Okay, acceptable place to rest if visiting the parks. Within 15 mins drive of Sequoia NP entrance. Staff were efficient and friendly. Rooms were pretty clean. Our room didn't get turned over once during our stay. Only issue we had were ants. Check-in was easy and quick. Breakfast selection is great! Great large pool. Small hot tub. Love the option of steam room which is located inside the gym. Small selection of gym equipment. Felt safe and parking was close enough to our room that we didn't have to lug everything around.

This Inn is an affordable, family friendly option in close distance to town and Slick Rock. Beds were pretty comfortable but room could be cleaner/use an update, though towels/sheets looked and smelled clean. Room 205 gets an awful smell from outside at night due to proximity to septic tanks and has a loud humming noise from somewhere in the building that never turns off, which even with ear plugs made it difficult for light sleepers. Housekeeping staff were sweet and helpful. Breakfast is what you would expect. Overall, I would stay here again if in the area, and my family has been for years.

Our king room was very comfortable including the bed. Shower and room climate was good. Reception staff was very welcoming including the food service worker. Location perfect near a market, downtown ( up the road), churches and approximately 7 miles from the entrance of Sequoia Park. Breakfast was typical Comfort Suite. All food and beverages was fresh.Rooms: Pictures tell the storySafety: Great location

I choose this hotel bc of proximity to Sequoia. The front desk staff was friendly. I gave service a 1 bc housekeeping needs to do a better job. the room was disappointing, the cost is too high for the quality of room. I paid $199 during off season. My guess is that corporate doesn t care, bc people will book bc of proximity to park. We were on first floor and the window was unlocked so make sure to check that. Room was covered in dust. Wash clothes were stiff. See pictures.

They use some extraordinary deceptive business practices.. their website specifically says pet friendly. However, when you check in, they will specifically tell you that pets aren't allowed.. would never ever stay here again.. plenty of other places to stay nearby. Beware of face tattoo guy and the person in the back watching the parking lot cameras.

Sorry for the 2 stars, one of the staff members was so kind and only for him it is not reaching the 1 star. Got a room with a blanket that had pee on it ! It was wet and when I seated myself on the bed, the bedsheets turned yellow! The lady at the entrance didn't accept my mother's virtual credit card ( we had our passports and the payment was already made) my mother from France couldn't have internet and the lady was refusing to give her the WiFi! My mother almost cried at the reception and the lady was just ignoring her and helping other guests! How can this be acceptable!LOL and If you think you will enjoy any of the facilities - forget about it, it will be crowded.Sorry but NO sorry. Respect yourself and go anywhere else! Rooms: Check the bed there was pee on mine !

I booked this hotel for my family because of it's proximity to the park and a couple of the other amenities. It started off badly and then it just got worse. We asked if we could check in early. It was 2:30pm and we knew we weren't supposed to check in until 4pm, so I understood we might have to wait. The man at the front desk said we would need to wait and made a side comment about, "It's always the Expedia customers," so we just parked around in the back lot of the hotel and waited. Lucky for us, we could see the cleaning crew. They didn't move for the entirety of the time we were in the back lot.... It wasn't a good start. When we went back, they told us we had a second floor room and that the elevator was also not working for the entirety of our stay.We went up to the room and brought our luggage in. Once in the room, I quickly realized that it did NOT have a sofa that was in the pictures when we booked it. I double checked our own booking and the sofa was still right there in the pictures and description. I checked the current price of a room with a sofa and it was actually $3 less than what we had already paid, so there shouldn't be any problem if we needed to switch. My wife went down to the front desk to ask about it and was told that because we had touched the beds, it would be a $30 surcharge if we switched rooms. They offered us a rollaway bed at a cost of $10. All we wanted was what we had seen in the photos of the room that we booked. The guy at the desk said he could see the sofa in the photo, too.Just stay away. It was shady and unprofessional. I cannot recommend against it enough. Spend more if necessary to go elsewhere.

