Purrfect Auto has been my go to auto shop for more than 10 years. I can always trust their evaluation of any issues and honest pricing, both for repairs and maintenance. The mechanics have been working there for long time. David the owner would send me texts to make sure everything goes well. I feel like a family member to Purrfect Auto.

David and his crew really did an awesome job with my Tacoma. They used OEM parts and they communicate with you every step of the process including photos. I wish I could give these guys a negative star. Went there few month ago to fix a gear, change oil and new battery on my car. They charged me for everything and the labor. However new battery (the battery for my car:very expensive) they never put a new battery. Not only that, they also broke my center console. I trusted you guys as a professional to do a proper job! What if someone come to change their old brakes and you guy never replace it!? Do you see the problem here? Your mistake could cost someone their life. Mine is just a battery but this could happen to a worser situation. Spoke to the manager but it is taking him a months to get back to me about this! Why!? I dont get it. How is this not a straight forward answer!? (Edited: 3 months or so passed: forget about an apology, they told me we will not refund your money) I'm very disappointed. Very dishonest people. Don't trust these guys. And take your business somewhere else. These guys definitely not worth it.

I brought Audi A4 2009 to Purrfect Auto due to Engine Light error.I showed Russell the report I generated via an OBDII device. Russell made it clear that based on the report I showed him, the cost might reach $3K.In two working days, Russell called me to give me the good news.The car was in perfect condition and he just did a basic cleaning and maintenance, and no more Engine Check error light whatsoever.Had Russell lied and asked for a couple of thousands for fixing the car, I would have believed him and I have paid the fake cost. The car came from outside CA I needed to do a SMOG check transfer it to my name.However, in the era of deception, honest people like Russell still exist.On top of his honestly, Russell is a very kind human being. His sense of humor is second to none.

When I dropped the car off, for them to check an oil leak, they never mentioned anything about the cost of the inspection. Then, they said that it costs $35 to get my car. The guy said that the drop off guy forgot to have me sign that, but I have to pay if i want my keys back. They didn't find the oil leak and I'm not convinced they even put it on the lift. I heard they often don't do anything and just try to get money out of customers.I'd highly recommend going nextdoor to Midas, who does completely free inspections. As for us, we're definitely going to do a credit card charge back to get our money back.Plus, the customer service was terrible. The lady in front of me was dropping her car off, and they said she had to wait around for an hour or so. She pressed for a more specific time, then the guy went back to talk to the mechanic and when he came out, he said they couldn't get to it for two days. So he was going to have her wait for an hour or so, just to tell her they can't even look at it that day.Front desk guy was really rude. They definitely need to work on being upfront and honest.

I've always been a, "If you want it fixed right, do it yourself," person. My wife convinced me to give Purrfect Auto an opportunity and I don't regret it. This shop has always treated me professionally and honestly--even when the news isn't the best. I have no qualms at all bringing my vehicles to them.There have been times I've had questions and they are always very willing to explain and discuss a mutually acceptable understanding.Services: Auto water leak repair, General repairs & maintenance, Transmission repair, Air conditioning

I used Purrfect auto service initially in 2016. I was happy with their service but didn't go back since I did all my services at the dealership. The dealership started charging more and more, and recommending more and more to do. At the point that I thought I'd rather buy a new car. I then remembered my past experience with Purrfect at Tustin. I brough my car in. They charged me only 1/3 of what dealership quoted. Plus, they did a great job. David, the owner is very keen in check with my experience and in following up on my needs. They are an honest and trustworthy business. I will bring all my cars to their place from now on. Engine & transmission codes on my daughter's 2015 Ford Focus so we went to Puffect Auto for help. Luckily, we bought a 3-year extended warranty when we got the Focus 2 1/2 years ago. Focus needed new battery and transmission. David worked with the 3rd party warranty company and they covered the max ($2,000) of the transmission rebuild cost. Purrfect Tustin did a great job and the Focus is running like new. Purrfect provides a 2 year/24-month warranty on the rebuild so that is great too.Services: Transmission repair, Battery

