I recently bought a car from here and these guys have been nothing but respectful and helpful with any questions or concerns I had. I know multiple people who have purchased vehicles from here and if they ve had any issues, Chris and Sean have been incredibly helpful in getting them taken care of quickly and for a very affordable price. I knew going into this that they did not provide financing, and they were understanding of the process it takes to get a loan. They quickly registered my vehicle and provided me the plates, and provided me with a free oil change as the clutch was just replaced. During the test drive I was told not to speed or drive recklessly and it was offered that I could get onto the freeway if I so pleased while Sean was in the car, which shows me they trust in their vehicles they sell. I m not sure if this company was ran differently when the old reviews were posted, but my and my friends experiences speak to their business practices and care for other Subaru lovers and car lovers in general.

I saw this place on Craigslist selling a bunch of sports cars. Finally went down one day and bought a 2014 STI. I dealt with Chris and Sean, both helped me out and gave me all the info I needed. I go here for all my services and tune up needed on my Subaru. I ended up buying another car as a daily driver from them. A 2019 Altima fully loaded, I got the best deal in town. I recommend them to anyone looking for a car.

HUGE variety of awesome cars it was overwhelming. Got me my dream 2004 WRX STi with 85k miles for a great price! Ask for Sean he ll hook it up for you. I was also able to keep in contact with Sean after the buy because he offered to help me with anything i wanted to upgrade to the car. Great guy, i highly recommend making your next purchase here at San Diego Auto Club.

I had a great experience here. These guys are subaru experts and they are pretty fair on the prices they charge, when i came to test drive a sti even and all the issues i pointed out they fixed and even made sure to provide me with documentation showing the engines health. If youre looking for a subaru dealership that knows there stuff in San Diego id definately recommend Sd Auto Sale.

I bought a high mileage 2016 STI with a rebuilt motor. The Car was in great condition inside and out. They provided another third-party full inspection prior to purchase and fixed all issues that the mechanic pointed out. In addition, they provided two free courtesy oil change for the rebuilt motor and installed an AOS system that I've purchased to increase longevity. Overall, they went above and beyond to help a customer like myself. The Car is still running like a champ with no issues. Highly recommend these guys.

I had a great car buying experience here. Sean made the whole process easy and fast. Chris was there to answer all my technical questions about the car and maintenance. Even after my purchase Sean and Chris have helped me with any questions I ve had. I had one minor problem and they fixed it right away.

Beware of buying from them make sure you get Carfax and the car inspected before purchasing any car from them. I purchased a 2017 STI two weeks later I got a check engine light that was a #P0420 code and overheating so I had a good friend of mine that works at a dealership run the Carfax and it came back that The car had structural damage to it and I also found a bad Bondo job that was done on one of the rear quarter panels. and I also was let alone told the car was a CLEAN TITLE car before buying it beware of this dealership don t get fooled like the rest of everybody else you get hyped up on looking at all the tuner cars around there lot

Picked up an 03 bugeye. Very solid ride. Auto Club worked with me to make the car exactly how I wanted before and after buying. Extremely knowledgeable owners. This is the only place anyone should trust when it comes to Subaru s.

I've had a great experience at SD Auto Club. I've purchased a Jeep there with my father and it was a fast and easy process. One of the employees Sean helped us with every step of the way. I've been needing a car for college and I'm glad I found the right one. They gave me a discount and beat the price for all local dealers. Super happy with my purchase and I'd recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car.

I looked for a Subaru WRX STI for about 6 months and San Diego Auto Club far exceeded my expectations in regards to customer service, Subaru selections/brand knowledge, custom builds and their overall approach! Aside from being a certified full service Subaru shop and dressing up their cars, Shaber's professionalism and ability to connect with people has made me a lifetime customer and I look forward to picking his brain on Subaru's. He continues to go over and above in meeting my needy demands, remains professional and has always managed to meet me half way! Everyone should take your class sir! stand up and take your recognition! Well deserved!!

Went to this place with my son to check out a vehicle he wanted. Had gone to many other local dealerships that sold Subaru's and all seemed untrustworthy and typical, but that was not the case with this place. The staff was very upfront and honest, Sean answered all my questions and told us what to expect with the kind or Subaru my son wanted. Got a history report as soon as I asked and didn't get hassled. Price was fair and got a free warranty with the deal. Absolutely pleased with our purchase, because my son was about to make a bad purchase elsewhere. I recommend this place to anybody wanting a car and doesn't want to get taken advantage of.

These guys are great, I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Had a major timing belt issue, scheduled a drop off time and got the car back the next day. No issues. Good people and good service! Highly recommend, especially if you have a Subaru.