The inn was much nicer than we expected! Staff was very friendly and supportive and breakfast was good too, and included. It was very quiet and nice, and there are some good dinner options nearby.Rooms: Spacious bedrooms, beds are soft and nice.Nearby activities: About 1h20min from the Sequoia National Park. There s a convenience store across the street as well as a pizza place.

Nice, clean facility a short drive from Sequoia National Park. Continental breakfast includes 3 different cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, muffins, sliced bread and English muffins, waffle station, fruit, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. Coffee machine that is accessible all day. Joe solved an issue I had with my reservation, he went out of his way to make sure it was taken care of. He is amazing!!

Good location, helpful staff, convenient breakfastPool has jacuzzi and bean bag toss gameThere was no shampoo in our room, but a call to the front desk fixed that. The keys demagnetized a few times and the door was hard to open.It was annoying the pool wasn't open earlier than 10am, was hoping for a morning swim. Fitness room small and hot

Just to let others know. Don't again I say do not stay here.Overcharged and they were not friendly and unpleasant. We had issues from the front desk to the room and the toilet valve ran the whole time plus sensors for the lights did not work. Noises in the walls didn't sound like coming from other guests so beware before booking here.Probably the worst experience had, and will not be back and I really think they don't care, because they think they have a corner on the market, because of a National Park entrance nearby. They really need to get their act together.THE WORST PART WAS THE ANTS IN THE SINK AND FLOORS DISGUSTINGSadly we cannot give this zero stars!

I would be satisfied if this were a motel 6. yes I paid the extra $50 so we can have our dog stay with us..I did not expect that the whole room would smell dirty! Someone had shaved in sink. the maid did Even clean the mess. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. What a disappointment! This is a do-over! And try to forget the first experience.Rooms: The room smells bad not very impressive. Not clean. Way too much money for motel 6 quality

Personally I feel that some of the reviews below are expecting a little bit too much from a 2 star hotel - you get what you pay for! Yes, the hotel is a little bit dated, but our room was clean, the heater worked, hot water was perfect, checking in was a breeze, and the front desk employee (I think his name was Jason) was super friendly and welcoming! A complimentary breakfast going until 9:30am is always a plus and makes getting out and started with the day much easier. I definitely wouldn t complain, it easily seems like the cleanest and best managed hotel that we passed driving through Three Rivers on the way to our reservation here!

Here is the most objective review of the Comfort Inn I can muster. It is a basic hotel. The room was comfortable, clean, and maintained to reasonably basic expectations. We stayed in a room with a king bed, which included a very basic spring mattress and clean bedding. You ll notice the thematic word of this review is basic .The grounds appear to be well kept, as does the pool and the jacuzzi. For those complaining of bugs or critters, I may point out that you are surrounded by large river beds and a forest. Try to lower your expectations to meet your surroundings. It s worth mentioning that there is only one other hotel/motel in the village that appears to be remotely on par with The Comfort Inn. Likely the other venue will be booked up as it was for us. The other motels available were simply not an option. I m not sure who patronizes those alternative establishments, but after eye witnessing the grounds of those aforementioned motels, I would speculate personally that they are not even an option. I would rather sleep in the car. Some of those places appear as though not renovated since the 60 s. Ugh.The hotel was quiet, the view from our room was of a dilapidated building. But, I suppose you re not staying here for the direct view of the scenery, but the close access to Sequoia national park, which is right down the road. There was a basic continental breakfast. Lots of carbohydrates and microwaveable options. It s about what you would expect for a Comfort Inn. Though, you are in close proximity to a grocery store with reasonably priced barbecue take out. There are a few restaurant options that I didn t utilize. The employee demeanor was on par with the amount of financial compensation they were likely receiving. Treat them like fellow human beings and you ll likely receive the same courtesy in return. You typically get what you give in most cases.I would certainly stay here again. The rest of this review is for my fellow fitness enthusiasts. I would estimate that 95% of the people staying here came for the access to the national park (with a 5% margin of error). But, if you were expecting to use the fitness center at the Comfort Inn, you may be better off bringing some resistance bands or your own training equipment. The fitness center consisted of; one treadmill missing the safety switch key that I was unable to use (though maybe the key was at the front desk, I didn t ask), one non-commercial recumbent bike, one elliptical that felt as if every fastener holding it together was loose, 6 sets of dumbbells with weights ranging from 5-30 pounds, and an articulating weight bench. Needless to say, you won t get much of a workout in there.Again, lower your expectations to avoid disappointment. There was a sauna that did not appear to be in operation, though I didn t attempt to use it.

