How long do you have? I could write a book about how many times the people at Mountain View have literally SAVED me. Today was NO exception. My son has a leased 2021 Toyota Camry but he's out of the country serving in the military so I maintain his car while he's away. The driver's side window would lag coming back up and eventually stopped going up all the way. Last week I took the car to Robert at Mountain View and he was able to help me pull the window up and he suggested I take it to the dealer because it's under a lease, to see if the warranty would cover it. After all, the car is a 2021 Camry. This should not be happening. So, today I had an appointment at Tustin Toyota. I had called to make the appointment 2 days ago and the person I spoke with at Tustin Toyota would not tell me over the phone whether or not it was a warranty item. They said I HAD to bring the car in to be looked at before they'd say if it was a regular warranty item. That makes no sense to me, but begrudgingly, I made the trek over there today. When I arrived at Tustin Toyota for my appointment, the service writer didn't even attempt to try the window to see what the problem was. Instead he told me I'd have to pay $198 to have them diagnose the problem. He then told me if it wasn't covered by the warranty, and that it most likely wasn't due to the mileage, it would be upwards of $1200 to repair. All WITHOUT even trying to roll the window up and down. And why couldn't he just tell me if it was a covered warranty item? Of course, the $198 would be put towards the repair, should I agree to the $1200+ cost. Well, I'm not a village idiot so I declined that offer and told him I'd be taking the car to my own mechanic (Mountain View). I then drove straight to Mountain View and walked in to find Robert there, ready and willing (as always) to be of service. His first action was to grab a can of WD40 and walk to my car and squirt it into the window rails. And VOILA! All is well! All it took was a mechanic who actually knows what he's doing, who cares about his customers, and who isn't out to steal our money.***I highly recommend Mountain View Tires in Tustin for pretty much any repair on ANY car.***I especially recommend, and commend, Robert for always being professional, courteous and capable. In 55 years, I've never had better service ANYWHERE. He could have easily charged me to replace a part that wasn't even broken, like the dealer was going to do, but he didn t. He diagnosed and addressed the problem honestly and quickly and I am forever grateful that he is there. Give that man a raise! Best employee ever! Oh, and avoid the dealer whenever you can. They clearly don't care about the customer more than the almighty dollar. After all, the dealer service writers work on commission, so why wouldn't they want to gouge the customer? Take your car to Mountain View. Trust me, if they can't fix it, they'll help direct you to someone who can. Mountain View has helped me and many of my friends and neighbors. I promise you'll be happy at Mountain View.

Friendly, honest, and thorough. I went with the Cooper tires- buy 3 get 1 free! Of course I got the alignment done too. The cabin filter was really dirty so they reaplced that with my authorization. They took photos of all the work and diagnostics and provided a full and compete report at the end of the service. I've been going here for 10 years.

I've used Mountain View a couple of times in the past for various maintenance or repair needs, and they've always done a fine job. However, my most recent interaction with them was above and beyond, so I felt compelled to actually write a review. I got a very good deal deal ordering tires straight from Goodyear via USAA, and scheduled to have them delivered to Mountain View to do the install. I showed up on the day/time I selected via Goodyear's site, but the tires hadn't been delivered yet. Robert told me this has happened before, and he immediately started calling his suppliers to see if the tires were available locally so they could still get me in that day. Keep in mind, I didn't purchase the tires from Mountain View, I just paid Goodyear for them to do the installation. Long story short, Robert went out of his way to track down my tires and get me scheduled for another time, even though he wasn't obligated to do anything other than wait for them to show up and perform the installation. That's customer service, and another reason why I'll continue to be a customer.

Robert and Jeff were wonderful! I trust them implicitly. And while normally getting tires and brakes is a pain, they make it easy and, if you can believe it, enjoyable!

I have been bringing all of family s cars here for tires for years. They are always very friendly, do a great job and have very reasonable prices. I want to thank Jeff for his help last weekend getting me flat fixed and coordinating with my tow company when I couldn t personally be present!