I would go zero stars if I could. Purchased a vehicle from out of state on January 1, 2021 with trust in the dealership that they are honorable. They shipped the car to us and it's been in the shop here since. We've put maybe 100 miles on this car. They didn't have any light bulbs in the interior of the car. The car cannot open with the key alone, it must be opened with the fob. The power steering rack had a leak which caused the power steering pump to go out, so both of those had to be replaced.They put the wrong sized dipstick in the engine, had some other kind of fluid instead of oil in the engine, and over filled it. Which I guess makes sense since they had the wrong sized dipstick in it. They had done a lot of work to the car before selling it to us, so we thought that it would have been a safe purchase for us. However, in addition to the above listed, there are silicone pieces in the engine which caused the engine to throw codes and not run properly. It's likely that this will continue to happen because the engine oiling system is contaminated so we will need to replace the entire engine. I cannot believe a business would sell a car in this condition, without telling us about any of these problems. This car was supposed to be used for cross-country travel, but we don't feel safe leaving town with it because we don't know when it will break down next. This is not a reputable business. Do not buy a car from them, especially if you are not in state or rich enough to repair the vehicle they sell you. Whoever they have working on their cars is completely incompetent.

Honest, committed, and consistent. Glad I found a place that is upfront that sells quality cars and trucks! Chris and Sean were amazing, they let me test drive the truck and have it inspected by my diesel mechanic. They helped and fixed whatever I requested. Shoutout to these guys for standing by their word and product!On top of that I needed financing. Applied and got approved easily. Marcus was very helpful and informative on what was needed. Got a great rate and got a loan, all happened quickly and efficiently. Never thought it would be that easy.I've had a great experience here and I do recommend this place to anyone who is looking for there next car or truck. I went despite the negative reviews and I am glad that I did. Thank you SD Auto Club! Keep up the good work! God Bless

I just bought a car from these brothers, and had the best experience! I flew in to look at a couple of cars they had, and ended up buying one. They picked me up at the airport, and treated me like family. Their lot is like a candy store for car guys! They have a ton of subies to choose from. I chose one of the ones with a rebuilt motor. They put together a nice package on their rebuilds. Car runs super smooth and strong! Highly recommend checking this family business out!

Chris and the boys at SD Auto Club not only sold me a great car, but they made me feel like I was the only customer that mattered. The kind of customer service and attention that they showed me isn't what you get anymore at any dealership, regardless of size. If you want to buy a car (Subaru or any other) from people that are passionate about cars, and trust me you want that, than you want to take a trip on over to SD Auto Club. I flew from Sacramento to San Diego to buy a car from them and after they went over every inch of the car I drove it home 500 miles. They even called me at 11:30 on my drive home to check in with me and see how I was doing...this is the kind of different service you only get from SD Auto Club.

The owners here are awesome. It was smooth and easy process. The shop guys know what they are doing. I purchased a STI and they were able to get a few modifications (upgrades) done for when I picked it up. I would recommend that if you in the market for a Subaru to check these guys out.

Got a 2014 WRX from this SD Auto Club a while ago. It is my first Subie and so far I love it. Sean and Chris were very helpful with giving me info about the car, also got a great deal. Buying experience was great and they have been very helpful with services after the sale. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that wants a fun car.

Wish I could give these guys 10 stars! Their customer service and knowledge deserve an A+. My husband and I purchased our dream car here. A 2004 Subaru STI in mint condition! We have had the car for a year now and it runs like a champ! These guys really know their stuff and sell great cars. I plan to buy more cars here in the future!

I bought my 06 WRX Wagon from them and it runs amazingly! And I know if any issues did happen to come to the car Chris and Sean will work with you to make sure you re on the road and smiling again! Highly recommend especially if you re in the market for a quality car and quality service!!!

Just want to say thanks to San Diego Auto Club for always taking care of me. Awesome customer service, when I have a question they always have an answer. I have bought 4 cars from them all with no problem. They have the car fax in hand. There's no b.s. with these guys. They know there cars, they know what they're talking about. Chris & Shawn are the main guys to speak with.I recently got into a fender bender and they where there to help. They took my car in. Got in contact with my Insurance company and they handled the rest. They told me what's going to happen every step of the way. I didn't have to worry about a thing I knew I was in good hands.With that being said, I recommend this place to anybody who's looking for a car and anybody who is looking to repair their car. Ask to speak with Chris or Shawn.

