This is my second time at Stress Free, and both times I've noticed really great customer service from the crew. They're extremely patient and explanatory, and I don't feel taken advantage of at all. They put in the effort make the customer educated, comfortable, and aware of what's going on.The first time I was at Stress Free, my engine blew out. When they started diagnosing the issue and found a limited warranty for my make and model, they gave me all the information I needed, told me my next steps, and charged me just a fraction of the diagnosis fee given the result of the diagnosis, even though they were fully able to charge me the full fee given the contracts I signed.The second time I was at Stress Free, they were already in a phone conversation with another customer. I noticed that the front desk worker was extremely patient with all the explanations, and was doing their best to make sure the customer understood the issues and the necessary remediation steps. When it came to my turn, we were able to ask some questions about the damage we were seeing. While they ultimately didn't end up inspecting my car, they gave honest opinions on the damage we mentioned, and sent us on our way after answering all our questions without charging us for their time or pushing us for an inspection.Super recommend going here if you have any car issues!

Took my vehicle in to replace a wheel rotor and bearings and do a full check of the car. While it was being worked on they told me they'd let me know what the engine code is "in an hour". Fast forward a couple days later and was never told what the code is. I was told they'd also do a smoke test on the car to see if there was an issue with the fuel system and this also was never done. I paid over a thousand dollars and don't have a clue what the engine code is and if it's safe to drive.They don't tell you how long it took for the labor charges.Expect to spend at least 2X what the parts are in labor charges.EDIT: couple weeks after getting serviced the drivers side wheel makes a squeaking sound. Totally don't trust these guys at stressfree

Fantastic, fast, thorough, honest service.The fact that photos were given to me with explanations of each necessary service suggestion ranked by importance is amazing. No pressure environment with a heavy focus on getting done what is necessary.The ranking system of Red safety issues, Yellow , and I believe Green is great. This illuminated what needs to be prioritised and what I can potentially hold off on, pricing was transparent and I didn t feel as if I was being cheated. The service was fast, honest, and well done. Our Subaru feels new again and we ll definitely be back with any of our future needs.

Stress-Free is very transparent with what they are doing and with costs. They ll run a diagnostics check and show you the higher priority issues and give you cost estimates as well as images of the issues. They wait for your confirmation to proceed with any of the work. I greatly appreciated how well they communicate and how quick and efficiently they worked to get me and my car back on the road.

Greg and Jeff were great to work with at the shop. They took care of my PPI to ensure I was well informed on my purchase. I will definitely be back to get some work done in the near future.

When I noticed low oil and leaks when doing my own oil change, Stress Free was great at letting us drop off on Saturday night and diagnosing it on Sunday. The inspection had clear photos and a detailed breakdown of issues, and was a reasonable price of $75. The only thing I was disappointed in were their parts prices, such as an air filter that was $55 before labor, but only $23 at a Toyota parts counter.

Really smooth and friendly experience for a 90K service for my 2012 Honda CR-V. I appreciated that I got updated by text a few times including a link to an inspection summary. The inspection broke things down into 1) Requires Urgent Attention (these items were taken care of in the 90K service), 2) Requires Future Attention (pointed out a couple things like battery condition, and ball joints leaking, but no one tried to sell me an extra services), and 3) Good Items (e.g.: transmission and brake fluids). The service was completed in 2 hrs though I was estimated at 4 hrs.When I went to pick up I remembered that they did forget to check on one thing I asked which was not part of the 90K service which was to look at why my physical key could not open the drivers side door even though the key turned. The guy indicated that it was likely a broken plastic part inside the door and that he'd order the part and follow-up with me on it. So far, no follow-up though.

Stress-Free did an oil change on my Audi A3. Very quick and efficient. Got an appointment online for the next day, brought it in and they started on time and it was complete in under and hour. Great job and thanks!

Thank you James! Left you a message 5 minutes before closing no doubt a busy time asking complex questions. You returned my call after closing time. Very helpful suggestions. Will look for tuner shops for help with alignment on my friend s 350Z which is lowered and widebody and can t be aligned on normal alignment systems.

Chris has been a delight to work with! He is very honest, professional and trustworthy. I came in for an oil and filter change as well as a diagnostic. He offered BY FAR the lowest price for my BMW in the entire area. He identified the issue and gave me reasonable quote. The office is exceptionally clean and offers charging cables, coffee, tea and water as well as a work station. I will definitely come back!

Very helpful with AC on my Subaru Forester. They fixed the compressor and condenser. Still had some issues that they couldn t quite solve after fixing the compressor and condenser, but they recommended me to another auto shop and covered the diagnostic fee. The other shop found a bad relay and fixed it. Would highly recommend this auto shop.

