Where do I start... I DJ at pastime, and last night I lost my keys, I live in Reno, needless to say, I really don't know too many people in Truckee. I left my truck overnight, starting frantically calling people at 10:00 a.m. this morning hoping to find somebody to save the day. I started calling around, however, Keith, the owner of Pastime told me to call Alpine Lock and key, he said the owner was a really cool guy and he take care of me. Keith, was right on the money about that , Saturday morning, Mitch, the owner of Alpine lock and key picks up the phone, I give him the rundown, he tells me I'll be there in a couple of hours... My wife and I drive up Reno, to meet Mitch, who was there 10 minutes earlier than he was supposed to be... Looked at my truck, looked at me with a smile and says, don't worry buddy, I'll take care of this and have you on the road in no time. Man, that's exactly what he did in less than 10 minutes, Mitch handed me two keys, and said there you go, have a great weekend.. on top of that, didn't even charge me the full quoted price. What a blessing, if you read this review, you should not look any further. Call this gentleman ASAP. Knowledgeable, friendly, fair priced, and definitely the BEST in Truckee. Alpine did a rekey for me when we bought our condo about 11 years ago and did a great job back then so I went with them again November 2023. I wasn t able to be home at the time Dylan came to do the work, so I told him over the phone how to gain access to the property and what I needed done. Dylan finished the job and did a great job and completed all the I asked him to do. I highly recommend Alpine and would hire them again if I ever need Locksmith work done.

Highly recommend Alpine Lock & Key for any of your lock or key needs! Mitch was able to fix my mortise-style deadbolt locking malfunction and got extra copies of keys made for it all in the same day. Our go-to locksmith in the Truckee Tahoe Basin!

They came to Lake Tahoe to copy my car key quickly right after I called them. Pretty quick , professional and straightforward job. He (I think Mitch) was very friendly and nice man. He provided some helpful suggestions and was reasonable and fair about the service cost given it was Memorial and everywhere were closed.

Both my sales rep Aaron B and my installation rep Gabe Van were absolutely first class. They provided extremely prompt and professional responses and coordinated a quick and timely installation. All information was provided and they took the time necessary to educate my spouse and I on the equipment.

Don, knows his stuff. He was fast and courteous. I was called when he was on his way. I won't use any other lock smith. Alpine Lock & Key has a great crew that gets each job done expeditiously.

Danny at Alpine lock is wonderful! I thought I had to replace an expensive commercial door lock, but he was able to fix it for me. He then did a couple of extra things I wasn't expecting! He is very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Service up sale beware! Company stated would be reimbursed with aaa for lock out services, not a lost key but a simple door unlock with keys in vehicle. As a AAA member, aaa only reimburses for key replacements to its members, not a lock out service. With a promise faster eta then an aaa provider, you will lose $300 for said service. AAA doesn't reimburse. Aline lock and key stated reimbursement would come, they are wrong and taking your $$. Tow service are half the cost also for the same service, always quote around!

Mitch Saved our family trip!! Our RV door lock would not open and we were locked inside. He got there quickly climbed thru the window err opened with his tools in hand, charged $140 and took all parts apart and put them all back together after getting the door to open. Was not a lot of hope for us. He relieved the stress of the situation. He was polite and very down to earth. Mitch is the man!! Highly recommend them and Mitch for their service and price. This was all at midnight as well!!

I m a little late in posting this- but Jake did a phenomenal job! Had to re-key 8 locks in the house, most of them being tricky locks for patio doors. He was on time, very professional and upfront with timing and cost. He was in and out within 90 minutes and was very polite. Would absolutely recommend and would use again! Thanks Jake!!

I was told the job couldn't be done, that it was impossible. That even the dealership couldn't do it and my whole system had to be removed, then sent overseas reprogrammed, and sent back with a new key. After much patience, determination, and insane skill Alpine got the job done. I was 4 hours from home with 2 toddlers and lost the key to my new Subaru. I am forever grateful and can't say enough good things. Thanks again guys, what you did for me will forever be appreciated!#717
