My 14 Silverado went in with a completely messed up transmission and they had it back to me in four days. I was hesitant about not having it done at the dealership since that s where I always have taken my vehicles but they were scheduling ten days out so I googled the best place for transmissions and AAMCO was the obvious choice.Steve was incredibly helpful and awesome about keeping me informed of what was going on and the final price was reasonable considering the amount of work they had to do and the warranty they include.These guys were great and deserve every one of the five stars.

Great bunch of guys. Got my truck done ASAP. After having my truck done . I thought I was having transmission problems with my Impala I took it back to aamco .to my to my surprise turn out to only be a loose plug wire.they only charged me for the diagnostic to get it fixed Merry Christmas to me thank you guys so much can't say enough good things about your staff. honesty integrity and expert staff .you got a customer for lifeService: Transmission

Excellent customer service!! However, I ended up using a different repair shop because I like to know the exact cost before committing to a service and the low - high numbers they gave me was a little too broad for my comfort.

Sales manager has a good speal charged 4K took twi weeks and said they were the best. Rebuilt our transmission only to break down just down the block after the work was done and supposedly tested it out. They did redo it and now we have starting issue because a gas line pressure leak which we research is common after having transmission work done. Called twice the manager said he never heard of this in 30 years and said to drop it off but it was now going to take 3 days or more before they can even look at it. Gave me the exact same song and dance how they were overloaded and were short staffed. After agreeing to take it in his true colors showed and abruptly hung up on me. Wow 30 years in the business and its showing. Sad to be at the end of this one after spending 4K here.Service: Transmission

Brought my wife's 2002 Acura in for a transmission evaluation. Steve greeted me in the office and was courteous and friendly. I explained we'd purchased the vehicle a month or so ago, and I had done some maintenance on the car, but we were having some issues with the transmission. Filled out some simple paperwork and left the vehicle overnight, so they could look at it the next day. I spoke with Steve the following day and they were not able to duplicate the issues we're having with the transmission, but they did advise some things to look at. Service was offered, or suggested in both an email and a paperwork form, showing the evaluation. Kind of like getting a report card on the car, which I thought was great. I thought this AAMCO and Steve were great, I appreciate the fact he didn't try to sell me on expensive repairs. And, I believe if he said I needed replacement or repairs, he would advise me honestly and fairly. I'll return to this location again if I need something done.Service: Transmission

Took my 84 Ranger in for a transmission leak and it ended up being a seal in a super hard to reach area. Dropped off the truck and they took and look and replaced and fixed it free of charge for being such a simple repair. Will forever bring my vehicles back here to the Temecula location because of Kerry for any and all repair needs.Service: Transmission

This is THE PLACE!!!! Best people in town! Always straight talk, no up sales. I never have a problem with any work they have done! They go above and beyond to make sure your car is the best it can be! We love Steve and Carry! Ask for them and you won t be sorry! I don t take my cars anywhere else for major work! I can not put in to words how awesome our experience was with the Temecula Aamco. To say they were beyond professional would be an understatement. We took our car there for transmission issues. Within a day, the problem returned. I expected the same run around and dishonest practices I had in the past with mechanics. However, to my surprise. Not only did they search diligently to find the error, they didn t charge us for the additional repairs that were missed because they honor their work. Probably the most honest and reasonable business I have dealt with in a real long time. Thanks guys!!! Amco has built several transmissions for me Personally it's the only shop in town I would suggest They have built 2 Ford transmissions and one Chevy transmission for me that are all still working great, When they use a master kit you get the whole kit plus torque converter

I have transmission Problem on my pickup. They could have toook my money and gave me some kind of service and said sorry it didn't help, maybe you can get repiaired at the dealer under to warranty. Afer looking things over and making a few test and invising about a half hour, the statement was ttake it back to Chevy Dealer and tried to get it repaired under rt's warranty. No Change for that good information.Service: Transmission

Called them to see if they could checkout my transmission on my Nissan sentra. It lost some power going up hill and I had the codes read and it said it was the torque converter clutch solenoid is faulty, or the torque converter itself. Long story short they tell me it's $975 to take it apart and see what the problem is so I agree. They tell me they are going to save me thousands of dollars compared to a dealership. 5 days later I get a call telling me it's going to be approximately $4000.00 to fix. I told them that didn't save me money and just to put it back together so I can pick it up. They said it's going to be another $975.00 to put it together smh! These people are rip offs. I told them to just get everything together and I'll have it towed to an honest shop. I expected better from AAMCO and drove from two cities away to get service. I should have known better. Please proceed with caution if you ever decide to use business in Temecula CA. Service: Transmission

FIVE STARS for Chris. He replaced my starter & battery, after Chris did a little inspecting & cleanup under the hood my check engine light turned off after being on almost a year!! This shop was fantastic being an old mechanic myself & having an old vehicle I've had issues with shops and mechanics that can't figure whats wrong without a computer telling them and overcharging for work that wasn't needed. Steve the man in charge was quick had the problem taken care of and didn't upsell me I was afraid I needed new transmission thank you very much will bring my business here again.

