I have been getting my tires at this shop for at lease 15 years now. They always have the used tires I need, for a decent price. I dont know if they do anymore but sometimes they would have donuts in the office for customers. Its actually hard to find decent used tires where i live these days. Im glad I stopped to get the tire i needed replaced by these guys. Great place, honest shop. Thanks Tire Store for being a Tehachapi staple.

TLDR: The Tire Store's employees are unprofessional and in sore need of customer service training. Also, double check your tires for proper inflation when you leave (they massively overinflated mine).I bought a new set of tires for my pickup today. The service was fast and the tires seem well-balanced, however I do have many small and medium gripes that add up to a generally poor experience. I'll start with the biggest gripe and go down the list from there.I obtained a quote from their website before coming to the store. The quote states "Present this email for special internet pricing." I showed the email to the employee when they came by with the bill when the workers were almost done with the install. He said that price doesn't include the "Road Hazard" warranty. Sooo, not special internet pricing at all, just no up-sale I guess? The quote also stated that the price included a disposal fee. I requested to keep my old tires so I wouldn't get charged with that fee. However, the price on the invoice remained unchanged. The employee I was speaking to said he had to go make a new invoice for the "internet price." When he returned he began to scold and lecture me about presenting the email when I arrive so he wouldn't have to remake the invoice in the future. However, none of the conversations I had, up until he showed up at the END of the process, had anything to do with the cost of the service. They SHOULD have talked with me about a quote for their service BEFORE they did any work which would prompt me to ask for the not-so-special internet pricing. Lecturing your clients is rarely a good business strategy.The next gripe I have is that the tires were improperly inflated. I let the tires cool off for several hours at home before checking the tire pressure and found that all four tires were over-inflated -- some were 140% of the pressure recommended by my pickup's manufacturer! As a tire shop, they should know that improper inflation can be unsafe, causes excess and uneven wear, and reduces the life of the tires.The third gripe I had is a general lack of professionalism. Several of the workers were smoking while they were working indoors around my vehicle while I was still at the wheel. I'm not a labor lawyer but I'm pretty sure this violates several labor laws. I was there about an hour after they opened and the workers already looked like they were getting off a long shift in a coal mine.

Discovered a tire issue on our toy hauler en route to the desert while at the Love s in Tehachapi.Tried Love s who were no help but had the good fortune of getting ahold of the Tire Shop-We ended up deciding to replace all 4 tires and they worked like a NASCAR pit crew getting them changed.Very professional and thorough- prices also very competitive. Highly recommend and cannot thank them enough! Had a great trip from there on out. Great business- wish they were closer to home as I d use them for all our tire needs.

We roll up. They tell us to come back in an hour. We come back, and they let others in front of us...Also, someone was smoking in the shop, which was really gross. The music wasn't appropriate, and the staff behavior wasn't professional at all.

I came to the shop with an issue. The men on duty were extremely rude and condescending. I had a legitimate concern, yet they decided to diminish my worries. I'm never going back again.

Well. After hearing all the horror stories from folks about this place, I was hesitant to go. I've lived here around 4 years now and had never had to deal with my tires. Until this week. I've now been to the tire store tehachapi 3 times in the last week. Great week. although one of the threw times was not because of my car. They actually mounted a couple of ATV tires for me in no time flat for next to nothing. They're always relatively quick. It's a bunch of younger guys working so if you're easily offended by anything at all; just roll up your windows or don't pay attention. I personally don't care much at all and find it somehow entertaining sitting in my car while they fix my poor fortune for the day. Every time it's been inexpensive and fast. They've been polite and gotten the job done. For whatever it's worth to you. I'll go back. Not that there are many choices here in the bustling metropolis of Tehachapi. CA.

I've been back a few times. Today, I had another tire puncture and I was already driving on borrowed time with these tires, so I anticipated replacing all 4. I arrived about 8:30 and I drove away with 4 new tires just over 30 minutes later. They were helpful, friendly, and quick.Prior experience:I ran over a nail. The Tire Store got it out quickly and for cheap. It was all done, I paid and was given my key back to drive my car away in less than twenty minutes. Unfortunately, no one stick around the service counter for me to ask about prices for an oil change or to discuss the condition of my other tires. A missed opportunity. Also, the repaired tire was overinflated by a solid 5-6 psi.

Got there with a leak, told them the fleer carrier would pay. They did say the fleet carrier was a pain but did patch my tire. Just before leaving they told me no more, they only sevice the rail road trucks. So I called the fleet carrier and told them, but that should have been handeled by The Tire Store. Fleet guys beware.

I am a multiple repeat customer. I was helped by Gary, Dominic and Aiden in addition to a couple of others, who's name I did not get. They have always taken good care of me and offer lifetime tire rotation. I highly recommend them!

