Great auto repair.I've been coming to 66 auto repair for years, they do a great job on all of my cars and trucks, thier very knowledgeable and friendly and they go out of their way like helping me save money on certain repairs and helping me get a ride home if I need one.They keep my C20 truck running great.

After getting ripped off at other garages, I've found Route 66 to be scrupulously and refreshingly trustworthy. They give honest assessments of current (and future) engine problems, don't suggest you replace parts that aren't fully worn out yet, and have their final prices match their estimates. As a frequent customer for many years, I've even had one of my flat tires patched by them for free. My car is old enough to vote, and I take it there once a year for a tune-up without any regrets. Frank and his staff are always friendly and helpful, and answer all of my questions. I've never had a garage that I've been so relieved to take my car to, even just to check out a rattle or resolve an idiot light on the dashboard. Give this garage a try. Do NOT take you're car here for a pre buy inspection! Do NOT waste your time and money!I paid for the deluxe pre buy inspection and they told me there was NOTHING major wrong with the truck. Just minor things like windshield wipers that needed to be replaced.So I bought the $15,000 truck, and about month later I started hearing a metal on metal sound.I took it to my local mechanic and they found some major Damage.Someone had gotten into an accident and grinded down the frame on front driver side suspension, also it's leaking power steering fluid, leaking coolant, broken engine fan shroud... All things that a competent, professional, mechanic, can easily find and Route 66 Auto repair did not.

When I saw the 2 "Classic Cars" in the on-line photos of this business, I figured it was probably the right place to get repairs for my '78 'Vette. I was really right. Frank bent over backward to make all the right repairs and adjustments to get my new Classic in proper order to meet California smog requirements. I have a few other issues with the car, but now I know just the right place to go for work. Most highly recommended.Services: Auto exhaust system repair, Auto maintenance

I ran something over on the freeway and my splash guard was hanging off and dragging. I took it here and they put it up on the lift and fixed it in under 20 minutes for a VERY reasonable price. Super professional and friendly, you can tell this is a shop that does good work and will not try to rip you off.

What planet am I on that when I call and say, "Hi, I was wondering if ya'll could use another mechanic" All I get is WHAT, HUH, COULD YOU SAY THAT AGAIN. I didn't stutter, my phone was working, GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND LEARN ENGLISH.

This review is long overdue.I was driving on the I-10 westbound in Upland, California on December 23, 2022, when my 2016 MB 300 GLC showed the very scary message "High temperature warning - Turn off engine now." Within a minute, I exited Euclid and pulled over. I then called AAA who sent a tow truck to take me and my car to Route 66 Auto.This place has something you will not find at any Mercedes dealership: muscle cars. I felt totally out of place, but Rony was super nice and helpful. He took my keys, my contact info, and said he would call me as soon as he had an update.Within an hour, Rony called and said that my car was fixed: loose radiator hose. He didn't even charge me.I picked up my car the next day and it was running perfectly. My car made it back to Phoenix a couple of days later without any problems.I would not hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone. They have integrity.BenService: Auto water leak repair

Went in about a dim headlight, was told it was the fact that the lens was a bit dirty and to go get it detailed. Spent $90 and waited an hour only for the detailing to do absolutely nothing, so I went back and they told me it could be the bulb but they thing its the whole headlight for which I would have to take it to the Toyota dealer. So I left and took it to the dealer, and guess what? It WAS the bulb, because OF COURSE IT WAS. Don't waste your time going here, they don't know what they are talking about.

This shop was recommended to me by AAA and I m glad I went to them. I needed a new alternator , air and cabin , a belt & Matt was very kind and informative during the whole process. I definitely had to step out of my comfort zone going to a new auto repair shop since moving from Los Angeles less than a year ago but they have a new returning customer.Service: Air & cabin filter replacement

Took my 1981 Chevy Corvette there back in March 2021.Mechanic was Mark. He was great and knowable. Spent $2600. Brakes & Engine ran fine until November2021. . Was supposed to be under warranty. Took back due to no brakes,sluggish stalling engine.However l was told they no longer worked oncarburetors. Car did'nt even make t home.. Serviced the car myself. Removed carb. had rebulit. $235.00. And bleed line myself.. What happen to prior owner and mechanics of this shop?

First things first, and one of the most important things to me: Very friendly employees who keep you up to date and work with you. They worked with my carmax warranty, and was very clear on all I needed to do. I was informed my parts came in the day before and they worked on it the night before. The car was in Monday, out Wednesday and only because they needed to order the parts. I may just have found a new mechanic to go to. Very pleased with them. :)

The guys at Route 66 are extremely upfront and honest, I was very impressed. My car was severely damaged while it was being driven by another driver and Route 66 allowed me to park the car at their shop for several weeks while I sorted out the legal issues. They didn't pressure us into any particular solution and were very patient in dealing with multiple parties involved. In the end the agreed to repair the vehicle at their own expense and sell the vehicle for me even through they didn't make a huge profit. The person that I worked with the most was named Steve. I feel that he truly went above and beyond in helping me resolve this situation.In addition to their customer service, I've always been very happy with the auto work that they've done. They provide detailed documentation of any problems that they find and will answer questions honestly about the severity of the issues.

Very courteous and friendly! These guys were great, fast and reasonably priced.The waiting room is very comfortable too. While I was waiting a guy came in with his check engine light on and they drove him home while they worked on his car!

I wrecked my car and needed help getting it road legal and safe again, these guys got on it very quickly, found me some of the best prices and are very friendly. Had everything replaced on my car within days thank you so much guys!

I give Route 66 Auto Repair high marks for their professionalism and customer service. After initially evaluating the problem, Steve at the front desk does a great job of explaining what's necessary, what's optional and what to keep an eye on down the road. They've done minor work on my Subaru Forester and major work on my Isuzu Trooper and their pricing was fair on both ends of the spectrum. I will definitely be back both for regular maintenance and emergency repairs.

Just returned the U haul trailer I rented from these guys. They were very professional and great to deal with. They were super cool about the possibility I was gonna be late anyways definitely the new u-haul rental spot for me. Thanks again guys.

My truck stalled near by and I was 95% sure it was the alternator. I was going to use all AAA services so I googled AAA aproved mechanic near me. I asked the guy for an estimate and he told me I would have to bring it in so he can give me a price. I asked again if he could give me at least a price range and he said said he would not know that I would have to bring it in. I was not wanting to shop arround because my car was stalled on the street I just wanted to know about how much I would spend and I could not get an answer. I wanted to find out if this was common practice at auto shops so I ended up calling 4 other mechanics near by and I even got exact pricing from 2 of them and 2 other estimates.The employee who answered the phone lacks integrity. I am a local resident and I can now elimitate this shop for concideration in my town.

Called for a quote on a basic oil change. The guy sounded bothered when I asked for the oil capacity of the vehicle I was asking about, he said he would have to "put my name in the system and go from there". How hard is that? Called another place and they did not hesitate to look it up and give me a straight answer.

I've never had a more professional and exceptional experience than with the management and technicians at Route 66. They have set the bar to a all new high. They are the gold standard.

Professional, quick, and trustworthy. Preston and Richard arte great. They diagnosed the problem, a bad starter, and had me fixed and on my way in 4 hours.

They put wrong parts in my car as well as a wrong sized tire. This place is chips. They might have been good in the past but now they are terrible.

I remember coming here for a complete auto repair and instead got a complete auto ripoff. Had engine light before taking it in and then had a ticking noise out.
