Apple Garden Cottage was WONDERFUL. We stayed three nights and couldn't have been happier with our stay. Jan and her husband, Lou were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our time and easy to reach if we needed anything. The cottage was clean, warm, comfortable and quiet. The bed was really comfortable and the warm breakfasts were DELICIOUS. You could tell there was a lot of thought and heart put into the details of this B&B.We were able to take advantage of the location and explore both the northern coast above Bodega Bay, as well as Tomales Bay and Point. It was a wonderful weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of they bay area and we've already begun recommending this place to our friends and family. Definitely a MUST stay.

We will definitely return to the Apple Garden Cottage in Tomales. Our stay at Jan and Lou s guesthouse was wonderful. The cottage is very comfortable, private and thoughtfully designed. Relaxed, early morning walks through the apple orchard serenaded by happy hens, Jan s delicious breakfasts, her and Lou s sweet Aussie dog and much more, made our time at the Apple Garden Cottage truly enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We spent two nights at the cottage this summer and had a marvelous time. The cottage itself is fabulous, outfitted with everything we could have wanted. Jan is a thoughtful, attentive host who thinks of every detail. Her scones are superb. All of our breakfasts were wonderful. The setting of the farm is lovely, with fields to roam in, and creatures to admire. Jan s recommendations for lunch spots are helpful and thoughtful (we especially loved the Route One Bakery in Tomales and the Marshall Store in, well, Marshall). I see that some guests felt there weren t restaurants nearby for dinner. If you don t want to drive, that s true. But if you don t mind a 10-15 minute drive, we had great experiences at Tony s and at Nick s Cove. We found the cottage to be a restorative, restful oasis, truly peaceful and comfortable. We will be back.

We stayed just one night, but it was perfect. The cottage is very clean and tidy, and is well equipped. Very quiet and peaceful location. The apple orchard is very nice to walk about in as well. Jan is a superb host and I really cannot think of anything that I could suggest as an improvement. Do not miss the fresh baked scones for breakfast. Keep in mind there are no nearby spots for dinner, bring your own (or supplies and cook).

We stayed at AppleGarden for two nights and the cottage was perfect - clean, quiet, and well equipped. Jan was a wonderful host and accommodated our gluten-free diet with fantastic breakfasts. The surrounding area is picturesque and relaxing. I have recommended the cottage to friends as a great place to stay and explore this part of California.

Exceptional!!!!! We stayed here for two nights and had a fantastic time. Everything was first class, the host thought of every detail. Breakfast each day was excellent - fresh picked strawberries from her garden, delicious scones, fresh eggs from her chickens, cornmeal yeast waffles using her state of the art waffle iron, and much more. Highly recommend!!!

My wife and I stayed at the Apple Garden Cottage a week ago, for two nights. My wife makes all of our reservations and I love her choices, but I never write reviews. I had to write a review for the Apple Garden Cottage. The Farm is wonderful and serene, and the little village of Tomales very nearby was quite quaint. The Cottage itself is fantastic, and the owners have stocked it impressively with great coffee, fresh, organic dairy products (half and half; butter; yogurt; etc.). The breakfasts brought to the Cottage each morning were spectacular. The first day we had incredible warm scones (the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot). The second day we had tasty waffle mix (there is a waffle iron in the Cottage kitchen) with warm bacon and VERY fresh strawberries grown at the farm and picked the night before. Absolutely delicious. I loved our stay at the Apple Garden Cottage and only wish we had had more time there.

The AppleGarden Cottage is a perfect home away from home. Thoughtfully appointed, perfectly sized for two, and in the most bucolic setting. Waking up each morning to Highland cows grazing outside the kitchen window was a delight!Jan s breakfasts were out of this world good! We eagerly awaited delivery each morning and excitedly tucked into the yummiest scones, frittatas, breakfast puddings, and more. Yum!This property is really special - do not hesitate to book!