We booked a Saturday appointment We went in person, he said he doesn t see it although we provided cell no and confirmation number. He got the morning appointment at 9.30 on a Sunday morning again. The person suggested that we get the car back within an hour so we booked this early and appointment. When we reached there, the person was changed. He denied us service saying that he will cater to other cars first even though we had appointment with us. He was talking extremely rudely and raised his tone. Probably they do not entertain people with color #rude

Got an oil change appointment at 10:30 am, got my car in at 10:30, was told to come back in 2.5 hours, came back in 2.5 hours only to find out that nothing is done and was told that car won t get done the same day. So disappointing, so stressful, nothing stress free.

They did a great job with my car! They kept me informed on what was happening throughout the entire process and their reports have video or picture of any issue they identify. There were no surprise fees. My car had an engine light issue that was tricky to diagnose. They found one problem and fixed it but the light came on again the next day. They took it back the same day and went over it again. I only payed for parts and labor for the second visit. I finished my road trip the following day driving through most of the day and the car worked perfectly. If I ever need work done on my car while in the Bay Area I will be back.

Very professional! Explains everything in detail before work is done. Insured that any modifications to the original work was communicated before being done. The mechanic and the service manager were very hands-on and and showed us on the car where the issues were and explained how they happened. Came here as this mechanics shop was highly recommended on google and Nextdoor, but I won't be coming back here again.I called in to set up an appointment to have the AC system evacuated and recharged especially since their pricing seemed fair online, which was quoted to be around $230. I let them know I'll be waiting in the shop and I was told it wouldn't be a problem since it could be done in about an hour.I arrive at the scheduled time and get checked in. As I'm signing off and approving the fix for the car, I was shocked by the cost, which was something around $590 (well off the quoted $230). I told them that the online price was around $230, so they checked with another service writer/mechanic, to which they finalized checking me in. Now this service writer ended up charging me for 21.1oz (598g) of R134A because their system said so, where my car only takes 570g +/-20g. I thought it was weird, but they said it's what the system was telling them so I just let it be. The total ended up being $285 with a $15 coupon. From here, they told me it would take a few hours, even though they said it should be relatively quick over the phone. Thankfully the guy did start working on my car immediately, but I was quite unhappy about the interaction so far.Fast forward to going through the bill after I got home. While I was charged the $285 I agreed on at check in, I see that the bill had also charged me for a multi-point inspection (which I declined) and significantly less refrigerant was put into the system than quoted. In the end they only used 548g of refrigerant (per the bill). If they were honest, they wouldn't have charged me for the multi-point inspection that I declined and reduced the overall cost due to less refrigerant being used than initially quoted.TL;DR:- Online quote was ~$230, while checking in, I was given an estimate of ~$590. Another service writer came to the front after I mentioned it being wrong, and the cost went down to $285 with a $15 coupon.- Over the phone, I was told I could wait in the shop because it could be done in about an hour, but at the shop, I was told it would take a few hours. Thankfully, the mechanic started working on my car right away.- Charged me for more refrigerant (598g of R134A) than my system could take because their "system said so", even though there's a sticker in the engine bay that says 570g +/-20g of R134A- Charged for multi-point inspection even though I declined it- Total refrigerant use was much less than the quoted amount at 548g vs 598g.Service: Auto A/C recharge

I doNt Know How To Thank Chris And His Team For the Great Job they Have done Getting me My Vehicle Back on The Road Again. Came in Misfiring.. With Low Compression and Came out like new. Hard to find an honest shop in the Bay Area,this shop has a new edge on technology!Nice pictures of my vehicles status, I get to watch them working on my car while in the shop from a video feed!At the endPictures of every part of my car, the good, the bad, the immediate need repairs, all right there for me to say yes or no to!I came on a day before their holiday.. they were slammed but still helped me out.. perfect timingI would strongly recommend these guys to anyone who wants there car fixed right !

Their service is top notch! I went in to get some advice for my tires. I couldn't tell if it's time for new tires or rotation. Mr. Fuller the mechanic at the front desk is so kind, honest, and friendly. He was willing to do a quick check on my tires and gave me advice. He suggested that I could do a rotation no need a replacement which cost me $30 including initial basic inspection. I'd definitely come back for other services. Thanks for a stress-free care.

I had a great experience with this car repair shop. They were very friendly and professional, and they took the time to explain everything to me in a way that I could understand. They also made sure to answer all of my questions.I was initially concerned that I would need to replace my brake pads for my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe, but they were able to diagnose the brake pad and rotors and determine that I only needed to have my brake fluid refilled. This was a much more affordable option, and I accepted their recommendation.I would recommend this car repair shop to anyone who needs their car serviced. They seemed honest, friendly, and reliable, and they do great work.Service: Brakes

I went in to go see why my car was leaking oil. I dealt with John and Musa, they were amazing and very Knowledgeable. I was able to get my car serviced and fixed in a timely matter.