I came to them to replace position crank sensors. These guys screwed me over. They replaced my position crank sensors with cheap after market parts instead of a dealership parts. The car is giving me the same issue I had before I went to them. Never trusting these guys or doing business with them. Wish I could give them a zero

These guys are so knowledgeable, caring and legit!!! I got a nail on my tire as I was driving close by to the shop...a day before my road trip. And I definitely wasn't ready to spend tons of money for tires so I was in shock. Jeff was very thorough in explaining what I really needed, and the value and importance of getting proper tires, while Robert helped me to find the best way to save some extra $ and lessen my stress during the stressful moment. They handled my car right away and I got to drive off with brand new tires (which I actually needed)...which were a huge peace of mind as I head to a trip.On the side note, we got struck by a evening thunder on the way back home from the trip. What a pleasant surprise that all the stress of getting the nail and getting brand new tires the day before our trip seemed as if we got to prepare for the weather and got us back home safely! "Big man upstairs" definitely helped us with this one ;)

I had an engine light come on on a sat afternoonThey got it diagnosed and went to work right away. Had to chase down the part and have it shipped in. Offered me a ride to where I was staying. Had the car done by Tues morning. Very expense job but seems it would have cost the same anywhere else. Sister's family has used this shop for years. All staff members I had contact with were very helpful and pleasant.

Bought two tires from this place, both tires ended up having leaky valves within months of each other. One of them unfortunately wouldn t hold air at a very bad time and I had to change the time late at night on my birthday with many guests that disrupted plans. Gave them the choice to make things right the following day when I needed it to be fixed asap (its only a 25min job) and they chose not to. Friendly people here but I d recommend other places with better quality work and customer service so you don t end up stranded multiple times and having to pay extra to fix spotty work in the first place.

They gave me a laundry list of items needing repair (I expect this from all mechanics). However, one of the repairs was related to wear on tires and needing new struts.I am not an expert but upon my inspection I don't believe they were being honest. I don't see any cupped or scalloped dips on my tires.I will get a second opinion and this issue and modify this post accordingly but my trust is broken for now.Edit: I got a second opinion. I do not have any strut issues. Sadly, as advisers I've lost faith in their recommendations. I get the need for sales and business but honestly etc should be of higher value to gain return customers.

I had a great experience, Robert was attentive and very understanding of my situation. I had previously gone to 3 different mechanic locations and all had a long wait or close.I was press for time. Robert assured that he would have my tire patched as soon as possible and like that the wait was less than 40 min in compare to other location that would take hours.I would definitely recommend this place. Also the other location were charging $45 for a patched tired. Which idk to be honest but it was a bit excessive for me. Paid less with Robert! :)

I went in for an oil change and Pete and the other employee at the front were friendly and personable. They were also honest about what services my car needed. I felt welcomed here and my car was ready to go in a couple hours. Highly recommend this place for car services!

Used this company for the first time yesterday, after driving past it a million times. They fixed my tire, which had a slow leak, very fast, very affordable, with no hassle, no upselling. Pete was very helpful! Highly recommend!

If you are a WOMAN, DO NOT come to this shop!!! They completely take advantage of you here. I wish I could give them 0 stars.Their communication is nonexistent and they will charge you more than at the dealership!!!I had the worst experience here and will not be returning. I m truly disappointed and am disgusted that a shop still operates in this sexist manner.I was quoted one price and when I had a man call in to get a quote he got a completely different (way lower) price.***BTW (as seen in other comments)Their response of have a blessed day is essentially a F You! is true. I was so flabbergasted at the audacity.

