I had several vehicles fixed by them and although it may of taken a bit longer than one of the larger mechanic shops to get done, I knew that it was going to be done RIGHT...which was more important than patchwork fixes done by the dealerships in town.. Their prices are reasonable and on occasion they taught me how to fix the vehicle myself and saved me money. A good, honest mechanic shop is hard to find...but I found one with Sean and Nicole.

If I could give zero stars I would. I ve honestly debated on event writing this, but our experience was so negative I finally decided to. We were referred here by our warranty company, and it was an absolute nightmare. Waited weeks to get in, and that s fine, but even after dropping our car off at our appointment it still took a week before they even looked at it. We brought it in for two things- a full inspection as our extended warranty had expired, and an axel replacement covered under a part warranty. We had already had the problem diagnosed by another shop in town, but unfortunately they were not in network with our part warranty. When family Autocare finally looked, they stated they had no idea what was causing the noise, (again, we already had a claim with the part warranty- and had emailed over the information) and that they could replace the axel but that they weren t sure it was the problem, nor could they determine what was the problem. Through all of this, I primarily had been handling the communication. My husband goes to pick the car up, and the guy at the counter stated he felt bad charging us since they didn t diagnose anything, and waived the $100 inspection, but still charged us $150 to NOT diagnosis the problem. The guy stated he didn t know that was a warranty when my husband stated he was pretty annoyed but said he would look into it and call him back. Ironically, the paperwork we were given had the warranties both documented. He calls my husband the next day to say he s sorry, didn t realize there was already a claim and that the part was ordered, stated there would be no charge to us and to bring the car in next week. We bring it in, they do the replacement and then refused to refund the $150 diagnosis, which is suppose to be covered by the parts and labor warranty. The lady says she would call us, never did. At this point we cut our losses. The sound immediately comes back within two days, took it to our usual shop, and family auto care did not properly torque the bolt and washer to factory and thankfully our shop fixed it with ease. I would rather walk to work in the blistering sun than ever take my car there again.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection

I've taken my car for a check engine light that's been on and off for a year now. So far the lights had been off and hopefully stays that way. The work performed was great and very nice hospitality. Will definitely come back again if needing work done to my car

These guys are great. Very easy to work with and responsive to phone calls. They did a terrific job of finding the problem with my van and it saved me from breaking down on the side of the road on our upcoming road trip. These folks want to serve you and get the job done right, they aren't pushy and they are a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone.

This is the third time I ve brought a vehicle to Family Auto Care for repair. Each time they have been very warm, caring and professional. They are very honest up front and open about the work they perform and explain the reason behind their suggestions. My family has been very happy with each work performed and will look to them for future needs.

Shaun and his family always give us quick, honest, and great work. They are easy to talk to; making everything super easy and clear. We make a special effort to drive down from Davis for service on all of our cars. It's totally worth it to know it's being done right and by an honest person who is supporting their family as well.

This was my first experience with Family Auto Care and I couldn't have been more satisfied. I needed electrical work on a 2005 vehicle and Sean found and solved the problem quickly and expeditiously. They actually bumped up the completion time to allow me to meet a commitment that arose after I had dropped off the van. Friendly "family" atmosphere, clean facilities and waiting area made for a great first time at Family Auto Care. I will certainly use them again.

My experience started with a disaster (an overheated engine)that resulted in the need to replace it with a rebuilt engine. The engine that was sent was defective. Through various trials and tribulations, it turns out that further work needs to be done. Sean stood behind his work and was honest and thorough. He has tried to correct errors that were not his fault. His honesty and thoroughness are appreciated.The combination of honesty, and great work have me convinced I will be a life-long customer. He stands by his work, and his honesty and high standards are welcome in a world that is not always personal. and ethical..

We needed to find somebody we could trust to repair my sons car out in Vacaville, California where he's stationed in the Air Force. So I went to Google and read the reviews and found Family Auto Care. The reviews were excellent so I had my son tow the car in for repair. In short they did a great job, they were honest and knowledgeable and quick and I know little bit about car repair. They took the time to talk to me and explain everything in detail. During our conversation I found that they were a Christian outfit and they acted like it. Thank you for doing a great job replacing the fuel pump in my sons car.David Warner

I've used Family Auto care for roughly 9 to 10 years. I stumbled onto them out of desperation and that has been one of my biggest blessings. Sean and Nicole are AMAZONING!!! So much so my whole family uses them. Their customer service is above and beyond. Their prices!? Amazing! No extra hidden fees. No "oops we need to charge more." What they quote is what you pay. No gimmicks!This auto shop can handle anything on any make or model. They have worked on several makes of Pontiacs, Chrysler's, Jeeps, Dodges, hybrids, and more for myself and my family. They break every estimate down to what is of highest priority and explain everything so the average person understands. No pressure!!I WILL NOT GO TO ANOTHER SHOP AGAIN!! I'M A LIFETIME CUSTOMER!And so should you!

Sean and Nicole at Family auto have always been fast friendly and have always made sure that we get the repair fixed. Our first encounter with Sean and Nicole was with our little s10 it had a starting issue that know one in town could figure out but Sean did he was determined to get our truck fitted. We went back with our new honda civic that we bought used thinking we need a timing belt and come to find out it had been fixed. Sean will be stright forward and tell you what needs to be done and what can wait if your on a buget. I trust Sean and Nicole with any of our cars and trucks.The Griggs Family

After using many different mechanics in Vacaville (with unsatisfactory experiences) we found Sean and Nicole at Family Auto Care, and have not used any other auto shop in 10 years ( and 6 cars!) They do what they say and always at a fair price. It is all about trust and they have ours.

Great service, great mechanic, great customer service provided by Family Auto Care.Everytime my 25-year-old vehicle needs a repair, this is the place I take it to. They've shown nothing but professionalism and care for my ride's needs. Despite living a little over 25-30 minutes away, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I highly recommended this place.