First time oil change was 40, then next time its was already 70, maybe because there was no supervisor atmAnyway, i asked about transmission fluid, mechanics said what they will check and add if needed, as they said they added fluid till level, but in the evening my cars transmission dead in the middle of the road on high speed, now my R gear not working, my 1,2 gears not working too and i has check engine, on the next day i got to their service again and tell them about it and they said its just a coincidence , and the only option is new transmission lol, i dont know what they do with my ford - but its was last time i was there

I took my car for service which included replacement of a cv boot. A piece that connects the transmission to the wheel. Since the car was originally from Utah the cv boot was hard to take out and in the process they hit the transfer case so hard that it cracked. Understandable that they had to use force to pry it out but not to the point of cracking the transfer case. I did not know about the cracked transfer case at first, when I brought it back, I noticed the car leaking oil. I called the owner and he had excuses and said the leak was not there before and did everything not to take on any responsibility.I found out about the leak when I took it to a different mechanic and he asked for who worked on this and when, and to take it back for them to replace it as for sure they cracked it. It will take $2400 to replace the cracked transfer case as it involves $1700 worth of labor. Purrfect Auto Service kept my car for a month, charged quite bit of money and extra 200 because the cv boot was stuck and returned my car damaged. Avoid them at all cost.It was a 2011 Toyota Sienna. 9/28/2020I have been going to this place for several years now and must say they are honest and knowledgeable. I recently went to them due to AC not working and David, the owner calls me saying nothing is wrong with your AC. I refused to except that answer and asked David to double triple check which he said he will. After several calls and David telling me nothing is wrong with my AC, I finally accepted what he told me after coming down to pickup the vehicle and David showed me it was a simple switch in the car that now AC working perfectly. I must say I felt so bad not believing that nothing was wrong. I could of been taken advantage of very easily but David did not do that. If you want honest auto repair service then I highly recommend this place. Thank you David for taking such good care of my vehicle.Service: Air conditioning

Got oil change in a little over an hour. They were quick and friendly. I had stopped by the next door Midas place who said it would be all day long for the service. I walked next door to Purrfect and they took me in immediately. They mentioned to me about the oil pan drain plug being stripped and about the possibility of having to replace it all (a big job) if they couldn't get it out. Made me nervous that they were trying to pull one over on me as I'd never been there before. But they got it out and replaced the drain plug for free. I recommend this place. They are honest! Thank you!

Went there for an oil change today. Made an appointment last week but needed to push it back a couple hours due to some work issues. Texted my situation two days before my appointment and the owner accommodated me! When I finally went in, Russell provided stellar customer service and had my car done in no time! These guys are professional and put your mind at ease leaving your car with them, will definitely go back!

They are nice but if u really need your car fixed and not just charged for them to do nothing then I'd take your car somewhere else. Also when I picked my car up it was raining and they had all my windows rolled down with my car sitting out in the rain.

"Fast, Honest, Great Service"I started taking my car to Purrfect Auto 6 months ago and have nothing but great things to say about them. They are such a breath of fresh air compared to the dealership service departments. They are accommodating with fast turnarounds, fair in their pricing and don't suddenly find mysterious problems that didn't seem to be there when the car was brought in. Love Jim and Dave - both have been so gracious to both me and my 20 year old daughter who needed quick service before returning to school. I highly recommend Purrfect Auto for all your service needs.

I bought new tires here and they weee cheaper than Costco! Costco doesn t even do the alignment and this was included in the cost. Updating my review. I trusted them and they tried to take advantage of me. Quoted THOUSANDS for a repair. Because it was so much, I took the car to the dealership for a second opinion. The car dealership said the car was fine, just need to replace my wheel. No extensive damage at all.Will never trust purrfect auto again. Will never go back

My appointment for several things car related was handled in a timely and professional manner Saturday 27 June.~Jim, Dave, and their employees made me feel as though my needs were their ultimate goal and that is rare these days. They also made certain I got all the monthly discounts that applied -- including a AAA discount --and, no one tried to 'up-sell' me, which I greatly appreciate. I will be returning, most assuredly.