My transmission was slipping so I took my car in at 9am. They called about 3 hrs. later and said it wasn't my transmission and wanted my permission to perform diagnostics. I didn't hear back so I called about an hour before they closed and was told they didn't know anything else yet. The next day they said after cleaning an oxygen sensor they drove it and it was my transmission. They wanted 975 to take it apart to tell what was wrong and then it would be another 1500-3500 to fix it. I went to pick my car up and pay for the diagnostic service. I had a coupon for 10% off any service that I gave them after my paperwork was ready and I was told I couldn't use it because I didn't give it to them earlier.I found a transmission shop in Riverside that is going to take my transmission apart and completely rebuild it for 2000.Service: Transmission

Not very knowledgeable or willingness to put you in the right direction seems like just bring it in and will give you a free estimate..Sorry in the customer service business and see this all to often.To badmouth another dealership "paradise Chevrolet " no thanks rule #1 never bad mouth your competitors or another business..After reading your reviews I wont be using your company and I have 11 vehicles in my fleet. Took my equinox in due to an engine stall and brief engine light coming on. They quickly diagnosed the problem and were able to repair the faulty part despite them being busy. Honestly they took away a lot of my worries and gave me peace of mind keeping me updated on what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. I had Steve at AAMCO Temecula replace my transmission at 101,000 miles in my 2019 Chev Suburban he beefed it up due to knowing I drive a lot and offered me a 100K mile warranty vs Chev 12K or 30K Very very happy with that. Then when dropping a client in San Diego @ 5:30 am on a Sunday after stopping at a stop sign, the vehicle seems to grind in disengage, lunge, and then nothing. Totally shut down my business. I had the vehicle towed to AAMCO in Temecula and thinking it would take a few weeks maybe, Steve called me 3 days later said come pick up your Suburban. SHOCKED to say the least, he said that he put me in front of 20 other cars already in the que for repair. HIS WARRANTY WAS ROCK SOLID DIDN'T CHARGE ME A DIME to repair. Double 5 Stars!!!

Called David said to bring the truck in to have it check and leave it. I agreed. I arranged a ride home, took time off to drop it off before they closed. Arrived at 445 when they close at 5, I know it was cutting it close. Shop already locked the doors, no one around or answered the phone. Waste of my time, my rides time!!!!**Spoke with the manager Steve, he informed me that they close whenever that want to without notice or warning. He was very rude and did not want to help with the situation. Had me on speaker phone pounding at his computer which was very loud. He Did not apologize for the shop closing early and would not speak to the employee who closed up early. Had no intentions on fixing the situation.Lost all respect for this location and will never do business or recommend anyone!

Honest, professionals is the best description I can come up with for the guys at this shop! I came in expecting the worst possible news for my transmission, I dropped it off and told them to take their time and go through it and let me know the damage. A few days later, I recieved a call and was told there was nothing wrong besides low transmission fluid (which was the first thing I checked and recieved a false reading) and a loose hose fixture. Them holding true to their free diagnostic promise they topped off the fluid, tightened the hose and didn't charge for the 2 minute job. I even offered to compensate for their time. L9ng story short, this isn't the type of shop to make up erroneous claims of repairs or take advantage of customers. They have my business for every vehicle I own from here on!

Really surprised at the poor reviews. I had a great experience here. I bought a lemon to say the least and already had put in more money than I had originally paid for the car before I felt what felt like my transmission slipping. I took it to three other mechanics before bringing it to aamco the reason being that they all gave me conflicting diagnostics of what the problem is and how to address it. essentially all of them told me that they cannot guarantee to even fix the problem and possibly I need a new transmission. the gentleman here did the most thorough inspection out of all of the other mechanics I want to. they suggested flushing out the transmission and replacing the filter but if that did not fix the issue the money that I spent towards that would be credited to whatever the repair would be needed this is more than any of the other places offered me so I decided to go with Aamco .am I ever happy I did .my car runs like new I'm so happy and saved a whole bunch of money thank you Aamco!

Very hostile staff specifically steven buchert (or something sounds like it) they said free diagnostic but I ended up paying 800$ for diagnostic test after which, they basically told me what I already knew( they advertised a free diagnostic) i was forced to pay to get my car back. I ended up fixing the car with less money than what the AAmco diagnostic test cost with different mechanic.Service: Transmission

The guys at AAMCO have worked on my car and my family s cars. They are so nice and always answer any questions I have. My cars get fixed quickly, and the prices are great! Definitely recommend for transmissions and any other car problems!

Horrible Customer Service!I purchased lifetime warranty of the transmission. This is the first year for my yearly transmission check-up to so my husband went to the scheduled appointment. To his surprise, Shelly told him that there is no rack available so they can not accept the car. What is the use of booking an appointment? Shelly didn't even call me to cancel my appointment. I called her on the phone to check what is going on with the appointment, she is unbelievably rude!They just want me to pay extra for a lifetime warranty and then make it hard for me to have my yearly transmission check to void the warranty! Do not buy the Lifetime transmission Warranty! It's totally a rip-off!

I was having a noise coming from what I thought was the transmission when axcellerating. Sounded familiar to when hitting passing gear. I dropped the truck off with Steve, and after test driving the vehicle, and taking a look at it, it was determined that the noise I was hearing was the air cleaner housing that had fallen loose and allowing excessive amounts of air causing the sound. Steve called and explained what was found and let me know that there was nothing wrong with the transmission. Steve was very professional and courteous and I will make sure people know how pleased I am with AAMCO and Steve in particular.Thank You for a Great Experience