Great place to buy a Subaru - especially if you're shopping around used. I walked out with a 2013 Subaru STI at a great price. They replaced all the major parts at 95k miles such as the timing belt.Marcus was especially helpful and provided both CarFax AND an AutoCheck full report. Car was well maintained throughout the life span and was serviced every few months. Marcus recommended that I brought my own mechanic and so I did. The STI being a used car wasn't perfect cosmetically (which is OK for an 8 year old car!) but everything seemed to check out - my mechanic used an advanced OB2 scanner and found out that they weren't hiding any code sensors. Brake pads weren't amazing, but rotors were still in good shape and Marcus offered his mechanics to get that replaced.Fred seems like a very knowledgeable mechanic when it comes to working on Subarus as well, and they were all very welcoming and transparent throughout the transaction.I'm typically very hesitant and on my guard about buying a used performance car, however these guys seem to really specialize in the niche of performance vehicles - and I'd highly recommend checking them out if that is what you're in the market for.Also wanted to note that they are only looking to work with serious buyers - if you're window shopping and just want to test drive a car for fun, this place might not be for you. They offer financing but for older vehicles, you may want to look at Credit Union pre approvals from places like Mission Federal and Navy Federal CU.I've been incredibly happy with my car and this is the most powerful ride I've driven. Thank you SD Auto Club for making performance affordable!

Edit after two months with my car. Buyer beware. Friendly guys, but will tell yo anything to make the sale. I totally regret buying from here. Had an oil leak the day after i got the car, they said they would handle it .Cool deal right? Nah, they made a poor repair and a month later I've got it in the Subaru dealership fixing the repair they made. Gonna cost me 600. On top of the 800 I had to spend to fix a blown strut. Just don't do it man, even though they have that car you have been searching for. Save your money, find a better one.

Purchased a 2006 sti from this place a few months ago. Buying experience was great, but the person who usually picks up the phone really doesn't know what he is talking about, so I went there in person and checked out the car. Ended up speaking to Sean and he was amazing, he knew all the specs on the cars and explained what to expect when getting into a sti. I wasn't convinced so they allowed me to get it inspected by the Subaru dealer. Car passed inspection just little stuff needed attention, Sean gave me great deal and I still call and ask for help with maintenance and upgrades to this day. Great guys that go out of their way to help Subie owners. Thanks SD Auto Club, I'll definitely recommend friends. Speak to Sean he's the man.

We came up from AZ to find a car and were very happy with the overall experience. Shawn knows his subies inside and out. He even had a access port for us to use to measure the car while doing a test drive. Other dealers have Subaru's on their lot but this lot was 3/4 Subaru's. Marcus helped with the deal and gave us a great deal. Overall, the experience was good. Shout out to Chris too for helping with the shipping.

Found my car online and contacted Sean and Chris, when I told them I was flying out to get the the car they offered to pick me up at the airport. It was the most seamless car buying experence I ever had. There entire team was very helpful, and you can tell the pride they take in their work, this is the place to come if you are looking for a used Subaru, or any car for that matter. I drove the car all the way back to Colorado with no issues. Thanks again it was a pleasure doing bussiness with you!

Recently got stationed out here about a month ago. Was looking for a car months out from moving down here to San Diego and that s how I stumbled on to them. Found a beautiful WRX that I fell in love with instantly. So I went to them a couple days after I landed they gave me a fair price, the car was clean and well kept. Sean was really cool and he knew a lot about the cars he worked on. He even gave me my first oil change for free!

I don t know where to start, everyone here is very professional and answered every question I had. Sean, Fred and Chris are extremely knowledgeable about the cars that they sale and put in quality work into every car they fix, rebuild or mod out. Prices are some of the best around in the San Diego area for what you get! The people here at SD Auto ensure that the car you pick will last you for the time you own it and if you decide to start modding it out, they can help you with the type of build you would like to achieve! They ve been nothing but great help to me and very professional! A majority of their cars may have high miles on it BUT the blocks in them get rebuilt, repaired, maintenanced to deliver and new experience to the new buyer. Some of these cars may be 10+ years old but these things are repaired/ rebuilt to last. I bought my 08 STI hatch from them with 0 modifications done to the engine (if you haven t tried to go look for a stock WRX or STI, it s very hard to do but you can definitely find them here) and this beauty runs great everyday and the guys here at SD Auto have helped me into modifying this hatch into my dream car. If you want reliable, un-modified, great prices with a smile from a team of guys that know and love these cars, SD Auto Club is the only place to go to in San Diego!!-John H.

I ve bought three cars from them now! I ve loved every car like my woman . They always help me find exactly what I m looking for and exactly how I want it. They have connections to all the upgrades . I was even able to get a tune from one of their friends ! Sean and Chris are very polite and always help me make my car buying decision !