The manager of the hotel cancelled my reservation without Expedia s approval, just because of their suspiciousness on my son s health condition. And the manager is pretty rude. My worst booking experience ever. I will never book with this hotel again.

Took the family on vacation to see the Sequoia National Park. Looked for a Name Brand hotel near the park and I only found two, Comfort Inn being one. The hotel was dated, the first room we were assigned didn t have heat so we had to move to another room. The second room had a door that was open on the bottom and we had to stuff a towel under the door to keep things from crawling in at night, being we were on the first floor next to the outside door. We saw a few creepy crawlers in the room once we killed those didn t see anymore. We asked for adjoining rooms being we had our children with us, that request was not accommodated even though we made the reservation more than a month in advance and the hotel was at best at 50% capacity. The morning comp breakfast was decent, Hotel staff were pleasant. Again if you go to the park there are not many Name Brand hotels to stay, so it met our need for two nights but I wouldn t stay there again. A plus, As you can in the pictures they have a really nice view of the mountains.

Stayed here on the way to the sequoias. It's a nice hotel. It was nothing special. The air conditioner didn't work the best and it was it was over 100 degrees outside so that sucked. The pool was very refreshing. The breakfast was good, not great but they did provide a lot of options of things to eat. There was a lot of trash around the hotel parking lots which made it more challenging to walk to dog around.

It's not the worst hotel I've ever stayed, but the building is pretty beat up. The back entry door to the hallway from the parking lot wouldn't close all the way from damage. They replaced carpet and furniture recently, but the stuff that is harder or more expensive to do was in poor shape. The cover on the air conditioner in our room was broken. The faucet for the bathroom sink squeaked and was hard to move. The toilet seat wouldn't stay up because the tank lid wouldn't sit properly. I wasn't a fan of the sensor lights in the bathroom either. There was no way to keep them off in the middle of the night. My first trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night, all the lights came on and the toilet seat kept slamming down because of the lid issue. We didn't get any cleaning service during the 6 nights we were there. I'll give them a pass on this since they are probably having staffing issues. They do need to do some detail cleaning between guests. There was a lot of dust on the top edge of the tub surround.Breakfast could have been better too. They had eggs every day and alternated between sausage and bacon. The sausage was fine. The bacon was floppy. I'm guessing they just reheated something they got from Sysco or some other food supplier. I'd rather not have bacon at all than steamed bacon. On the bright side, it was close to Sequoia National Park and was a good base for getting to things in Sequoia National Forest. I also didn't have any issues with the staff. All the staff I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The hotel needs a serious renovation/remodel and they could improve the quality of the food at breakfast. I've had better breakfasts at other budget chains.

I'm giving 5 stars for this Comfort Inn because of their honesty, cleanliness, and politeness. This hotel is simple and basic, but I'm giving a high rating because I accidentally left my wallet with cash in the public restroom in the lobby, and the staff kept it for me for the entire day. I was mad at myself for my forgetfulness but thankful that these staff are super nice.I have a very sensitive respiratory system. My allergies usually kick in if there is a lot of dust or fiber. I know the hotel is clean because my allergies did not flare up.The staff here was very polite, which is exactly what you need after a long day of driving. If you don't want to go all out and camp in a tent, staying here at Comfort Inn is a plus! It's about a one hour drive from General Sherman Tree at Sequoia National Park.
