First-time customer, my parents have been coming here for years. I had a breakdown and called them. They said I could bring my car over as soon as possible. Nathan was attentive and wrote down my story and details of what happened. After my approval of repairs, he explained in detail what the issue was in a way I understood and how they repaired it. This will be my future place for all repairs and fixes. They are honest and professional. I left feeling confident with their work.

Went to get a work van looked at, reasonable rate for diagnosis.Options were given with the possible issues that were causing the problem.Shop was large with a few bays.Inside was clean and neat.Would go again with any other transmission issues.

I had my Lexus transmission rebuilt by Al's and it has never run correctly since. I brought it in three times with the same problem under warranty and was told nothing was wrong, and that it was the fuel filter. After replacing the filter it still has issues when on a grade such as the Altamont pass, it slips, bucks and jerks on hills. The warranty has since expired although I have not exceeded the mileage on the warranty, leaving me with a car I cannot drive out of the valley .I am NOT happy with the service I received and would not recommend this shop to anyone. I paid over $3,000 and expect better than this, Al doesn t listen to his customers or care what happens after you pay, He doesn t stand behind his work. They refused to check my car out even after I notified the Bureau of Automotive Repair.I just had a reputable shop check my transmission and it need replacement, $2500 to $3000 for a rebuild. It has a pressure loss problem and is losing reverse gear. I can't believe Al's will not help out a customer when something like this happens, I'm sure this doesn't happen to every customer but it has happened to me and only Al's is responsible. If they had taken the time and listened to me this would not be posted. BTW, Al, it still has not thrown any error codes. I hope this saves someone else the frustration of having to deal with a shop that doesn't stand behind their work.

I have no idea how this company is still in business. They are HORRIBLE. My bf and I took his Honda to see why the check engine light was on and one of the mechanics, (I think he is the owner) told me that it was two things. One a sensor and the other a shiftter cable. He said to fix the cable he could try to adjust it or replace it for $145 and then replace the sensor for $340 or so. I asked him, if he did both replacements would the car then pass smog. He said. "I don't know if it will work or not."How are you a mechanic if you don't know if a repair will fix the car?So I told him to try just the cable. I NEVER SAID REPLACE IT. He said he would call me back.When he called me back he said that there was not enough cable to adjust, so he would replace it.I picked up the car a week later, the lady who works in the office said that I owed them $145.I asked her if he replaced the cable and she said no.??????Then why are you charging me $145? It should of been the original diagnosing fee of $95.Then he had the nerve to tell me he was only charging me half of what he usually charges people!!!!!I will never go to this shop again. They have screwed over many people and many more to come.I filed a claim wit the Better Business Bureau. I hope you all do the same.Not only was I left with a car that is still broken, but also with a sour taste left in my mouth because of Al's Transmissions horrible customer service and bad attitudes.

Need to work on attitude. And provide good customer service for the front desk. I came genuinely for my car to be checked and payed but when i had them say nothing is wrong when clearly something was wrong. I had to tell the guy front desk if i can come back if anything else goes wrong. And he said yes after arguing with me that nothing is wrong and when i came back because something came up. The person in the front desk gave huge attitude. Like if you don't want to provide good customer service than why are you there. Also the lady in the front desk gave me cup of water without mask. Im sorry but safety is first. Seem like they don't care. And trust me i won't be back thank you.

I am extremely happy with the work performed on my vehicles I have sent to Al s Transmission. I have had Al work on all of my trucks. From rebuilding my transmission to completely installing a new engine in my Chevy Silverado. I have felt that Al has always been fair with me and has given me discounts where ever he can.The most important part is the good advice that he offers. He educates me on what is going on with my vehicle and how I can do repairs today that will help prevent me from having bigger problems in the future.Al has always made sure that I knew what my costs would be before proceeding with the repairs. It s so nice to have someone you can trust in the automotive repair business.

Al s Transmission worked with me on my problem in my car. Your service was great and you were a great person to do business with. You told me everything you had to do before you started and what was going to be done. You went out of your way to find parts for my older car. I was treated very well. Your work is the best in town and I appreciated the service you gave me.

I had Al s Transmission work on my truck for me. The cost was very reasonable and we got several problems fixed the same time. We ended up selling the car at Car Max and got a ton of money for it. I really appreciate all your work, no doubt it helped in the reselling of the truck.

They do their jobs in a timely manner, and they are very good at what they do. The shop & offices are spotless, that reflects on everyone! When I went to pick up my car, it was ready to go and running perfectly. Great job all around.

Our experience with Al has always been great. We have been treated with respect and they are very professional. Any work done to our vehicles has been done with quality and no problems have occurred after the service.

I was extremely satisfied with my service. I do however feel the price I paid should have reflected it. Good job overall I wish oil prices and labor were cheaper. Keep up the good work.

All nice people there. It would have been better if all landlords and businesses had cut their rents and services by 10-20% at the start of the recession. I currently need rear end work on my 49 Chevy pick up I need new gears installed into the closed driveline pumps.

They treat my vehicles like their own! I would let Al & his son drive my truck anytime, anywhere and never think twice about where they went! I'm very particular about who messes with my truck! My complements to all!

Al rebuilt my transmission when I got stuck in Turlock on the way to Fresno. Because I was from out of town, he let me come back more than fifteen days later to have the transmission rechecked to validate the warranty.It's been over a month now, and I haven't had any problems. The only difference is shifting into drive is a little stiff, and the car seems slower to start and I have to be a little heavier on the gas.I am getting it checked over by my normal mechanic next oil change, but everything seems to be working great.

Very kind and helpful. Kept us informed at all times on what was going on with the van. Got it back to us as soon as possible. No hassle when there was a problem when we returned it with a problem. There was a bad part, no fault of Al s. I would suggest you to others.

Al s Transmission services has serviced my fleet of rangers for many, many years. Thank you for all you ve done all our automatic s out here on the ranch are going to your shop.We re about ready to give our Ford Ranger automatic to the irrigator s for the 2014 season that pick up will get used by the day irrigator and then the night irrigator the other 5 rangers all have 4-5 sped manual trans. My ford F350 gas has 54,000 miles on it and so far it s ok but who knows my son s both have Duramax diesels with Auto. They are about ready for service. They ll all be in and out of your shop this year.

I called to get a quote at the shop for some transmission work for my car and I have never been disrespected by somebody what's a business in my life I don't know how they even have so many stars if they have a negative attitude over the phone I could just imagine how they have attitude towards your car so you might want to think twice to come into this place I don't care how many years he says he has experience these guys are trash

Terrible service! If you choose not to accept their servies they are absolutly rude...FIND ANOTHER TRANSMISSION SHOP THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF...!
