I take my car there for all services. Rick and his staff are always honest and trustworthy. There's no other business I would trust with my precious car. I only have 1 and it's my baby.

They do well on their oil changes, but I have brought my car there two times for weird noises, and they were not able to provide a diagnosis. I had to take it somewhere else both times.

I came here for the first time for a smog check. Someone greeted me right as I pulled up and directed me where to go. They were fast and efficient with no issues. The store is clean and parking was easy. The price was even better then the run down place I ve been going to in the past. Couldn t be better. I ll definitely be coming here from now on.

7/2022 update: their Complete Auto Care apparently requires a two hour wait for a brake inspection. They will not allow me to come back in two hours. You need to wait.Two years ago; Left Pep Boys that said they would need an hour, and saw Ricks. Pulled in and got an oil change in 15 minutes. Extra bonus they have a sign out front for a $23.99 oil change (extra oil and Jeep filter were extra)

horrible place, we were selling our car to a couple and the guy acted horrible and only ignored us plus said the repair was more expensive than the car! don t go if you wanna sell your car

Good honest mechanics. Very knowledgeable. I wanted a full tune-up on my car. They told me that new spark plugs weren't needed, and can wait until my next oil change. They saved me some extra beer money. They also got the work done really quick.

I called ahead to see if I needed an appointment, they said no sir..I was quoted price options for my vehicle oil change. When I arrived I was greeted in a timely fashion even though they were very busy within 10 minutes my car was in the bag with the service being performed the manager came and showed me that my air filter and interior filter were both pretty shot I had those replaced as well as the oil and oil filter the whole service was less than a half an hour they filled my wiper fluid and check my other fluid levels and let me know they were okay it was a great service at very fair price extremely courteous personnel very competent staff would recommend

Came here initially because of positive reviews on Yelp and was totally disappointed. I felt scammed and taken advantage of...My car did not pass the SMOG check in January 2023, so I took it to Rick's to get repaired. After the check-up, two issues were present with my vehicle and I have agreed for Rick's to repair one of the issues which was the replacement of an oxygen sensor. If I had known what they would have done to my car, I would have moved my car out of their shop immediately after the check-up. I paid $480 for the part and labor of replacing an oxygen sensor. Afterward, I went to another car mechanic for the repair of the second car issue, which was the replacement of a transmission sensor. At the second mechanic, I learned that Ricks did a poor job with the replacement of the oxygen sensor. More specifically, they installed the wrong oxygen sensor on my car. As a result, I paid an additional $680 for the second mechanic to replace both a transmission sensor and an oxygen sensor (which Rick's should have fixed). In the end, the second mechanic helped me to fix all of my car issues and my vehicle passed the SMOG check.However, I felt unjustified that Rick's took my money and installed the wrong sensor, so I went back to Rick's for a refund. The manager listened to my complaints but refused to give a refund because I did not take my vehicle back to Rick's after finding out that Rick's installed the incorrect oxygen sensor. The problem was, I did not realize what Rick did to my car until I went to the second mechanic. Frankly, when I found out what Ricks did, I lost trust in their work ethics...During the conversation regarding the refund, the manager's attitude was not apologetic, and eventually walked away from the conversation. My entire experience was awful and I would not trust my car with Rick's anymore, despite all the nice reviews from Yelp.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My Pep Boy's appt was cancelled and I needed a quick oil change before leaving for Arizona. They got me in immediately! And at a fantastic price! Clean, accessable, and friendly!

