Awesome mechanic!My first visit to this shop and now it's my preferred place to bring my car for service and repairs. It was a pleasure meeting Herbert who was very knowledgeable, has a great personality, and is very kind. I will refer my family and friends to him because of his excellent work. Herbert is a kind hearted mechanic. My family only has one car, so when we had to get it repaired we had no transportation to get back home. My mom is disabled, so it would have been hard for her to walk home. Herbert drove my family and I home after we left our car in his care. He did this for us twice. When we got our car back, we were very happy with the repair!

Herbert literally saved me over $7k versus going to Toyota with a failed display on my Prius Prime. This was after the first 3 auto repair places I called didn't even want to get anywhere near the display issue.I really appreciated that he took the time to explain to me the various options and how quickly he resolved the issue. I brought my car in because my AC wouldn't turn on. Before he got to the car, he told me what the problem was. He purchased the part and had it fixed before the end of day. BEST MECHANIC! As a female the honest truth is I get taken advantage of or most at-least try. This is the most knowledgeable (and happy to explain anything/everything as needed) I have been to. My old Prius is now in good hands and has been holding up a lot better and no longer has unsolved issues that I had with other Prius/hybrid mechanics. They are fare, knowledgeable, upfront/honest, and do those little extra things that really make you want to come back (last time while I was there for something else they cleaned up my headlight for me when I mentioned I might want new ones to show me I might not need them!) They really focus on keeping your business based on things you need not up charging.

Herbert and his team are fantastic. My husband and I have been taking our cars here for smog checks, maintenance and everything under the sun the last few years. Herbert is personable and honest and his prices are reasonable. We trust his work and expertise. I think great mechanics are difficult to find, but I'm grateful to have found Master Tech for the needs of our cars.

I had been having my car serviced at Southbay Toyota until I moved to north Torrance where I find Master Tech. After a few services at Master Tech, I find that Master Tech can provide equally good services like Southbay Toyota but with a much more affordable price. Herbert is very professional and friendly. He is also a Toyota expert. No wonder he has so many certificates and awards on the wall in his office. What I really appreciate his service about is that he went extra to fix my dents without additional charges after my regular car maintenance unlike many other auto shops who could charge me a lot. I now trust Master Tech much more than Southbay Toyota, as I know Herbert provides me with reliable services with great quality. I don't need to worry if he will provide me with unnecessary services just to make extra bucks like many other auto shops including Southbay Toyota. Thank you so much, Herbert! Trustworthy, honest, and efficient!This is the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic. I've gone three times now and every time the communication was prompt, the advice and reasoning was transparent, and the work was billed exactly as quoted. I have never felt like I was over-charged and I trust them to do great work.

I would highly recommend this auto shop!! They were fast, friendly, trustworthy, and the price was right. I only had a burnt out headlight that needed replacing, but based on my experience I would go there in a heartbeat the minute I needed any work done on my car.

This is a great place to go if you ever need your car worked on. I went in cause I thought I needed to get my tires rotated and brake pads replaced. They inspected the car for 30 minutes and told me the tires had to be replaced and the brakes were just rusty and did not need to be replaced for a whole year. Herbert didn't even charge me for looking at the car. He said it was no issue and just asked for me to come back when the brakes needed to be replaced and recommended a place to get new tires. I am only getting my car worked on here from now on.

This place is great! My husband and I moved to the area from out of state and had to switch license plates. One of the screws was rusted and stuck, and after many attempts with a screwdriver and wrench, only managed to strip the head. I stopped by on a Wednesday, late morning after reading fabulous reviews on Yelp. Master Tech is attached to a very small parking lot, which is shared by both a Hertz Car Rental and Performance Transmission & Auto Repair (absolutely no parking). I decided to park in the next lot over (in front of T-mobile) and walked to the office. I was met outside by a very friendly Herbert who, after hearing about my problem, grabbed a few tools and followed me all the way to my car. I really appreciated that, since I had my baby and she is getting heavy. He managed to remove both screws, switch the plates, and secure the new one in about 5 minutes. He then refused to charge me anything and told me to have a good day! It was just like having family or a family friend fix my car. I will gladly come back the next time my car has a more serious problem. Thank you, Herbert, for being so cheerful, friendly, and helpful!

Herbert repaired my car after an accident. He did the work quickly, perfectly, and at a fair price. He didn t charge me for extras I didn t need or inflate the cost of the parts. He is so knowledgeable, so helpful, and so honest. I would recommend Herbert over any other mechanic any day.

Echoing everyone else who speaks to owner Herbert's honesty. Every time I've come here he's shown me exactly what the issue is and what exactly was fixed - down to showing me the parts replaced. Had A/C fixed, oil changed, and front / rear brakes replaced. Highly recommended!

The owner of Master Tech, Herbert Mejia, is a very experienced Japanese car technician who provides excellent customer service and very reasonable prices. He takes the time to explain mechanical problems in detail, and will not perform unnecessary services. I discovered Master Tech through the very favorable online reviews, and I am happy to report that Herbert and Master Tech are the real deal.

Changed my clutch slave cylinder here. Had it inspected first with no charge.Also fixed my exhaust which was hanging off no extracharge.And cleared my check engine code.Herbert is great. Very honest down to earth guy, and mechanic.
