Kimberly at the front desk and Dan in the shop are both super helpful and knowledgeable. After getting a bogus diagnosis from a dealership, Dan was able to take a look and shoot me straight. They got all the work done insanely quick and I was on my way. I also called back and asked a few questions and they were super happy to answer them and give advice. 10/10 would recommend!

AC not cooling in my old Honda Civic. Dropped it off in the morning and it was ready to go in the afternoon. System was checked and found leaks that were repaired. I ve always had good experiences and have had multiple vehicles repaired here. Dan is a great guy, always tells me the options and possibilities, and he s honest and upfront about all of it. The guys working there seem professional, knowledgeable and focused on their work. I ll keep coming back as long as it goes that way.Service: Air conditioning

Definitely recommend this place!My car battery was completely dead and could not turn my car off without it being jumped. Crossing my fingers they had my battery in stock and they did & changed it within minutes. Super friendly mechanics and affordable. I live in Paso, but feel I will come to Templeton when I have car issues (hoping I don't lol) but when I do, they will be who I rely on!Service: Battery

I want to take a minute to leave this business a good review. I lived in Templeton for 12 years just down the street from this shop. They have always done right by me. I do most of my own mechanical work on my vehicles, and when there is an issue that I can't fix, I trust them to get it right. Also, their smog check process is always painless. Good small town business.

I love this auto shoo. Squeezed me in their busy schedule. Defiantly going back for future repairs. Everyone was super nice and never felt rushed through the process. 5 Stars!!! Reasonable, honest, accommodating. Dan special ordered my Mazda's cabin filter and got it installed later that same day and gave me the results of a tire inspection. Took vehicle in believing it was timing chain issues. Expected to pay $2500-$3000. They diagnosed my problem as something minor and fixed the vehicle for $240. I brought my car in to get the air conditioner fixed as it sometimes malfunctioning and I wouldn t have any air conditioning at times. It happened to be blowing air at the time I brought it in though, so they said it seems fine and sent me on my way with an air conditioner that still didn t work properly, and I was hopelessly thinking it couldn t be fixed. The issue got worse and I was more frequently left without air conditioning as the weather got hotter, so I called again and asked them to try again and look harder but I couldn t get another appointment with them for 6 days even though I had already brought my car in and they hadn t fixed it. I couldn t stand having a hot car for that long, so I called Paso Robles Auto Repair. I was able to bring my car in the next morning, they looked at my air conditioner and get this, the Freon was low. Freon is the liquid that makes the air conditioner cool. Refilling it was a simple fix that took about an hour. There is no reason for Templeton Smog and Service to have not seen that, so clearly they decided to not do their jobs properly and didn t check everything because it was blowing air at the time. If I hadn t gone to Paso Robles Auto repair and waited for Templeton Smog and Service, I would still have a hot car with a malfunctioning air conditioner and even then it might not have been fixed. If I had not gone here at all and went somewhere competent in the first place, my air conditioner would have been fixed a long time ago and I wouldn t have had so much trouble with it. What a waste of time. I will definitely be using Paso Robles Auto Repair and not this place from now on.Service: Air conditioning

As a woman who knows very little about cars I love this place. It was suggested to me as a trustworthy no nonsense shop and I feel very comfortable with them. I have been helped the most by Anthony. He explains how it's gonna go, professional, nice then gets to work. It's quick great service, more than fair price. I've lived North and South of these guys and would go out of my way to come here for the peace of mind that I am getting advice a brother would give me. Thank you!

Went to get a smog check. After going to 4 others because would take 2 hours to get to it. Even though they were busy said we could do it right now. Took 20 minutes. I highly recommend them. They are awesome and very friendly staff.

My go to spot for a smog service. They get the job done in about 20-30 minutes. Fair pricing, and respectful in person. Convenient location right in downtown Templeton, so the wait for the smog to be finished can be spent grabbing a bite to eat from a nearby business.

Just had a great experience getting my car smogged. I walked in with no appointment. They took my car right away. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. Price was good. I will come back here for my next smog.

I sure love this place. It is not the biggest part store in the world but somehow they always have the stuff I need. The staff there are incredibly helpful and always go out of their way to make sure you get what you need. you have to love the small-town part stores as they are a totally different experience than a big box store but I wouldn't have it any other way

Best Mexican food on the central coast! We had soup, and LaPatron Chile Relanos. Everything was fresh and the staff was great. Fair pricing! We will be back!!

I took a perfectly fine operating car in for a smog check, when I came back my entire charging system was fried. They blamed it on me leaving my headlights on when I dropped the car off. That's impossible in 2000 Camry - you can't leave the lights on and get out of the car with the keys. The owner, Brian Caruana, refused to correct the situation.Reply to the owner's reply: I gave Brian the chance to show me how I could have possibly left my lights on with the keys out of the ignition (literally in Brian's hands!). I told him if he could show me how that could happen, I'd take full responsibility. Brian refused to even try, probably because he knows it can't be done. Templeton Auto clearly damaged my charging system and refused to take responsibility for it.

16 yr old son took his vehicle in as it was overheating - they told him he needed a new thermostat and radiator cap - 3 days later the radiator blew and cracked. Called the manager, Dan - took no responsibility as he said there was no way to tell that the radiator was plugged, his solution to make this right was to bring the vehicle back and they could sell me a new radiator as a cracked radiator could not be repair.
