I am Tech Age Automotive's biggest fan. Recommend them enthusiastically to everyone I meet who either owns a classic car or desires to have one. Troy is the exuberant consummate, professional manager greeting you with warmth & purpose via phone. Mike the ever-present owner always on hand for a knowledgeable consult. Rick the ace mechanic on the job to find the best method to solve the riddle. I trust these gentlemen completely, have had them service my 1964 Corvair for years, and will do all I can to encourage others to bring their cars here too. As its all about relationships, and Tech Age is the best in the valley for automotive repairs.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Tires, Auto battery replacement, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Brought my Jeep wrangler in for exploratory surgery. Had to have it towed because she couldn't move on her own. The prognosis was as I suspected, complete collapse of the front drive system! Being a '98 vintage, aftermarket front-end replacement was the only option. Troy's diligence was the key in finding a suitable candidate on the secondary market. All the internals for the differential were replaced and tested in record time. The additional scrutiny of related and supporting systems rounded out the eperience. IT all translates into one word describing this encounter. COMPETENCE! The word so casually thrown around today, but rarely displayed. Michael, Troy, and all the crew at Tech-Age, have it in bucket loads!! Rely on this business, they absolutely ROCK!

I have used Tech Age Automotive for 3 years. They have my 41 year old car running like it is new. They rebuilt my carburetor and it runs amazing. Recently, they added tire and alignment services, so I also had them install new tires and do an alignment. They are friendly, honest and very qualified. Anytime there is an issue, it is dealt with until it is correct. The owner Michael and his staff are the best. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Tech Age was recommended to me by a member of the parts department at Palm Springs Motors. I had them install my performance handling package on my 2016 Mustang. I was very impressed start to finish.

Mike and his crew are simply the best in the business! They are always courteous and professional. Being that I am retired from the automotive repair industry I am as picky as they come, Mike s technicians actually spend the time necessary to troubleshoot and diagnose a problem and not just throw parts at it to see what happens. They always use the best quality parts available and stand behind their work 100%. I highly recommend TechAge automotive for general maintenance and repairs. I always leave his shop with confidence that the repairs were done correctly and professionally. Thank you Mike for being there when I need you.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Auto battery replacement, Steering & suspension repair, Auto water leak repair, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Auto battery maintenance, Air conditioning, Auto maintenance, Oil change

We have taken the 2001 Jaguar XKR and the 1965 Cobra (kit car) to them for many years. Their knowledge and work performed on these vehicles is outstanding. They kept us informed about their progress or what needed additional work. They do not recommend work just to increase profits. They are honest, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Tech -Age Automotive for any vehicle repair or maintenance.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had some major work done on my truck at Tech-Age Automotive and I am so happy with the work and their customer service. I ve waited over a month to write this review so I could be completely satisfied with the work. Still running like a champ. Props to the automotive technician that did the work. Not going anywhere else.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wheel alignmentServices: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wheel alignment

Walter is very professional and friendly. They replace the radiator on my 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500. Was very reasonable and very quick turnaround. They use Quality Parts and did not try to upsell me or try to sell me anything I didn't need. I would say they're very honest and the shop is very clean. They do a lot of vintage automobile work as well. They service any make any model.

I've been to Tech Age twice. When I first checked them out, I saw the kind of cars in the shop, quality of the builds and the grey hair that was working on them. Classics, hot rods just like mine. I started with easy tasks and they got a bit more complicated on the second visit. In both cases I got an estimate ahead of time which I felt was reasonable and a promise of delivery, both of which were met. I found the interaction welcoming and honest. I think shop rate is competitive but shop rates only matter if the number of hours charged against the work is reasonable. They made the repairs I needed efficiently. Fair handed and honest. I'll be back.

Mike, the shop owner, is exceptionally helpful with diagnosing my old Toyota. He even accommodated with my work scheduling by staying late. He took the time to carefully explain different damaged parts. He thoroughly answered any question I asked. Thanks to him I was able to make an informed car purchase. Even though, this is my first time visiting the shop, I was treated like a long-time customer. 5 stars for customer service and expertise. Definitely will recommend to families and friends!

Mike has been taking care of my business truck for several years. I have always found Tech-Age to be fair and honest. They have never been aggressive, but simply recommend needed repairs and always explain their recommendations. I recommend Tech-Age to everyone looking for a good mechanic.

Nothing worse than a woman who knows virtually nothing about the 1996 Corvette I drive except how much I love it. And when I need any kind of maintenance or repairs I take it to Mike at Tech-Age Automotive. He has a fabulous team of mechanics and an extremely knowledgeable service writer Troy, that explains even the most smallest of details. Definitely not the cheapest however repairs & service are done right and Mike stands behind his staff's work even sometimes past the warranties in some cases. Treat yourself while you are there and look at all the classic cars that are in Mikes shop. It's Disneyland for classic car enthusiasts.

Absolutely great place for all your automotive needs, had to get my front brakes done and was able to bring in my own parts. Mechanics are top notch and take pride and ownership of their service. Troy Night my service consultant was very friendly and helpful, I'm new to the area and heard about this place from a family member. You do not get lip service when you come in and they will stand behind their services even if it cost them to do it right!

