I have had cars in shops a few times in my life, and my experience with Alfred Matthews was by far the best. I was in a collision and my entire front bumper and right wheel panel had to be replaced, as well as the washer fluid tank, fog light, and lots of other smaller things. I used the Modesto location, and Ricardo was very pleasant to work with. They took care of my car - and me, and I highly recommend them.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I took my 2016 Mercedes in for repair. The receptionist was very helpful and professional, Heather was absolutely wonderful. She communicated with me throughout the whole process and made my experience with Alfred Mathew s a wonderful exp. My car came out looking like new. I absolutely recommend Alfred Mathew s they are great.

My husband and I were hit by another car that caused significant damage to body of our car. We didn't have a place we trusted so we asked the insurance company they suggested 3 places and we decided to go with Alfred Matthew's Collision Center. We are so grateful we did! The whole thing went very smoothly and we were kept updated through all of it. Heather went above and beyond, she is very friendly and helpful. There was a mix up with the rental car shuttle that was supposed to pick me up and as soon as Heather noticed I was still waiting she immediately called to have them come over right away so I could get to work. She even took steps to make sure that the mix up doesn't happen in the future. Heather called the next day to let us know that there was additional damage under everything and the parts had been ordered. She confirmed I had got into a rental ok and said that she was notifying the insurance company and the car rental with the expected time frame so we didn't have to make any of the calls. The text updates they sent were very helpful, it was nice to see that they were staying on track so we didn't have to worry. We got the car on the expected day, it looks great! It's as if there was never any damage. They even vacuumed out the inside and wiped down everything which was a pleasant surprise. It was in desperate need of a detailing but it hadn't happened due to COVID. It now looks cleaner than it has in a long time. We will definitely bring our cars here if it's ever needed in the future...hopefully it's not though, haha.

10/10 STARS. Blake with his luxurious locks and Golden Goddess Heather had my car fixed in a jiffy. My Subaru was practically totaled, thanks to Heather and Blake my car looks brand new. Thanks for doing the lords work. Happy Turkey Day!

Cold call walk in; went there for a quote for some body work for my baby and I received one in less than 20 mins even though I didn't have an appointment. Had my son with me and it was a hot day. They have a nice waiting room with refreshments that we appreciated. Front desk worker was very nice to my son which I appreciated I am still waiting for quotes from other places in the area. Don't bother just go here first!

Took my front wrecked pick up truck. Got it back. Within a week problems started to surface. They re used the bent rim and put it in the opposite wheel. Reused the same wheel (bad) bearing. After ibtook it to the mechanic most parts where from a juckyard and not new. I will never take any car to them.

Alfred Matthews collision, arranged with Turlock city tow to pick my car up from the Sacramento international airport to be towed to their facility, and was given a promise completion date a week from the date I dropped it off, and to their word, they completed the repair, and had it cleaned prior to me picking up. Service was exceptional and they delivered on their promise. Alford Matthews also communicated directly with my farmers insurance and provided me with a detailed description (breakdown) of both the time and material needed to complete the repair. I could not have asked for anything more.

Poor communication with customers regarding the date of completion of the vehicle. I was told vehicle woul not be done until possibly next week or 30 days however, was completed on a Friday, I was iut of town for the qeekend and coyod not pick up my car, presented numerius problems for the Insurance and rental vehicle, due to insurance did not want to cover extra 3 days since the car was completed on a Friday and I did not return in town until Sunday evening from a trip and returned the car Monday morning.No defined date of completion fir the vehicle to its customers vreates a problem and a hassle between the customer, rental car business and insurance company. I do not recommend this place to anyone due to the poor communication and service.Service: Painting

The shop was great and our estimator Ricardo was too! He was very informative, courteous, kind, and professional. They took care of our Jeep as if it was their own! The repairs were completed as promised on time as well. There were two dings outside the damage area of the same door (using insurance for the repairs) and forgot to ask how much it would be to take care of those too at the same time. When I picked up, I immediately noticed the dings were gone! I asked Ricardo to let him know I forgot to ask how much it would be and he said the tech took care of them and cleaned up the panel for us for no additional charge since they weren t that bad anyways I would highly recommend, repairs turned out great, and the color match was spot on for a seamless repair! Can t even tell it was ever damaged!!!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

They repaired our 2008 Avalon and it looks brand new. They were considerate and kept us informed each time there was difficulty in securing items needed to complete repairs. The folks at Alfred Matthew are what anyone who works in a public facing position should aspire to. All were kind and helpful, but especially Heather. Even when I made an absolutely foolish mistake involving a phone number switch I was met with compassionate consideration. I hope to never find myself in another Final Destination-esque situation like what brought me to to Alfred Matthew a in the first place but if I do I will gladly be returning.

The Alfred Matthews in Modesto was very good about communicating with us, got our car back when they said, and treated us with the decency one would expect from a place of business. Because they were booked a month out, we made the mistake of taking our car to Turlock hoping for the same experience. We were told our car would be ready on Friday, given text updates and a link to follow the progress that all told us our expected pickup time. When we arrived, our car was not ready. They acted as though it was our responsibility to call them to find out if there had been any delay and whether or not it was ready. After I pointed out that we had used the tools they gave us that all said our car was on schedule, the man we spoke with told us that they were unable to update those tools to accurately reflect any unforeseen delays. Miraculously, they were able to update it immediately after we left and able to update it again today to a later time after my husband called to confirm that "no" again our car is not ready when they said. We were also told that he would speak to his manager about what they could do to fix the inconvenience of not informing us that our repairs would take another 5 days and costing us a wasted trip and effort. Apparently all they could do was once again push the completion time making another inconvenient scheduling issue for us. This business does not seem to value honesty or their customers' time.

Was hit on the freeway and insurance recommended me to Alfred Matthews. I was told they will contact me the next day or so.I waited over a week and a half and received no call back, no answer, and no communication from Alfred Matthews. I reached out to my insurance and took my business elsewhere. If you cannot communicate with me, you don't need my business.Service: Body & Trim

If you value your time, your vehicle, or your life DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. My car was here for two weeks to repair damage from a low speed accident. Upon pickup, my hood was not bolted down properly. Alarming, right? It gets worse. Almost every single light on my dash was on. According to Eddie, the service advisor, he personally called the dealership and they said "to drive it around for a couple days and they should turn off". Should? TPMS, ABS, steering, and a flashing alert to CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM, and they SHOULD turn off? My only options according to him were to leave it there for a few days, bring it back if it doesn't go away, or take it to Honda. Why would I take a car FROM A REPAIR FACILITY DIRECTLY TO ANOTHER REPAIR FACILITY?!? This makes no sense.My husband (who is a mechanic) found out when we got home that none of the electrical system had been reattached to the battery, the air filter housing hadn't been bolted down NOR REATTACHED and had to go out and buy hoses ourselves, as they were then closed. There was also a box full of bolts and pieces in my trunk, and who knows where those belong. They did not reattach nor drill holes for the front license plate holder. All in all this has been an awful experience.This has been a headache and will continue to be one for some time as things are still being uncovered that were done improperly. Save time and frustration and go elsewhere. UPDATE: almost three months later we're fighting these guys to pay for the rental car I had to use while my mechanic (not my spouse) fixed $1700+ (!!!) worth of work they didn't do. Total rip off. This place is shadier than shady. Stay away.