I really want to like this Rick's Lube establishment since it is very convenient to my commute and location. However, I am so upset and disappointed after my last experience that I have to provide a poor rating. In my most recent visit, they charged me without resolving my issue - a big pet peeve of mine.I brought my Jeep into Rick's to get my Smog check certificate in order to renew the registration with the DMV. This was probably my 4th or 5th attempt to get it smog checked since February. It's a long story, but I've made a series of fixes to it in order to get the check engine light to turn off (because you can't pass a smog check if the "check engine" light is on). Rick's fixed the first issue, but immediately after fixing that one, a second appeared. They said they didn't know about the second one at the time, which I believe, but it set me back regardless. So, they gave me an estimate, but it was high. I had that second one fixed by another shop due to it being less expensive. This was fixed in Mid-March and the light went off, again. Four weeks later I thought I was ready. This trip I thought it was finally ready for the smog check because it had been almost a month, and 200-300 miles since the fix (note, they told me to drive it about 50 miles or so after the reset). I was excited to have this past me.The disappointment quickly set in about 20 minutes later when I was informed that my car was "Not Ready" to be Smog certified due to the sensors not being fully reset a after the repairs. This was disappointing, but understandable. The real problem was I was told that I would be charged for this visit, and that I would be charged again for the next visit, if it was actually ready.This was so disappointing! I know that, partially, this was because I had been waiting so long and trying to be proactive about this. It was also disappointing because I've been to this location so many times to get a smog check. It was disappointing because smog checks are so common, that this can't be the first time they've done such a thing. It was also disappointing because I gave them an opportunity to potentially resolve my problem. I would have been happy to pay the fee now, and then bring it back to finish the certification. They refused.I'm sad because I used to love Ricks Lube. In fact, I used to refer my friends to this location. I don't know what happened, but this is not customer experience that I will choose to endure in the future. There are too many auto shops in the area (there are several within blocks of this location) to choose to subject myself to more disappointment.Thanks for listening. Note, I gave a second star because historically they treated me well. Rick's Lube Complete Auto Care is a great place to get a quick check up for your vehicle. I've only had great experiences. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about vehicles. The longest I waited for my truck was 20 minutes tops. The shortest period was 6 minutes. I love prices and the cell phone charging station. I didn't expect such a clean auto center. It caught me off guard. I highly recommend this location for auto care. I wish they did tires also. Regardless, it's a great place.

Amazing service, genuine staff, and stellar mechanics!I ve been to a lot of auto shops for my 2001 Jeep and Rick s Lube Complete Autocare sets the bar high. Rick, Nick and the rest of the crew exceeded my expectations and have become my go to auto shop. One that I will not hesitate to recommend. I really appreciate their thoroughness and quality of work, I will definitely be back for whatever my jeep may surprise me with!

Very impressed with service and speed. I pulled right into bay and was out within 15-20 mins. I was able to stay in my car. Service was polite and cost was reasonable. Highly recommended Rick s Lube in Torrance!!

I take both my vehicles to Ricks Automotive. These guys are efficient and honest. I've been coming here from San Pedro for a few years now..and by far they have great prices on service and are very professional.

Been going to Rick's for over 15 yrs. Very good and fairly priced. Will always tell you what you really need and not try to sell you on products/services that you really don't need just to line their pockets with profits. Good warranty as well on all work performed. Have taken 4 cars there, both foreign and domestic, for repairs and SMOG testing when needed.

BEWARE .especially ladies.. Rick i believe is a good guy friends with a family member of mine but his employees not so much alex is arrogant and a buiseness friendly only type has no respect for the customer I wish Rick wasn't so busy juggling two shops or whatever that takes him away from running his one shop that he lives on top of and still don't know whats going on there well at least I hope he dont. But at all his shops I know of problems the old one on avalon and carson my mother took her car for repair they said they need her to leave it over night and a few days later she noticed someone had mounted some nice used tires in place of her brand new ones. I always have a great experience with Rick's they tell you what your car needs no upsell .The prices are very reasonable I check around before I agree on the work. Also every one is customer friendly and professional and they will be my automotive service center for now on no questions about it. Thanks for the Amazing job on my truck see you soon for my oil change.

These guys have no idea what they are doing. Brought my car in for a check engine light. I was told it needed an evap valve to fix it. Paid them 200 for it. The light came back on while driving home. Their solution was to reset the computer and have me run 60 dollars of gas driving the car around LA county. Needless to say that didn t work. I took the car somewhere else to learn they installed the wrong valve. These guys are incompetent at best and dishonest at worst. What ever you do, do not take your car here!!!!!

Rick's Auto Care is the best place u can take your car. Rick has been the only mechanic that I would let work on my car. He's very knowledgable & started out with 1 shop now he's got 2. Go talk with him. He's very intelligent & his prices r fair. U will wall away very pleased !

Awesome customer service. Rick the owner was there, and is as honest as anyone can be. I was there for an oil change and tire rotation and was in and out in 30 mins. I will be back for all current and future vehicles. Great job fellas. Keep up the fantastic work!!!
