Had transmission problems took it to a shop and they said it may need a new transmission but they are not a transmission shop that was on Monday so I finished my pool route in escondido and then check engine light just so happened to turn off and my truck started driving fine. Tuesday morning on my way to work same thing started happening and truck wouldn't shift turned around stopped and googled transmission shops found Walter brought it to him and he got me back on the road next day by 10 if I could give him 10 I would I highly recommend him he's very good calm straight forward guy and his employees are very well taken care of just by talking to them. I never ever write reviews about anything but he stood out and wanted to let everyone who checks him out that they are in great hands. Thank you again Walter I appreciate you.

I'm so glad I found Walter. I had the transmission in my '06 Ram 3500 rebuilt by someone else and it didn't last very long. Huge disappointment, these aren't cheap to rebuild.Walter's rebuild fixed both the inherent factory problems these transmissions are known for and the screw ups from the last rebuild. I now have a better than factory transmission that operates flawlessly. The work was completed on time and true to the estimate. The quality of the components are better than what I asked for.Walter does it right. Thanks, Man!

Walter was a Godsend to us. I thought we had a problem with our transfer case, but it was the front drive shaft. Went to him on Wednesday, he said he would have the part Friday and install it then. We are traveling in our RV and had to find another place to stay Friday night. He told us we would be staying at his shop and we could hook our power to the shop. He told us he would save us some money. He had the Jeep fixed by 3 o'clock, when he closed, we parked behind his shop, and even though he was closed on Saturday, he opened up so we could disconnect our power. He did the work at a very reasonable price. We couldn't be any more satisfied with our experience with Walter. Highly recommend Walter's Transmission Shop to anyone!

After having my transmission rebuilt (twice) at another facility and a horrible fail, I had my 2010 suburban towed to Walter. Although no one wants to jump in and fix someone else s mistakes and nightmare, he was empathetic, kind and knowledgeable. I picked up my car yesterday and she shifts and operates like new. I want give a big THANK YOU to Walter. He operates a transmission shop that you can trust. Service: Transmission

Despite troubleshooting my own transmission, Walter gave advise and guidance on key areas to look more closely. The shop was able to rehabilitate a used valve body another shop slapped together. It came back with all the wear and scoring on the valve polished out. Very reasonable rates and delivered as promised.He has earned my trust and will receive my recommendation to anyone looking for service.

I was told that the mechanic was unable to locate my vehicles Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor. I find it strange that a transmission shop had issues locating something like this. I have been looking for a few weeks for transmission shop. I have been on the phone with more than I can count. I was beyond impressed with the customer service I received. So much so as I will be traveling from AZ to bring my vehicle to them.

I was having an issue with my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500, and did some digging on transmission mechanics in the area, and found Walter. I decided to give Him a call after seeing a lot of good reviews, and a recommendation on an online diesel forum. I described my issue over the phone, and after taking it for a test drive, turns out that it is time for a rebuild... I went in to drop the truck off, and talked with Walter for a few minutes. This guy loves what he does. Went to the effort to explain the process, and some cool things he does to make his transmissions last longer and he gave me a little tour.Well, I picked up my truck today and it shifts like a dream. Thanks Walter for your diligent work, and for your help in getting us back on the road before summer camping season!!

Went there because of the 5 * review...I was able to talk to Pete and Walter about my vehicle needs. They did exactly what my car needed and the outcome was perfect. Now I plan to bring my classics for service. Definetely will recommend and support an honest business.

I had a backyard mechanic in canyon lake that recommended a transmission shop in Temecula. After I notified them, they said they couldn't get me in for about 10 days. I couldn't wait that long so they recommended Walters. I took my 1956 Ford F-100 pick up to Walters and he was able to diagnose my problem as being a defective torque converter. He replaced it and gave me a veteran discount and paid for a person to come in and detail my truck before I drove away. He became "A #1" after that. I later had a problem with my 2007 Ford explorer transmission. I purchased an extended warranty when I bought it that covered transmissions. Walter's installed the transmission sent by the warranty company. A few months later, I was camping in Yuma Arizona and my transmission started leaking. I took it to a local transmission shop and they informed me that it was a broken plug that was used to check the fluid level. The warranty company adjuster informed me that it wasn't covered because it was hardware. I was charged $108 for the repair. After I returned home, I notified Walter's and told him of what happened to me in Arizona. Even though the transmission was not rebuilt by him but was a replacement from the warranty company, he reimbursed me for the entire amount I spent in Arizona. I will never go anywhere else for as long as I live. I promise you that.

I was referred to Walter by a family friend who owns a body shop and custom Jeep shop and he said Walter would do a great job. In short, he did. Thanks Walter. He didnt try to upsell me or get me to spend unnecessary amounts of money. I appreciated that.

Walter recently overhauled the transmission in my 1956 Packard. Very few shops would be willing to take on an Ultramatic overhaul, but Walter didn't hesitate to rise to the occasion. He did an absolutely splendid job and it now shifts as smoothly as it was originally intended to do......maybe even smoother!!! Thank-you Walter!

Highly recommended. Brought my truck by thinking my transmission was developing problems. Walter and Pete both drove my truck and checked for errors in the computer. They told me my transmission was fine. No charge. When the time comes, I will be back.

Did I use this business? Well no he was supposed to call me back in 20 minutes and never did and when I called him? I got voice-mail. Not a great start so therefore just crossed him off my list.
