I am really glad, that I have found this business several years ago. Today was the fourth time I went back for a smog check to this station. Andrew, the owner-technician is very professional, honest and courteous. Every single time I have received a great service, for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this smog check station to anyone, who's looking for a good experience.

UPDATED:IT WAS DEFINITELY THIS BUSINESS AND IT WASN'T ON THE DAY THAT IT WAS POSTED AND WAS ABSOLUTELY TREATED POORLY. Taken my car here a couple times with no incident, then came again and the guy was obviously agitated about something. Tried to get some assistance and without even taking a look at my car was told that he won't take a chance at damaging his equipment because he "knew" it wouldn't pass. I tried to tell him that I've brought it here before but he wouldn't even hear me out as he walked away from saying something under his breath. There's nothing about my car that would indicate a smog failure or anything done to it. I just left in desbelief. Took it somewhere else and passed with no issue whatsoever. Negative experience for sure.

great service! I went in last week for my regular smog check and he clearly explained which sensors were failing (no cost!). Came back (with a fix from my mechanic at G-Tech, who recommended this place), and it passed perfectly!Great price, great service. The guy was very rude, even raised his voice a bit and wouldn't even try to test my car, saying it'd damage his equipment, when my vehicle has smooth sounding idle ( the only thing he could of possibly had against my car because he didn't make any effort at taking a second to inspect. Took it somewhere else and it passed eith no problem. Don't know what his issue was, upset from something and take it out on a customer that will never return again. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.

Needed to get a smog same day and they had a good price. Arrived in time and was told I could wait inside (it was actually hotter than outside). When I went back out they refused to do it stating I was missing a catalytic converter (claiming I was straight piped). Having my doubts being the fact the vehicle was previously owned by older women who were part of a religious organization I also confirmed both online and with the dealer that I was not. When I came right back to share this pointing out the cat on the vehicle they didn t care and still refused saying they d never seen that before.Guess I should understand because it s a pre 2000 Honda I m sure they re rare (sarcasm). Went somewhere else no problem (bonus they also confirmed this place was wrong along with another shop who couldn t do because their machine was down).Might be a rare case, but doing an honest review. Hoping to avoid potential problems for others.

Good service and communication. Smog check for my Mazda 2012 was $35 in total great price compared to other places and I didn't need a coupon. Place is located in a busy mechanic area and parking is tough since parking is shared. I went inside the Waiting area and noticed no office window was there, but the owner saw me on his security camera and came right out and greeted me and told me exactly where to park so my car can get tested.

This is my edited review. I misunderstood the price for my prius, I though it is $35 instead of $40. The service is quick and professional. I didn't happy with the price, but the technician keep it cool and respectful. He deserve a 5 star rating. Happy New Year!Service: Smog certificationService: Smog certification

Friendly and quick service are hallmarks of A1 Upland Smog. I will continue to use their services, and since they can handle title transfers when selling your car, I see myself as their customer for as long as I own a car.

Andrew was great. Had me in and out in less than 10 minutes! I called 3 shops in my area and they were about 70$ for a smog check. Andrew was almost half the price and you don't pay if you don't pass!Great place and I'll go again.

Incredible service, a really great family team running the business. I searched for a Pass or Don't Pay smog station, and they came as the most highly rated in the area, and let me tell you, the ratings are accurate. They take their time with you, answer all of your questions, and are quite helpful with ensuring that you meet the legal requirements for smog. Really Nice guy and fast! He will check your car before the actual smog test to see if it reaches requirements to test it. And if it s good he will run the test! Truly recommend this place for anyone who is afraid there car won t pass because he will actually help you out and not take your money. ANDREW is the BEST.

Before this place I went to one where my car didn't pass and they charged me 20 bucks! So i decided to check A1 after finding them on yelp. Thank God I I went to A1! It's great. My car got smoged super fast, the owner was very professional and polite. Wish I could give 10 stars. Telling everyone I know to go there! Thanks A1 keep up the great work!

Just drove up without appointment. I was able to get my car smogged for $60 and be on my way in about 30 minutes. I would not hesitate to bring my other vehicles here.

Wanted to smog my car and it didn t pass, the owner politely explained why my car failed and didn t charge me Anything!! Excellent honest service and was the cheapest quote I got for my minivan! Keep up the great work

Considered my "minivan" a truck so they charged $50 with cert. Seeing as there is no additional work with a newer car (no dyno work needed) this is a bit of a bait and switch in my opinion. I will keep that in mind next time...

This place is VERY hard to find (like every smog check place), so use Google Streetview to get an idea of the lot it occupies. But the service is incredibly professional and efficient, and they respect your time.
