Kenny, Clay, and the team at Makestar Automotive Temecula delivers excellent service and keeps my Saturn in top condition. One call, and you ll see for yourself a level of care you just don t typically find. Whether big or small, they ll provide a comprehensive estimate and will keep you well informed about necessary repairs every step of the way. We are so impressed by how they have honored our time by reliably making repairs quickly. On the other hand, as customers, we have never felt rushed. Both Kenny and Clay will take the time to completely answer any of your questions. For over 30 years, they have built a glowing reputation and have been a part of our community. Though we don t know them by name, their master technicians are clearly skilled, as we ve never had to return with the same issue. I ve referred my parents, and would recommend Makestar to anyone looking for skilled, honest, and fair automotive service.

Our family has been coming to Makestar since 2014. Every experience has been AMAZING! Without an Appointment Kenny, Clay, & Steve took care of us as family this week. they were able to replace our headlight, turn signal, and license plate light bulbs knowing we had plans to take our family to big bear through a snow storm.Thanks again Makestar!

Great shop for our Odessey van s maintenance. They researched a vibration issue and solved it with a computer update. We are so pleased with the repair and the 5 mpg improvement in fuel economy.

Honest, friendly and above all else smart! All these things end up giving you the best value for car repair. If you re looking for a local mechanic, this is a no brainer.Diagnosed some very difficult to find problems on my car that were missed or ignored by dealers and other shops. They were able to do this through a thorough inspection along with their years of experience. Along with that, they provide pictures in an easy to read format through a text link to a web app. Thank you!

Makestar is a great family owned business. All the guys are awesome - always super friendly, customer focused and professional. Steve and Kenny are the best. Makestar always conducts a thorough inspection and the guys let me know if there s anything urgent vs what to keep an eye on down the road. The Saul's family are great people to do business with. Always fair pricing, detailed explanation of the work which needs to be done and suggestions on best ways to get the repair done as inexpensively as possible. I will not take my cars anywhere else. They are the best! No hesitation to recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great repair shop.

Great Auto Repair Shop! I have been taking my cars here ever since I started driving. I have been driving for 10 years (legally) now and I haven't found a better quality shop than Makestar. Everything from the knowledge they offer to the price of their work, all around I know I can count on them. Steve Sr. (and Jr.) are amazing to work with. Ever since I was a kid driving Sr. kind of taught me a little bit about cars (albeit because I had to bring my car in to learn :p). Honestly the best way to describe it is I feel like I'm taking my car to another family member, not just a mechanic. I love this place and as long as I'm in the area, I will always go here. I've referred other friends here and they won't go anywhere else either. You won't be disappointed.

Family owned and the nicest people! Honest and fair. Took my van in for overheating problems. Thought it would cost me around $255 dollars but was less than $200. 8 out of 10 times I have been ripped off (because I am a women) and they are one of the two who are honest. I recommend them to anyone needed their car repaired or serviced.

I was in there yesterday for my starter motor to be replaced. I ve also had an axle, clutch, alternator, water pump done over the years. My car has 267k miles and that is in huge part due to their repairs. Steve Sr. the owner, KNOWS how to run a business, and understands how cars work! It s a family run business and I cannot say enough good things about them. In 10 years of dealing with them, they are by far my favorite in the Temecula Valley. The best part? They are honest, reviews speak for themselves.

Quite possibly the best auto repair shop I've ever seen! I'm from out of town: I was on the road and my car was acting up. They squeezed me in last minute and diagnosed the problem I was having. Their customer service was top-notch. They were friendly and everything was explained in detail. Their prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend you give Makestar a try! They will save you time and money!

First let me say I've been bringing my vehicles to Makestar for a few years. I got their info from friends who bring their cars there. I never had a bad experience. They do decent work, for slightly less than the dealer. Last week I took my BMW there, and dropped over $1000. A couple months prior to that my Hyundai was there and I spent more money with them. All good. A couple weeks ago I called them and spoke with Steve on pricing for a roof rail install on my new Acura. Steve, called me back with a voicemail saying $700 out the door taxes paid, for an OEM rack. I called Steve back, got and appointment, and this morning took the car in to get the job done. When I went to pick the car up, they presented me with a bill for $1200. When I told them Steve had quoted me $700, they called him. Steve came in, called his parts dealer, and told me the part lists for $650 and out the door my cost is $860.00. I had Steve's voicemail to me saved, and let them hear the quote he had given me for $700. Anyway, so now their price had gone from $1200 (still don't know why they wanted to overcharge me so much) to $890 ($190 higher than his original quote, and $90 higher than Acura's quote). Now my mistake was, in the morning when I signed the work docs, somewhere in there was the full price of the part. Yep, I signed for $1200. My bad. Early morning, I'd left my readers in the car, had 2 kids with me, work on my mind, and could barely make out any fine print on the quote. So I signed. I also trusted them, as I really had no reason to think they would charge me anything different from what Steve had originally quoted me. At the end, I ended up paying them $860 and getting my car. Steve claimed he had made a mistake. I can't believe that. First, everyone knows they don't pay list for a part. If the part costs $650 list, he has plenty of room to accommodate me. Originally when I spoke with him I explained I could pickup the part for $440 on-line, he sharpened his pencil and quoted me $700 out the door. Then I made the mistake of signing for the higher price. Granted he did drop his final price from $1200 to $890 (I guess he could've nailed me for the full price). But what a joke that he would even jack up a price that high to begin with. Is that really an honest price for this job? The worst part of this is I have 4 cars, each of which has been to Makestar for work. Each of my cars would have gone back to Makestar for more work, but now I won't be going there again. For $190 he loses a very nice amount of business for quite a few years to come, from a local customer. Bad business. Makestar loses.

I really trust Steve and his crew. They are very honest and will not try to sell you something you don't need. They now do an inspection of your vehicle and you decide the issues you want fixed. No high pressure. Very friendly staff. I highly recommend this place!

Brought my 1994 Ranger in for some AC work thinking it would never blow cold air again in it's life. They made a quick repair and now it's back to original performance! Oh and their vehicle inspection through a text app is awesome too!

Simply the best auto repair in town.. If your looking for an honest repair see the folks at Makestar Auto I've been doing business with Steve 12+ after moving from San Diego. It's was difficult finding a great repair shop, well I'm happy now!

I have taken 2 of our vehicles to Make Star Automotive. I have been pleased with there service and above all the honesty. Several times they have helped me in the parking lot with warning sensors and sent me on my way without charge. Very helpful.

Horrible employees! They were frustrated on a car they were working on and was talking very rudely to a veteran. This employee didn t apologize and thats after we confronted him, this upset me. Don t recommend them!

These guys are really honest and are not pushy about what services you need done on your vehicle. They will let u take your time weighing your options before doing the work on your car and will only do the work you agree to. No more, no less. I got an entire used engine put into my car and it did take awhile but it was done right.

I took my car to Makestar Automotive to get a second quote for some work I needed done. They gave me a great deal, were honest with me, and even helped me with a ride home when they kept my car overnight. I'll definitely be returning!

The service here was absolutely fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, so I'll definitely come back. I checked a couple other places in the area and they had the lowest prices. Would totally recommend.

Its been years but they did a swap for me in my 93 Civic Hatch, came out flawless, drove the car for an additional 2 years and sold the car no prob, always passed smog and ran great, thanks guys!
