Went in with no appt ,took about 45 minutes to get to window. Staff was friendly, but the clerk was new and had to get help to complete the boat stickers. Overall very good experience.

Great place. I was in and out in no time and the ladies were very helpful in assisting me in getting everything done. No lines, no crowds. It made it very easy.

Very bad customer service. Everytime I've come to this location I've always had bad service. Mostly with people not knowing how to do their job accordingly. So I came for a DMV print out and an ID for my 16 year old son. Got my print out and for his ID they told strep mom to fill out everything online knowing they have computers in the building. Then I had to come back because online accounts are for individuals not your whole family. I came back for the second time right before they closed and then after I filled everything on their computers, made me stand in line again just to get a number. After all that wasted time they told me I would have to come back because my address on my vehicle title was for my old address and they could not do anything else. They didn't let me get a bill from my vehicle for proof address because the DMV was already closed forcing me to come back another day. I've been to other DMVs and when you apply for something they give you the application and a number making things move faster unlike this location, they make you stand in line for an application and then come back for a number to be called upon, it would be more efficient if you just give us the number to be called upon when you asked for what ever you came in for to speed up the process. If you are the receptionist at the front door you should give options more clearly other than assuming that people know their options. People shouldn't have to ask how many ways there are to apply for a new ID.

Although needing to wait outside in the heat until my number was called,2 of the employees were gathering pertainent information from customers in line and providing our call number. One of the staff took individuals tempertures for fever,contactless and painless temp instrument.Time spent was total of 35 minutes. A sitting area would have rated 5 stars

Not happy, was there about 30 minutes and the driver license part was shut down because of the system. Probably overloaded giving illegals licenses with no ID'S!

The gentlemen that helped me renewal my license was very professional . I ve had many great experiences at the dmv recently .. from all of Southern California.. this place is the fastest .. short line & plenty of parking spaces . Too bad they ain t got one in yucca valley .. but I ll make a drive here just because they are friendly & swift .

They have improved the line processing and waiting area. Nice decorations on the walla, from Americana to donor promotion. Staff were all friendly and efficient. I'll go back next year!

So far one of the better DMVS I've gone to. It was a little busy, but the staff was sweet and helpful. It took about 30-45 min which is way better than having to wait hours at a time. I like that it's a smaller Dmv so its not overly crowded. All In all decent experience.

They recently remodel their waiting line system so much better than last year. And all the staff is very friendly and helpful counldnt ask for better.

Absolutely amazing. The staff are knoweldgeable and what I love the most is that when a issue arises they look for ways to work around the issue instead of just turning us away and saying no.

I was in & out in 15 minutes.I had two issues, andthe person who helped me was very friendly & knowledgeable.My issues were resolved.This was my third visit to this DMV, & everytime has been a positive experience.I highly recommend DMV inTwenty-Nine Palms.

I would rate this place 0 stars but I went in for a road test the lady that tested me dorin c will fail you if she is having a bad day I got failed for no reason what so ever i filed a complaint about it and her boss called me and told me i was dead wrong with incredible rudeness and was really unprofessional she insisted no instructor can give bad direction and that I was failed fully on bad abilities I have been practicing for 6 months with a school friends and family that all will confirm there is no way I should have failed. Moral of the story go to a different dmv for road test or you will not have a good time if they are not in a good mood.

Today was very pleasant visit. Quick in and out within 10 minutes.They have changed how you are delt with once you walk in the door. They are now automated with numbers and separated by categories.Much of a better experience going to the DMV!

It was an hour and a half wait outside in 100 + degrees. The staff was really great though. They had people outside checking everyone in and offering cold water if you wanted it. Everyone was exceptionally upbeat and accommodating. It was just hot standing inline for that long.

I had an effective and relatively painless experience here, renewing my driver's license. The people who helped me were polite and reasonable! I really appreciated the contrast with most of my experiences at DMVs. I made an appointment for 8am and I was finished in about 30 minutes.