Despite making an appointment ahead of time and telling the front desk multiple times that I needed my car back the same day, they attempted to keep my car overnight without my knowledge. I didn't get any notification at all during the day, and at closing time I was getting worried that I hadn't heard anything from the shop, so I called them and was informed that they decided to keep my car overnight. I needed my car that night to drive to LAX for a multi-week trip. The shop ended up having to keep a mechanic overtime to get the tire fixed. I'm grateful they were willing to work over closing time to get the work done before my trip, but I'm incredibly frustrated that this had to happen.

This team is genuine and knowledgeable. I came to get a second quote for an item my car dealer recommended needed attention. It turns out it was normal wear and had plenty of life left. These guys saved me about $700 had I got this taken care of at the car dealership. They were also able to recommend tires at a reasonable price but I had already ordered some elsewhere. I would definitely return here for an alignment or other service. Thanks guys!

Came in with a spare on my car. Needed to get my tire patched. I showed up at opening, and they were able to get it done within an hour and a half! They did an excellent job and were very friendly at the desk. When I came to pick up the car, they had put the spare back into my trunk and nicely arranged everything back into its place! Great value for $35! Thank you!

Brought my car here to get new tires (bought somewhere else) mounted and balanced 3 years ago and had great service. Just brought it in because one tire had a slow leak. Called ahead to let them know i was coming, they took it back and patched the puncture at no charge. The guy there was nice (forgot his name, woops) and was taken care of right away. Definitely recommend the place for great service and customer care.

I made an appointment online via the website for Sunday afternoon, January 15th. I received confirmation for Tustin MV Tires for a tire rotation and oil change. The confirmation was texted to my phone. I arrived early and it's confusing to determine where the MV tires office is because they share a lot with Big O Tires and with a car wash. But, first I had to find parking. On a rainy Sunday afternoon, there wasn't one parking space available. I stopped to ask the mechanic guy where I can park and he said in the rudest way possible "just park right there!" (there, indicating in themiddle of the driveway, blocking other cars from getting through). I had to ask where the office was because there's no sign. I went inside an unmarkedoffice and the person at the desk named Pete asked if I had an appointment. I said yes, that I made one online. He rudely says "we don't accept appointments made online on Sundays." I didn't say anything nor was I rude to him like he was to me. He told me to take a seat. The couple he was helping left. 1 person comes in, he helps them, they leave. I wait some more. He's all alone and doesn'tacknowledge me in any way whatsoever. I know he can see me because I'm in his line of sight and I'm the only person in the teeny tiny cramped waiting room. 10 mins goes by and still nothing. I finally ask him if i can check in now? He says to me in an irritated condescending voice that he's "busy doing things and will get to me when he's ready." I say okay. Another person comes in and he so graciously helps them. They leave and I'm still sitting there, no acknowledgement, still no check in. My appointment time is approaching and still nothing (I arrived at 2 pm and my appointment time thatI made online was at 2:30 pm). I notice on the glass door a phone number for customer service and I stand up, gather my things, and leave. I get in my car and callLakewood MV Tires. Jeff at Lakewood was so gracious and helpful and said to bring it over, even though it's 2:30 pm and they close at 4 pm. On top of the fantastic service at Lakewood, they have a NORMAL-sized lobby (that's not old looking, dingy, and super cramped) and also offer complimentary wifi. Pete at Tustin MV Tires does not represent your company well, but Jeff at Lakewood MV Tires does.

I have gone to this shop for years and have always been happy with their service.... NOT ANY MORE! I took my vehicle in for an oil filter and oil change and they informed me that my tires were worn and needed to be replaced. They had put that set on. When they pulled the paperwork, we found out that it was 10,000 miles ago (on a minivan- not a high performance vehicle). Their explanation was that they didn't realize it was a modified van (for a wheelchair) and weighed more so bigger tires should have been used. Their mistake is my problem. They were "willing" to give me a discount of $250 on a new set, but of course advised me that I needed new struts, alignment, brake fluid now (in other words let's jack the price up to make up for their "discount"). Can't trust them on the tires, why would I trust them on the repairs? Find a new repair place!!