AppleGarden Cottage is such a hidden gem. I loved staying at this place on my road trip. Tucked away in a charming farm with apple trees and an adorable dog, it was perfect for relaxing after exploring the nearby Point Reyes area. Jan and Lou were lovely hosts, and the breakfast Jan provided each morning of our stay was delicious. And the highland cows! Will definitely have to come back for another stay!

Fabulous cottage for a single person or couple looking for a relaxing break. Beautifully designed with everything you need to enjoy a very comfortable stay. The home cooked daily breakfast basket and the local provisions provided in the fridge were a very welcome delicious bonus.Lots of great nearby hikes if you are feeling adventurous. A truly amazing stay - relaxing by the fire and enjoying their great cider - just wish we had brought more cider back.Would absolutely recommend if you are looking for a chilled few days away! This cottage is just perfection.

The AppleGarden Cottage was a wonderful find during the Covid-19 pandemic. Everything was super clean and social distancing was not a problem since we were the only guests. The cottage is the perfect size and attractively decorated. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook meals. The refrigerator was stocked with fresh eggs, yogurt, and half and half. Jan delivered a wonderful breakfast each morning. We enjoyed her fresh baked scones, muffins, frittata, and waffles along with fresh fruit and bacon.Walking around the farm and meeting the animals was special. The cottage is in a good location to take day trips to the coast or to visit the small inland towns. The hosts are very friendly. They make staying at the AppleGarden Cottage an experience that you will want to repeat.

Jan and Lou have thought of everything to make the cottage a warm and comfortable place to stay. The breakfasts were delicious, and we appreciated the wonderful local dairy products that complemented the yummy food that was delivered to our door each morning. We had a wonderful weekend there and would highly recommend it!

We loved this place. We stayed there for 4 days just before Christmas and it was wonderful. Living in the city, we wanted some quiet time in the countryside. We came away rested and restored. My biggest issue with B&Bs is that we often find the hosts endlessly intrusive. I understand they want to help, but as an introvert, their presence often grates. Jan and Lou, though, were very thoughtful about letting us enjoy the peace and quiet their cottage provides. It was a delight to have the freshly-made morning meals dropped off for us to deal with at our own pace. The store in Tomales, which is a pleasant walk from the cottage, provided us snacks and lunches. And there are a lot of options for dinner nearby. Our favorite was the Bodega Casino (which is neither a bodega or a casino, but a bar), where in the evenings they have pop-ups with amazing local chefs.I also really appreciated Jan giving us a tour of their farm and teaching us about the business of it. We were really impressed with their industry and acumen. We'll definitely be back!

There are really not enough words to describe how wonderful our 2 night stay was at the Apple Garden Cottage. The owner Jan and her husband could not have been more gracious and welcoming. First of all the cottage is perfection at the highest level. The bedroom is comfortable and spacious. The bathroom, with heated floors, has every necessity and then some. The living area with electric fireplace makes that space and kitchen so comfortable. The surrounding views and overall beauty just enhance what you get to experience in your accommodations. Then let's talk about the morning breakfast. First we were supplied with fresh eggs, cream, yogurt all locally produced. We were then delivered fresh scones and strawberries the first morning. The second morning was waffle batter and delicious nectarines. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need including a selection of coffees and teas. I can only say don't walk but run to make your reservations here. The setting is stunning and there are ample places to walk and hike in the surrounding areas. The people that we talked to throughout our visit were so warm and friendly and clearly treasure their community.

I am ready to move in permanently! Found this cute little cottage on-line last year, but opted to stay in a different area. While looking at a short stay getaway this year, I remembered the Apple Garden Cottage and we decided to give it a whirl. Sorry we didn't do this last year because it was the best choice! This quaint little cottage is so cozy and inviting, you need never leave it. The best nights sleep in a long time. The bed was so comfy, I never wanted to crawl out. Sitting by the fire sipping their own farm made hard cider and listening to classical guitar music, well, who wouldn't love that? The owners were so welcoming and provided all you could possibly require, however, never intrusive. Breakfast brought to you each morning was delicious. While looking out the kitchen window one morning five wild turkeys appeared in the field strutting with their feathers fully displayed. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, Apple Garden Cottage is THE place to go! Everything is top notch. I would highly recommend you give it a shot, you will not be disappointed.

