The best of South Bay. Leaving a review to negate any negative. This is the absolute best ever mechanic. It s our secret. But for the 5 star they deserve I ll make a review.

I ve been their customer for 10 years now and have recommended this place to all my friends and family. They are also cery satisfied with their services. Mr. Kim & his wife are alway very honest and helped me for the best. I saved a lot of $ and time from him. Highly recommended.

Poor customer service.He had me drive over to his shop just to get the VIN and EFMXT numbers, which I could've given him OVER THE PHONE.He took the information and said his wife would call me the next day (12-15-2023) with a quote.By noon she hadn't called, so I called her.She said she was waiting on the dealer to call her back. I told her I knew which dealer to get the part from and asked for the price to put the catalytic converter on. She told me $200.However, they refused to accept me buying the part directly from Ford.Could it be because they can't add some ridiculous price on the back-end?I'm more than fed-up with poor people taking advantage of customers.

We been going to this shop since 90s the old owner Sam and new owner James are of this shop are nice in a good mechanic. Every times I my cars for service and repair they always find the problem.

The other local mechanic closed down. The reviews here are right. This guy is awesome. My new main mech! Checked over my car, test drove it, couldn't find anything immediate wrong (swear I'm hearing something). Charged nothing! I'll be taking it back if it gets worse.

Great place for a smog test. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I'll be bringing other cars here too.I just visited again today 9/8/23 and Kim's is my favorite place for smogs. They're a star station and they work quick and efficiently. I've been coming here for 4 years now and have never had a problem.

Mr. Kim did great! He was transparent about price and retest policies before he got started. I was in and out in about 15 minutes.

To those who wants to have smog and repair your vehicles for any reason you found the right place. James and Rachel are so kind and honest of their services. James personally repair any kind of vehicles you have with good quality work, professionally, good price compare to neighboring area, and fix it on time! He never promised a time where he can t deliver. Being mechanical tech savvy myself I can only say that he takes pride in what he does as certified mechanic. Excellent shop! Best mechanic we've gone to. He was able to diagnose both my boyfriend's Ford Explorer and my sister's Toyota Camry when no other mechanic could figure out the problem. He goes the extra mile and really puts effort and care into his work. Prices are also very reasonable for the time spent and quality of work. 100% recommend!

A small family business. Kim was recommended by my father. Labor cost are great and Mr Kim is honest which is hard to find nowadays with repair shops. I've been taking all my cars to him when need. Keep up the GREAT work.

I brought my vehicle to Kim's Auto Service for a quick bi anneal smog check. Kim's shop is located near the DMV to make registration renewal smooth and seamless. Service was extremely quick in and out within 15 minutes or less. Staff was courteous, prices were reasonable.

Kim's Smog is the most reliable place to get auto repairs. Rachel and James are both genuinely friendly people who will assist you to the best of their abilities. Also, James is an ASE Certified Master Technician, and is more than qualified to help you with your problems.

James is one of the most honest and kind person I've ever met. Im a single mother and sometimes money is tight and I needed a car to go work. James fix my car bought the parts from his own pocket and let me make payments I mean where can you find someone like that " him" here in California. Very friendly and fast! I would highly recommend this if you are in a crunch for time. I went on my lunch break and was in and out in less then 10 minutes. I thought it would be at least 30 minutes from my past experiences.