Just in the few weeks it's been since I was last there they have completely re-vamped their customer care system. I had to re-new my license and take the written test again. I walked in, after the usual awesome greeting and quick run-down from the great security guard, stood in a line of 4 people for maybe 5 minutes, max. Then was directed to a touch screen application system. Quick and easy! I was actually grabbed by a worker that had no one to help, and re-directed to my next step, made my payment and took new photo, quick eye exam. Then on to take the test on touch screen, quick and easy... then another 5 minute wait, license and out the door. No long lines, no screaming kids, the workers were all very pleasant, and there was maybe 8-10 people in the lobby! Amazing transformation! God job 29 DMV!!

If you make an appointment, it's fast and easy. Highly recommend that. Otherwise, it will take forever.

They were quick and nice but camera was down so they were sending away any drivers license or ID application away so the long trip to the location was a waste of time hopefully they fix soon. Returned a few weeks later to get my driver's license real I'd version well I had all the paper work it said to bring but unfortunately website didn't mention or I didn't see a part that stated mail had to have both mailing and physical address on them how everything is e statements and all I hardly get anything like that in the mail. So I have to pay for my license and pay again when I get a real ID ....... But other then that they were nice and helpful. received drivers licenses quick. Still a little upset I couldn't do everything in one shot. 3 trips to the DMV and I should be set hopefully

Very efficient. I had made an appointment which was cancelled due to covid. Received a text message with a new appointment time when DMV reopened. Appointment was at 9 am for license renewal and real ID. I was in and out in 17 minutes. Staff was very courteous. Be sure to make an appointment because I heard others complain about having to wait outside in line. Appointment is key to satisfaction!

With everything going on these people deserve major credit for what they do. Staff went above and beyond to ensure safest and promptest service possible. Have a good system set up for covid precautions. Thank you for making my visit to the DMV quick and easy. Everyone was friendly.

They are doing their best and making sure people wear masks and stay 6ft apart. You do have to line up outside but it was in the shade while I was there. Took me about 90 minutes to renew my license.

The DMV, 29 Palms was quite an adventure and a joyful place, it started with a simple DL renewal on Friday afternoon, and after failing my first attempt, and learning you only get three tries before you have to pay for your 4th only after a 2 week waiting period. the pressure was on, enjoying the risk I attempted the second test and pasted I was so relieved wile signing my temporary license and sharing my joy I set my cell phone down and forgot it until well after the DMV closed. So what I liked best about my experience at the 29 Palms was they shared my joy of passing my 2nd test, and my joy of recovering my phone they put away in a safe place till I picked it up Monday, Thank you Palms DMVI appreciate it...

This DMV really needs to sort themselves out. I've been here four times in the last month and a half and every time I come here it seems like only two people are working aside from the security guard. Sounds like they all take their lunch at the same time too( which is idiotic when there's so many people waiting to be helped.) I've had to wait for 4 hours before I finally got to a window. Today I had an appointment at 11:20 and I didn't get to a window until about noon (again, with an APPOINTMENT). The only good thing about this place that I've noticed is how positive the security guard is. He does a pretty good job of trying to keep people in a good mood regardless of their long wait. I can understand things going slow if there's a lot of people but The staff behind the counter seen careless of how long they make people wait and there just isn't enough staff.

Overall, I had a very brief and nice visit to the DMV to replace my driver's license.Due to Covid-19, there are some strict regulations in place but they are very friendly and helpful. It was very easy to get in and out.I highly recommend getting there when they open if you are unable to make an appointment as the line seemed to fill very quickly.Bear in mind that, right now, you have to line up outside and wait for your number to be called.

Fast, easy, friendly, and efficient. Exceeds expectations of a typical DMV visit by far. No masking policy, but dividers at service counters and regular disinfecting contribute to health and safety.

I would like to say that the DMV is well organized in this time of this pandemic it's not a very long wait they're ,there's several people that are outside helping people get their stuff together to go in and I would say that this was a very easy process so don't not be afraid to go to DMV it's not as bad as people think. I would have given them 10 stars thank you for your service. Be safe

The best DMV in Southern California, maybe even the world. The staff here is incredible and everything goes smooth and painless. Thank you Twentynine Palms DMV!!!