Took my car to Midas right next door to Purrfect Auto Care because it wouldn't go in to gear. The shop manager at Midas refused to work on my car saying it's too hard of a job since they have to work on a part underneath the steering wheel. I was basically told the same thing at another shop next door called Irvine Auto Care. Eventually Took it next door to Purrfect Auto Care and they had the car ready the next day. They were honest and charged me a fair price for a job that Midas and Irvine Auto Care refused without even really looking at anything or listening to the issue. Purrfect Auto Care was professional, honest, fair and quick. They are five star in my book.

I am very grateful for Purrfect Auto. When I take my car in for an oil change they always keep me updated on the status of my car. By using one repair shop I always have a record and a relationship with my car. My car is 22 years old and runs like new.

I took my car to Purrfect Auto for a tune up, spark plug replacement, and a brake bulb replacement. After I picked up the vehicle, the brake light alert on the dash was still on and the brake bulb stayed on all the time. I returned to the shop immediately after I picked up the vehicle. They told me to bring my car back.I went back the next business day, and they wanted to charge me to diagnose the electrical problem. I told them that the problem was created by their actions, repairs and workmanship. But, they insisted they needed to get paid for their time. They had my car there and looked at it when they replaced the bulb, so I don't understand why I should be charged again. The problem didn't exist when I took my car in, so I didn't agree to pay for diagnosing it again.I filed a complaint with BCA against them. They responded that they had performed the task asked of them and that there might have been an issue with the electrical system or the light housing that is causing the bulbs to burn out. They also lied that they had suggested to replace the bulb for free again, and they mentioned that I had misunderstood what they had said. I was never offered to have any bulbs replaced again free of charge or to determine if there was an electrical problem. If they had offered that, I would have taken the offer and would not have put a complaint in.In the meantime, I took the car to another mechanic who told me that the wrong type of bulb was installed by Purrfect Auto. The new shop also found that the connector to the light assembly had gotten broken in the first place! The new shop replaced those for free! This is very poor and sloppy workmanship on Purrfect Auto's part. I will never go back to them. Caveat Emptor.Services: Electrical, Auto engine tuning, Oil change

Just goes to show you how a business can go down.I made appointment in good faith, dropped my car off the night before with assurance that mine would be first the next morning.I called at 10;30 am the next day and was told that the work had not yet begun. The reason sited for no work performed was a call that was supposed made to me, with a message left.That was a bold faced lie. No call was made, no message was left. When the owner finally called ;me and left a message, there was no glitch.There were other self-serving, manipulative false statements that were made to me.I cannot and will not have dealings with people who are not honorable.I picked my car up, and took it else where the next day. My entire morning and part of that afternoon were utterly wasted. And, of course, the time the following day too.No price is cheap enough, no job is good enough, to be subjected to people who do not prioritize integrity.It is sad to me that Jim is no longer running the place. I knew that I could always trust him, for years.I will never take any of my cars there again.

I had an excellent experience with Purrfect Auto in Tustin. I am new to SoCal and was looking for a locally-owned auto shop with good reviews, preferably affiliated with AAA and the Better Business Bureau. Purrfect Auto checked all those boxes.I made an appointment two days ahead and they got me in on time, which was nice. I had budgeted two hours for my service, which was a "AAA Road Trip Ready Package," including a full-synthetic oil change, tire rotation, fluid top-off and standard vehicle inspection. It took exactly one hour and I was out the door. Pretty good deal, too. About $72 for that service, which is totally fair.The waiting area was okay. If it was busy I would have maybe walked elsewhere, but their front desk was manned by a friendly man who was a pleasure to speak with. They also have free wifi, so I streamed Netflix while I waited. The man who completed my service was friendly too and seemed to do a really good job. They recommended only one additional maintenance, which was a new air filter. My car is two years old, so I am sure that's true. I declined as I can do that myself, but they did not recommend services that I did not need, which is nice because I have been to auto shops who do that for extra money. I believe they are trustworthy.Overall I am very happy with my experience and will continue to use Purrfect Auto. I highly recommend them!

Have been brought my car for oil change to Purrfect Auto for sometimes now. Recently had my car for oil change and 60 points inspection for reasonable price. Then had to replace rear brake and the job was performed on time. My car runs smooth now. Thank you for a good service.
