Costco is usually great, but their tire center at the Torrance store is simply awful. Their service design is fundamentally flawed with too few employees for too many customers. The counter employees were courteous, but the wait times were excessive: 40 minutes in line just to check in for a 1pm appt, then another 3 hours for installation with no text sent when finished. The new tire sidewalls and existing alloy wheels were damaged in the process, and the tire pressures they used were not to the car's specification as shown on the door panel. It just can't get much worse.

I received great customer service from this place on 12/31/2023. I forgot my wheel lock and the mechanician is very patient and be able to change my vehicle tires quick after I pickup my wheel lock. I really appreciate his help!

Got a estimate nice employee helpful. He told me the estimate was only good that day. I did not understand why the estimate was only good for one day, do tire prices fluctuate by the day? He did not explain why the estimate was only good for one day so the encounter left me scratching my head.

Simply purchase your tires somewhere else where they will price match and you won't have to wait on a waiting list if you have problems, flats, etc. Other tire shops would patch a tire in hours; Costco will make you wait days.

First off, takes forever to get through on the phone. Got an apt. for new tires to be put on, said it would take 1.5 hrs from when I dropped the car off and ended up taking 2.5 hrs. On top of that, they put a dime sized CHIP in my wheel and clearly dropped another tire because there are now marks and dents in it. Not worth the money for how much they charge and for the horrible job they actually do. The workers obviously don't take pride in their job and rush through it.

Juan great guy, however waiting in line 30mins and there was 5 people in line. Need to improve customer waiting time and may need try responding with closed ended answers to serve more customers in a reasonable timeframe.

Made an appointment online because after multiple phone calls through Costco Torrance phone, I wasn t able.Arrived on time to my appointment 10:45am for 11am appointment. Waiting in line to be checked in. About 10 mins later I am helped. Only one person at the front desk (friendly) but he has to handle phone calls and get your tires ready from their storage (no one else assisting him). He tells me it should take about 1-1.5 hours for my car to be ready. It s 11:05am approx by the time I am at my car placing their sign to be serviced. I am green car #2. It is 12:20pm and my car is not ready. I approach and tell the technicians working that I had an 11am appointment and my car is not ready. His answer is with appointment, it takes us 1:45-2hours wait time but in about 10 more mins we will have your car ready. He was kind enoug to let me load my groceries. However, this is not the service time I expected from Costco. The reviews I now read online match the service I experience from Costco today. It is 12:45pmmy car is now ready. Total 2 hours from check in until out of the door.Price of the tires was awesome. Staff was friendly but I do agree with many of the reviewers that Costco s Tire manager needs to better oversee the employees performance/time because it is true other places handle the tire replacement/balancing and all that faster for sure.Testing my tires now. My car is driving steady and feels solid. Tires are making a difference. Great job!!!Was it worth the wait? It was. I ordered my tires online on 8/10/20 for store delivery and made my appointment online the same day for 8/21/20. Will I bring my car to be serviced again at Costco Torrance? Yes I will if the time to complete the job from check in takes 2 hours or less. I just hope management hears the reviews and does a much better job to expedite service so you have more happy customers.

Recently bought four tires with Costco discount coupon (great bargain purchase!), returned another day for installation appointment, waited 1.5 hours later as promised. Employee Alex from Tire Center counter inside warehouse was very attentive, efficient, friendly, very patient in answering all my questions and able to provide a good referral for wheel alignment after tires were installed. I have been buying Bridgestone or Michellin tires for both my vehicles since 2009 (look for those sales coupons in their calalog)...best for your bucks!

BEWARE My car was recently STOLEN in front of my house days after it was serviced here. An entire set of new tires.I filed a police report and it was insinuated that it was VERY LIKELY IT WAS AN INSIDE JOB. A worker likely copied my key, they know my address, aware of what's in my car, etc etcDO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.

To get through the phone at the tire center is a nightmare! The wait is at least one hour on the phone. Terrible customer service. How do you make an appointment over the phone...impossible! One has to walk into the store to set up the appointment. Costco needs to change employees at the tire center or provide training to their technicians to move and work diligently and efficiently or they will lose more customers.

BEWARE!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE! The $126 savings they offer is not worth it. I came and handed them my key to replace my tires at 1125 am and promised an approximate time of 3-4 hours and now my current time is 420 pm and I'm still sitting waiting for them to get and start on my car. THAT'S 5 HOURS ALREADY plus who knows how much longer I have to wait!!! I WILL NEVER BUY MY TIRES AT COSTCO ANYMORE! I could have gotten it at America's Tire.

Great customer service I dont know what happened to this negative reviewers but mine was far great! If your lookin for a friendly and reliably tire technician look for CHRIS, im sure he would be willing to help and assist! KUDOS to you Chris, Johnny and Franco! From -kath -VW ATLAS! =)

Be prepared for the following: having to pay for a replacement tire even though it was apparently under warranty , wait weeks for the replacement, and then after weeks upon weeks of waiting being unable to contact them because no one picks up the phone.

Gorge has provided us, a client of over 23 years, with the ultimate service; this on the heel of complicated tiers swap made easy by the tier center staffers Albert, Alex and a third I fail to recall the name! And Complements to the hiring selection. Like I mentioned to Gorge the fellows that I had the pleasure of dealing with were personable and their treatment was from the hart. Thanks costco for taking care of us when it really mattered..

Absolutely ridiculous service. We waited more than an hour in line just to be served because only one guy was at the counter. The poor guy was overloaded with customers and phone calls and even had to look for customers' newly-ordered tires by himself. All this while the other workers in the garages were slacking off and the line behind us grew longer. Costco needs to put more people behind the counter helping customers out and workers that don't sit on their butts all day!

Horrible service, ridiculous waiting time for a patch on a tire 4 hrs??? and you appointments are 2 weeks out? They need to stop chatting and get to work, or at least be smart enough not to do it in front of customers.

The service is slow, the workers mostly sit around and talk instead of working on the full racks of cars they have in the bays. It wouldn't take an hour to just rotate my tires if you actually worked on rotating my tires instead of slacking off.

I agree with many reviews about workers slacking off. They are friendly but not really focused on efficiency. 2.5 hours to get through 6 cars on rotate tires?
