I've been taking my older Honda Civic and my Subaru to Pete's Auto Repair for over a year now. I have never had a bad experience with them. They are fast with tune ups and repairs and always accommodating. Their prices are fair and Pete and Paul are always honest with me. Great Experience!First time I've been to Pete's. I called for an oil change and was told to come right away as they had a cancellation. Fast, efficient and thorough and the price was right. Paul and his mechanic checked my car over for my upcoming roadtrip, changed my oil etc. and was communicative as to a minor problem with transmission fluid cap. They didn't try to push expensive repair at the time and said they would monitor and check it on my next oil change. I was going to Jason's Honda for the last 20 years and when he closed up shop I was concerned in finding another good auto shop like Jason's. Thank you Pete's, I think I found my next good mechanic! And they take care of the stray cats, which is big plus in my book. Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

No genuine interest to help you here. That s ok rather not take my car to incompetent shop like this (like what the reviews says) that will charge you a fortune for unnecessary repair.

Called in to ask about a smog check. They picked up promptly, answered all my questions and gave a final price.I brought my car in later that day and was handled right away by Paul. Everything went smoothly, and I was done with the check not even 10 minutes in. The total came out exactly what they said over the phone, and they even honored a coupon they had on their site no problem.I even brought up a repair I've been needing to take care of. After describing the issue he told me that it's something they don't usually handle and politely advised me to see a specialist about it instead. I thought this was a very professional response, some other shops might blindly agree to the repair even if it's out of their scope just to get the job.All around good vibes here for my first visit. I only came in for a smog check, but I'd definitely consider coming back for my other auto needs.Service: Auto emissions testing

Honest, hardworking, efficient and kind. Our family had used the same mechanic for 20 years, he retired and we were on the lookout for a new mechanic. It took me a year to find Pete's but boy am I glad I did. We have been going to Pete's Automotive for several years now and I do not intend to go to any other mechanic.Pete, Paul and Victor are wonderful to work with and they always have my best interest at hand. I m so glad I finally have a mechanic I can trust! I was highly recommended to come here by a couple neighbors and I will be coming here with all of my vehicles from now on. The guys working we re so sweet, totally upfront and honest, found out exactly what was wrong with my car in detail right away and fixed everything. I had my car back, ready to drive around LA for work the following day. They did a complete service and tune up, cleaned and replaced several things that were causing my engine to misfire, changed the oil and even fixed a slow leaking tire. It now drives better than it ever has! Finding a great mechanic is rare, and finding one that isn t trying to upsell you on things you don t know about or tack on a bunch of hidden costs is even more rare. These guys are professional, trustworthy and super cool. This shop has caused me untold grief!Replaced an a/c compressor that wasnt needed at $800 cost which resulted in my drive belt to fly off 3 times in the last 18 months, once blowing the radiator after subsequent over heating. When I picked it up they had strangled the wires so I couldn't use the accelerater. Another time I drove off with no transmission fluid because they forgot to put it in. An expensive nightmare. Don't go here unless you like flushing money down the toilet.

Pete and his sons are the best! If you live in the Sunland/Tujunga area, don't even consider taking your vehicle anywhere else for repairs.

I do majority of the work myself on my Jeep, but I found my go-to shop. I have been looking for that one shop I could count on, trust, and know that my Jeep will be good hands. This place is it. Great guys; Father & Son team. Very knowledgeable, informative, friendly, answering additional questions I had on another issue. Very impressed with the service. I had my front rotors and pads replaced by Pete s. Great experience, good brakes for a great price. I have since and will continue to return to Pete s! Already recommended them to family.

Great work done by great mechanics at a reasonable rate. I always recommend them to friends an someone family.Coming back two years later to edit my review.I ve been using this place since I got my license and they have worked on every single one of my cars. Now all my friends and family exclusively use them and I couldn t be happier. When I drop my car off, I always know it s In good hands.

We take all of our personal and company trucks here. They are reliable and we have never had a problem with the work that they do. Their shop and office is very nice and clean unlike most mechanic shops. That is huge for me!. They all look clean and sharp and not all sweaty and grease like most mechanics. Sorry but thats the way it is. I know it comes with the job but these guys are able to deliver good work while keeping a nice shop and a good appearance. Prices are not the cheapest but I definately don't care about saving a few bucks to have the peace of mind that I'm not being ripped off.Thank you Pete and Sons!

The check engine warning within 20 min after oil change . I looked and saw pool of oil spilled where the filter area is .The filter was either not placed properly or used the wrong filter for car model Stay away from this place!!! Not worth itService: Oil change

Our mechanic of 25 years is no longer. We were refereed to Pete's in Tujunga. My two cents? One of Tujunga's best kept secrets. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, fast, efficient, reasonable and even more friendly. Our new repair shop!!!!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

In and out in less than 15 minutes! My vehicle is a 2012 model (5 minutes for the actual smog check), older models may require different/sightly longer smog check. I drove up on a Thursday at 9:30 am and was out by 9:45. Amazing! Can't recommend this place enough. Staff is extremely helpful, courteous and professional!

These guys are absolutely terrific. Best auto repair shop I've dealt with in a long time. Good work, honest prices, and right across the street from a great pizza shop too (I drop off the car, and go eat ). I would absolutely recommend Pete's for your cars.

I heard about Pete's from a local and a former employee...I have to admit, I do have trust issues when it comes to automotives. I took my daughter's car for work and then my own. Pete's has definitely earned our trust. Reasonable prices and honest work .

Competent mechanics. Great trouble shooting and research. Clean organized shop. I have had major repairs and minor done and Pete and his staff have always been right on the mark on what was needed, advice based on safety, long term effects if the item is not repaired and quality parts. I had a rare difficult issue with my brakes and the anti-locks and he was able to trouble shoot the issue and get it repaired quickly. Every once in awhile you find a Mechanic who is honest and that you can just "trust" to give you the right diagnosis, a competitive price and a quality job done.

Fantastic service. Honest, friendly and very rapid. I have gone to them twice and they fit me in despite being very busy and gave nearly instant service. I have been to many mechanics and I would recommend these guys to anyone.

Came here for a smog check and it was easy and fast. While waiting the guys were working on other cara and assisting others as they drove up or were waiting. Cool guys and they weren't snobs like others at different shops.

Gotta love Pete and his son they have always taken care of me no matter what! Tuner friendly great place for emissions check too. Go give Pete your money you won't be disappointed unless you are just an as**ole!

Very Honest, people who are interested in your satisfaction and of course Doing the Repair top notch mechanics Family owned very Honest, I was a heavy line mechanic at community Chevy dealership in Burbank for 10 years and 7 years at Gaplen Ford for A nother 7 years,.this place in Sunland is good and hilley recommend. Pete is the father and his sons are also very Talented.

I really recommend this place, I took my car to another shop and they told me to buy a part that my car didn't need it. I took then to Pete's complete Auto Repair, and they found what was wrong with my car and I didn't have all the money to pay for the repair and they gave me a good discount.