Tech-Age is a great custodian of your classic car. They have serviced and maintained my 1964 Lincoln Continental and 1969 Chevy Malibu over about the last 10 years and have kept them on the road and in terrific condition.

I have looked for an auto repair shop that has the experience and integrity for years. I found Tech-Age and have been with them ever since! I can expect only the best from them. If it takes a little longer to complete the job, they call you and explain the situation. It's very rare that will happen, but if it does...believe me, it's worth the wait! I recommend that you check Tech-Age out before you commit to anywhere else. 5 stars all the way!

My experience with Tech Age has been a long nightmare that is likely to end up in court. Delay after delay. I pay in full and "Rick" tells me my car is a piece of junk (1949 dodge coronet being restored). My car was fine enough to spend thousands on at their place prior to that announcement. More to follow when this matter is resolved but if you're thinking of tech age I'd have to wonder if the great reviews are home made or close friends.

I would highly recommend Tech-Age. These are courteous, accommodating professionals who were a pleasure to give my business. They were recommended by my dealer for a front end alignment on our RV and it was done in an hour.Service: Wheel alignmentService: Wheel alignment

Very happy to have found a great shop to deal with my 1973 Cougar. I was referred to Tech-Age by another collector car owner and am extremely satisfied by the attention to detail and that Mike looks beyond the initial problem car was brought to him for, he makes it easy to recommend his shop which I will certainly do. Thanks Mike. Nigel Carlton

Why go to the dealers' service centers when Mike and team can take care of your maintenance needs just as well if not better? Always a pleasure to have my car serviced here. Very professional, courteous and friendly staff and very reasonable prices.

My grandfather gave me a 2002 Ford Ranger it had issues with the motor misfiring rough idle no power I took it to a buddy that worked at Ford for 17 years he rebuilt the motor $2,200 when I got the truck back it was in the same condition as when I got it he kept dodging me so I called around tried 5 different mechanics no one could figure it out ended up calling Ford in Palm Springs they recommended me to Tech age Automotive and Thousand Palms they recommended that the motor be rebuilt again for $3,000 they gave me the truck back in the same condition I got it I explained to them I previously just spent $2,200 and now 3000 and my truck is still not fixed they said they didn't know it was wrong and they would look at it and need more time 2 weeks later they discovered that the oil pump screen was clogged with silicone they said they put a new oil pump and cleared as much silicon as possible however there might be some residual no issues all winter long except for a bad fuel injector which I paid $1,000 to replace all fuel injectors with tech age come summer again I'm experiencing same symptoms as day one so I take it back it stalled out while doing my pool route no oil pressure the truck just turned off so I take it back to Tech age they tell me there is a bad wire on the mass air flow sensor and sell me some gasoline apparently I didn't have enough $400 later I drive around the corner first red light my truck dies they have done work on my wife's car replace the radiator for $700 the car works great I've had alignment done on two vehicles not so great I think I have mentioned a new motor every time I break down they suggest taking a look and moving forward I'm at the point where I am going to shop around for a new motor from a new shop money is not the issue I just want someone to tell me what is wrong with my truck or recommend a new motor tired of putting money into something that keeps breaking down they seem like a really good shop but it's time to move on maybe my truck is too much of an issue for them I need a guru Ford Guru a racing Ford guy please recommend a great shop that will replace my motor and not try to fix the old in ways that make no sense this last trip felt like they took me for my money I try my best to give multiple chances like I say time to move on however they do have lots of 30s 40s 50s and 60s vehicles maybe I'm out of the norm still waiting for a call back four numbers on a new motor however I don't think they want to work on my truck too many headaches for themService: Engine repair

ok Im a straight shooter and I believe in telling it like it is. No BS and no butt sniffing. I was sent to tech age by some people I consider to be trustworthy. I took my econoline show van to tech age and left it with them for two really simple things... First they were supposed to tune the new crate motor a ford 302. Second they were to find out why I had no brake pedal and fix it. this aint rocket science. I get the van back and it runs like junk. the carb is too fat for the motor and they didn't bother to jet it down and there apparently was no pointer to time the motor so they never really timed it. AND THEY NEVER TOLD ME... so it comes back to me after a big bill cause these guys aint cheap and runs like junk.... Then they say it was water in the brake fluid causing the problem so they rebled it with new fluid and it arrives home with guess what... NO BRAKE PEDAL.... so it comes home in the same condition it left my house. I have my trusted crew chief rebleed the van correctly and now I have a pedal so what did I get for my thousand dollars or whatever amount it was I forget...... NOTHING but BS. And the owner MIke is completely uninterested in dealing with customers and much prefers to just sit there and count money. Hes ready for retirement just like his dad who moved. So in a nutshell these knuckleheads are sooooo fired it isn't even funny. I do not recommend these guys at all. a failing grade..... F.

Mike and his team consistently provide quality mechanical care for classic and newer model vehicles. The bench strength is pretty deep with Rick and his gang overseeing the ins & outs of repairing many older modles as well as the new cars. Mike runs his business based upon value and honesty which is reflected in the satisfaction level of the line-up of new customers in the Palm Springs/Coachellella Valley area of SoCal.
