Parked here by 10am in early February to hike and enjoy the Stinson Beach area. (Lots of spots early. Full when we returned to the car a few hours later.) We saw lots of information about not leaving valuables in sight, which we never do. Parking lot was ruddy in places, but it worked out great to park here while we explore this area!

Just far enough away to feel like a trip but close enough to still feel at home. Stinson Beach can be beautiful most times and other times.... weather makes it ugly. I for one have had way more positive experiences here. Weekends is the busiest I've seen this beach and the water is usually very refreshing anytime from 10 am to 4 pm. My all time favorite time though is after a hard days work, I try to get out here by 4:30 the earliest and just nearby is a fantastic lil plaza with ice cream and other food selections among the shops and then sit on the beach until about 7:30 pm. Most beautiful sunset I've seen in my life and I frequently pick Hawaiian islands to visit at random and still this sunset here is just symbolic to me.... ok exaggerations aside (Maui has the absolute best and most beautiful sunsets) it is very relaxing and an experience to be here at sunset.Restrooms: Fullsize restroom facilitiy with feet washing stations located along the outside

...after the fog burned off, was a glorious sunny day. Because the tide was so low I was able to access parts of the beach where the tide pools were. Many starfish!

Beautiful beach with great waves and sparkling sand. Come in early for better parking spot and picnic spot. There are station where pets can stay.Restrooms: Clean restroom and changing areaDog-friendliness: North side of the parking park. follow the sign when you enter. They are very strict with pet.Picnic area: There are bench and grill area.

We arrived at the entrance at 8:45am and there were already 2cars ahead of us waiting to enter. At about 9am, the queue line was already long about 15cars waiting to enter. The gate opened 9:05am. Parking is spacious and free. We parked then hiked going up to Mount Tamalpais and back to Stinson Beach via Dipsea Trail. Stinson Beach is beautiful and we plan to go back for a picnic.

As it is not tourist season, the parking lot was very empty. It was a nice refreshing place to take a break.

I will go to this beach every time I come back to Marin. It's a spiritual place for me haunted by too many memories and feelings than I could count

Only available from certain times of the day. Pretty rough and rutted out in some areas. Not clearly defined spaces so people park as they want creating a fairly inefficient method. There was however a good amount of space available for everyone to park.

I've been coming to this beach since I was 2. I have enjoyed this beach during each visit! I love how the sand is so powdery.

Loved the winding road to get to Stinson Beach ! It's a bit of a trek, so I think it keeps the numbers down. Sand was clean & the people were friendly..

Free to park, and plenty of space available when we visited late morning on a weekday in August. Located just metres (yards) from the beach. Not sure what else there is to say about parking.