We came in to top off our dually tires after being told another shop didn t have the tools and couldn t help us. Aiden got us in, filled up all six tires, and sent us on our way with NO CHARGE! The guys were kind, quick, and even funny. Thanks!

I drive all the way from lancaster, ca. to tehachapi, to get my tires. Gary is a great guy with hard working employees. To me it says alot that i drive so far for my tires, considering that I pass two other, The Tire Store's, to get there. Never been unhappy with the tires i get from here.

I love the Tire Store - Tehachapi! They are always friendly, prompt and reasonably priced. If I could use a word to describe this place and the employees it would be integrity.As a woman I never feel uncomfortable or like I'm being treated differently and that makes me love this place even more!Went by this morning (a Tuesday) for an oil change and my car was done in less than 30 minutes! I won't ever go anywhere else.

Picked up a screw somewhere in one of our travel trailer tires. I was able to change it before leaving our campground in the morning. Called ahead to see if this shop could fix it close to their closing time. Told us to come on by. 20 minutes and $15 later, we were back on the road. I was able to swap it back myself later. Really appreciate the "we can" customer service!

I went to tire store last week because I had a screw in my tire. I spoke with Gary, the owner and asked him if he could sell me a used tire to get me til next year when I planned on replacing them all, he said sure.After my car was in the garage getting the tire put on, he came back and told me I needed to replace them all. Never purchasing tires before, I trusted him and said ok but asked how the top brand tires could be shot at 27k miles when they are rated at 60k. He said because I didn't get them rotated. I said ok and purchased 4 new ones for 1k bucks.My tires cames in so I went to get them put on today. As I was waiting, an employee came out and asked who told me I needed to replace my tires. I told him Gary. He told me there was a little wear on the front end tires but nothing that needed to be replaced. Of course Gary wasn't there today and when I asked for a refund, I was told no refunds for special order tires. I was then informed they don't align them and I would need to go to their other shop in Lancaster. However, I didn't. I took it to Goodyear in Lancaster and had a great experience doing business with them. The owner there said he could have saved me 200 had I bought the tires from him.So as far as doing ethical business, this place is the worst and I don't recommend them.As far as everything else, they don't allow you in their office. You wait for one of them to become available and then they come out. I asked if I could use there bathroom and it was truly the most disgusting bathroom I've ever seen in a business. The shop/garage is in disarray with trash and broken glass on the floor.If I could give them lower than a 1 I would.

I had a flat and showed up right as they were closing. They were extremely nice to let me in as the last customer and patch my tire despite the time. I am not from the area so it was important to have the job done and I was very thankful they took me in, and with a welcoming atmosphere as well. Along with that, very affordable price for a service that usually costs more at jiffy lube. Thank you guys!

These are good guys, very hard-working, even though prices have gone up, they try to keep the prices fair! Anyway, check them out great for oil changes too

Always helpful, always good prices, great staff! I love to shop local and give a family owned business my money than a big box or corporate company. Been going to these guys for 20+yrs and never once had a bad experience. Very friendly. Quick service and reasonable prices. No need to go anywhere else if you need an oil change, a flat fixed, new tires or rims. If they don't have it, they can and will get it. Great guys. Great shop. Convenient right there in Golden Hills. Definitely recommend this shop.

They do an awesome job. They have great customer service. They work very hard and give you the best deal they can. They don't try to over charge, they are truly about helping people and are very fair and affordable. I get my oil changed all the time and never have to wait long. They are very friendly. I would definitely recommend them for all your tire needs and for oil changes. They are also very quick...

I arrived on a Wednesday morning about 9:30. I was greeted by a very friendly staff that asked what type of service I needed. When I asked about a full service oil change they directed me to the bay. There was no one ahead of me so no waiting. They asked if I wanted to sit in my vehicle while they worked on it and of course I would rather be in the comfort of my car over the waiting room of a tire shop. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Maybe it was ladies day but my final bill was very reasonable. I m thankful to the new friend that recommended this shop for my oil change! I highly recommend it! I give it an A++

Best tire store on the mountain, Rosamond and Lancaster. Gary and his staff are very friendly and helpful. Great place for good deals on tires and free tire rotations when you buy your tires here. I go nowhere else.

We really like that this is a family owned and operated business. I was so impressed with the knowledge and efficiency of the owner and his staff. He recommended a quality tire that wasn t as costly for our older excursion. I couldn t believe how many guys he had working and at such a quick pace. We have since returned to get tires for our utility trailer where no one else had what we needed.

This is the best tire shop setup I have ever seen. These guys don't waste time. And they operate on first come first serve basis. Most cars are always in line. These guys Hustle Hard. We just had a tire that was leaking air. We waited in line for our turn. When they got on the car they were quick. Great job guys.

Today was my first visit to The Tire Store and I was super impressed! My tires were in much worse shape than I thought and it turned out that I needed 4 tires. Gary really came through with almost new used tires for an unbelievable price. I'm a customer for life now. Great job guys!