My friend and I were part of a wedding party at Spring Hill Estates and discovered this lovely cottage to stay so close. Jan is a lovely host and the cottage is very comfy. She greeted us warmly, showed us around, shared with us her breakfast routine. She leaves a basket on the porch in the morning with tasty food to start the day. You will not be disappointed with your stay!

My wife and I have stayed at this lovely cottage several times, and we can t say enough about it. It s set in the picturesque countryside of West Sonoma County with its rolling hills and winding roads, abundant wildlife, beautiful and varied vistas, and of course the stunning Pacific coast. The cottage itself sits on Jan s and Lou s apple farm, and is very private, quiet, cozy and comfortable, with all of the modern amenities one could want. Its location provides easy to nearby towns, restaurants and shops and the coast. One of the special treats of staying here is Jan s homemade breakfasts (included in the nightly rates) which are delicious and plentiful, and delivered to your doorstep each morning. We always return home feeling relaxed and restored (and well-nourished), and looking forward to our next stay.

Apple Garden Cottage is truly magical. We come here at least once a year, sometimes twice. It is our home away from home. When we need a retreat, a little break from work and life, a bit of quiet, a revival of body and soul.Jan and Lou are the perfect hosts and their cottage is perfectly set up, with everything you need and more. Jan s breakfasts are so delicious and filling that we don t need lunch! The kitchen is perfectly set up to cook dinners with fresh produce from Point Reyes. We love how peaceful and quiet it is, with beautiful pastures in the back. The bed is so comfortable, like sleeping in clouds. We enjoy sitting in the living room by the fire and reading. During the day, there are so many hikes to explore at the Point Reyes National Seashore that no matter how often we come, there are more to discover. The oyster farms are nearby - both the Marshall store and Hog Island serve delicious oysters! Nicks is great for dinner. Point Reyes is a perfect little town to explore as well - bookstores, boutiques, Cowgirl creamery for amazing cheese, Toby s for produce and all sorts of fun thing including a gallery at the back, and Stellina for great Italian food. For us, Apple Garden is the perfect combination of rest and activity, delicious meals in and great restaurants, being pampered and having our own space... just bliss.

We stayed at the Cottage for two wonderful nights. The Cottage was clean, loved how it was decorated and the bed was comfortable. The actual is even better than the web pictures. Our breakfasts were fabulous, Jan and Lou were gracious and went out of their way to help us (my husband is in a wheelchair). We are now converts to Jan and Lou s hard Apple cider!

A wonderful, magical place to stay for a weekend (or longer!). Walking into a warm, cozy cottage on a cold night was a treat, as was the complementary apple cider from the orchard. Wandering the orchard the next day, picking an apple or two, and saying hello to Jan, her husband, and their pup, was wonderful. An intimate, joyful getaway location.

I came to AppleGarden cottage with my brother after a long day a riding our bikes and I couldn't believe how perfect this place was it exceeded my expectations in every way. The cottage is incredibly charming with a fire place, a perfect little kitchen, a very nice bathroom with great products to use and a very comfortable bed to sleep in. The town is a short walk away so it's easy to grab a drink and some dinner if you aren't cooking. Dawn was particularly striking as the sun rises above lush rolling hills to reveal the quite perfect surroundings of grazing cattle and brilliantly green grass. This can all be observed on the private deck in one of the provided, weighty bathrobes while eating an exquisite breakfast of freshly baked Scones prepared by Jan and some scrambles eggs.I will certainly be coming back with my Wife for a perfect escape from the city.

We have been to the cozy cottage twice and each time gets better. It is our quiet retreat from the city. We love hearing the owls at night and visiting the cows and chickens during the day. We'll be back
