Henry is great to work with. Very honest and fair with evaluation of car issues. I was extremely pleased with the brake job and synthetic oil change price on my Lexus ES. He will get al1l my service work in the future and I highly recommend Bates auto service to anyone looking for excellent service at a very fair price

Henry is a great owner and operator who is honest and employs as such. I use Bates for routine maintenance and they even changed a water pump on my wife s 17 Expedition SAME DAY! Henry always takes care of everything needed. It can be a work vehicle or a personal vehicle, it doesn't matter. He always does the best work. The only place we take our station vehicles! My grandfather took my car to Bates Auto because the engine light turned on. They "fixed" it but shortly after getting it back the light turned back on. So, we called them and they told us to come by the next morning. They told us to leave my car for a few hours so they can look at it. We never heard back from them later that day even after calling them several times. My car ended up staying there over night. The next day, they called my grandfather to come pick up the car. I went with him and the man told us that they had to change the spark plugs because they were completely ruined. My car felt weird a soon as I drove out of their shop. I didn't think too much of it because I figured it just needed time to adjust to the new plugs.After a few days, my car still didn't feel right. It eventually broke down on me on my way to my mom's house. My brother took it to the Toyota dealership to get it serviced. It turns out the same plugs that Bates "fixed" was the problem. Let me also add that Bates charged my grandfather almost $600 for that service.Bates was referred to us by J&J since they retired, but I will never recommend them to anyone else.Overall customer service was horrible. I would've appreciated a least a phone call telling us that my car had to stay overnight instead we didn't get any communication from them not even a call back after trying to reach them all day.Second, my car actually ended up getting worse after they "serviced" it. I've had my car since 2012 and I've never had it break down shortly after taking it to the mechanic.

I have Been taking my cars here for years. Very honest, great work and even better prices! one of the few shops around that allows you to bring in your own parts. The shop is Always clean and well organized. They Work on all makes and all models. Being a women and looking for a good honest mechanic can be intimidating but at Bates you are in good hands!

Great communication, friendly, fast service, and reasonable. I normally take my car to the dealer, but just trying to get in is difficult, sometimes waiting weeks for an appt, and always spending at least $1k. Will definitely be coming back for future service, just hopefully not too soon!

I have been going to Bates Auto for years. Under Henry's management the excellent service has continued. They are honest. Their prices are reasonable. Their problem diagnoses are careful and accurate. Just be patient. They are always busy.

The place is tucked away in an industrial complex, but the money I saved made it worth the venture. Henry really took care of me, and the technicians were super knowledgeable about my honda, and they even made sure not to leave and oil smudges on my hood when they were done. Great service! They will get my business again for sure!

I been going here for years, when it was George working on your car, now the new owners Henry gives the same service. My husband Nick and Henry became good friends and only trusted this shop with our car after being scammed by another shop in Ontario.

Since 1976 they've been my mechanics. HONEST, attentive, smart. I moved away but I'd bring my car back for servicing while I visit with old friends. They kept my Toyota running for 24 years. After I bought a new one, I gave the old one to my granddaughter who lives 55 miles away and she still brings it to them and visits with us while they service it. THAT'S the circle of Life!!!

Stay away from this place. They ripped me off. Wasted 3,000 for services. Bad communication. We had to be calling to check on the car. Do your self a favor and go somewhere where they know what they are doing and are not going to misdiagnose your car.

My roommate and I were trying to locate a reputable repair shop to diagnose a rattling noise coming from the front end of his 2015 VW Jetta TDI.After reading the numerous positive reviews about Henry and how he is very honest and charges a very fair and reasonable price, we just had to give him and Bates a try.I must say on behalf of my roommate and I, that all of the positive reviews about Henry and Bates Automotive were right on the money. My roommates Jetta has a warranty with a $250 deductable. So rather than taking the Jetta for the rattle, we were hoping Henry could save us a few bucks. Henry gave us an estimate of $90 to get the vehicle on the rack and call us back within an hour. Sure enough, he called back and said the total cost to repair the issue (broken sheild) would be $125. Henry applied 1/2 of the estimate ($45) toward the repair, in addition he also did an oil change and replaced the oil filter. The oil change and front-end rattle fixed in less than two hours for only $125.We were both very pleased not only with the price but also the honesty and prompt repair work. I personally own a 2005 Ford F350 diesel and I will take it here for all repair work it needs. Thank you Henry!!

These Guys are the best! They have taken care of my Truck now twice, (For Different issues of course) and both times the truck has run better than it ever has! I would recommend them to EVERYONE I KNOW! Thanks again!

It's hard to find honest mechanics in this day and age. Bates Automotive is truly the last of the good guys. Always truthful and fair prices.

The owner is honest and he and his staff are knowledgeable.
