This is an excellent shop with incredible service that absolutely save the day for me. I had taken a trip up to ride Downieville from SoCal meeting buddies in Tahoe. I had a 6/10 headset problem with my Santa Cruz heckler that other shops were not willing to tackle. It was not easy, but it was straightforward. Dean at cycle paths straight up understood I needed a little elbow grease & know how and this loose headset improperly set stack height and stripped top cap bolt could be fixed quick with the correct extraction tool- a new bolt - a spacer-and new star nut. I literally got this done in 25 mins because of his know how & expertise & was still able to ride that day. Full hero status -save the damn day. Thanks Dean!! Great shop with good gear & rad quality bikes!

I love this bike shop! Helpful, knowledgeable crew of MTB riders, and above all else they treat you with respect and patience. No doubt they re busy, but they give you quality time to ask questions, demo bikes and help steer you in the right direction for service and purchases. Greg is the guy!

I just had such a positive experience with CyclePaths. The cable on my right shifter snapped. I took it to a closer location bike store (also more expensive and pretentious). They could not take care of it for a week which is longer than I am here on vacation. That's OK. They also told me that other local bike stores were sending clients to them. Hmmm. I was skeptical. So, I called CyclePaths who told me, "come on in" which I did. They were gracious and supportive. Fixed my bike in less than 24 hours. Very reasonably priced. Tried to undercharge me. And, gave some great advice on bike cleaning and a helpful product. Now I get to take several more rides in beautiful Truckee before returning home. From now on, when I'm in Truckee this will be my go to bike store. Great people. Thank you. Alec Lee ps: also located next door to Full Belly Deli

Great bike shop. Stopped by here today and got some really cool grips. The owner is really nice and I had a great conversation with him. Right next to my favorite deli and auto glass company too. I like this shop and will go back again for more shopping.

Bought a bike here, great shop, great guys working there. I had one minor problem that was the result of a mistake at the bike factory. It was quickly remedied, and I was out the door in minutes. Great after sale support, and help with do-it-yourself maintenance ideas. And I love the bike.

Greg has been working with me to get me set up for my first fat bike. Can't say enough good things about the business. He's been willing to think outside the norms for shipping to Alaska which makes me wish his shop was in my small town. Dealing with Cycle Paths Bike Shop was so much more refreshing than dealing with a big box store.

I had a very positive experience purchasing my first mountain bike at Cyclepaths! The guys helping me were very kind, insightful and gave me a lot of great information. I also loved the fact that I did not once feel pressured into purchasing a bike from them (I went to another bike shop in Truckee and they were very pushy and it felt like they were just trying to make a sale). You can tell that the employees at Cyclepaths genuinely care for their customers.

Cyclepaths is the best bike shop in North Tahoe! Greg is always so helpful, patient and knowledgable. The service is top notch and they truly look out for the customer and will try to save you money where they can. Highly recommend!

I'm not one to write reviews, but I thought my experience here warranted one. The owner Greg, handles the majority of the bike maintenance and runs the rental counter. Their bike rental selection exceeds that of any other outfit in the Lake Tahoe area. These bikes are all demo + quality and the service is bar-none. My Santa Cruz Bronson C 27.5 performed flawlessly. Wide bars, dropper seat post, new tires, and more. The rental rate was also cheaper than any other mountain location. I strongly recommend Cycle Paths.

Visited North Lake for a few days in July. I busted a spoke and came here to get some help, Miles hooked me up with the proper spoke and nipple for free because he felt bad I had to wait a few minutes. Very kind of him!The next day I splintered my rim at Northstar, stopped in again and Miles hooked me up with a very lightly used Ibis 738 wheelset for a good price, plus he swapped my disc and cassette over in about 2 minutes.Greg, the owner also drove helped drive a shuttle for Tahoe Mountain Guides when we did a tour with Tom the day before. He was super chill.

Greg and the team at CyclePaths came up with a clever solution to get me back out on the trail after a saddle clamp failed. Greg recommended a static seat post that would allow me to keep riding while I wait for the needed part to arrive. Within 10 mins I was back in business and he not only installed the new post and attached the seat, but he noticed play in my headset and quickly tightened things down. Clearly a shop where they care about doing things right and helping people. I'll be buying my next bike from Cycle Paths.

Took my rather old bike (purchased in late '80s - a city bike adapted for mountain trail use by adding chunky tires) in for repair. When I picked it up it was so clean I was wondering if many components, other than the rear cogs, had been replaced. My bike hasn't ridden as smoothly as it now does in years with everything feeling really well adjusted.I think there's a proverb that says something like if you're faithful in the small things you'll be trusted with the big things. I'd say the job on my bike was small - the profit on the work probably paid for the electricity to reheat the staff's final burnt coffee of the day - yet I'm truly impressed with the level of care provided. I'm sure those with serious bikes requiring "big" work, can trust Cycle Paths to give them the same excellent service I received.

Always a solid crew at the shop ready to help. I've had more fixes/wrenching completed ahead of schedule than I can count. The trail knowledge is deep here, ask questions and engage these guys! The new spot is great with more space and lots of gear.

I called looking for a quick release for my bike and was met with unpleasant experience. The associate over the phone attempted to assist me and as I relayed the information to my friend (whom is more experienced in the area and bikes); I was met with the gentleman on the phone stating in a rude, raised tone "DO YOU WANT TO GET YOUR BIKE IN TODAY OR NOT?!?". I am not sure if the associate became frustrated with me, but his demeanor was distasteful.

Rented a full suspension bike for 2 days. Overall pretty good, but they set the tire pressure too low, I ended up pinch flatting. They charged me for the tube :( I extended the rental by a day, returned it at half a day, and they charged me for the full day. Not sure if I would recommend them - suggest taking a look at Paco's or Backcountry.

My very old K2 needed a spring gear tune up. The very nice young man with the beautiful Samoyed dog, was nice enough to take a quick look....., did a few simple things and did not charge me anything. CP is now "my" shop, I WILL be back ( :The shop over on Deerfield wanted $70 and didn't even touch the bike, WILL not be back to that shop.

Came in with a broken derailleur bolt within 1.5 hours of closing on Labor Day. One guy in the shop was handling several sales, but still took the time out to help fix my bike and get me back on the trail. My cycling week went from ruined to back on track. Thanks Cycle Paths.
