I when there and they overpriced me for a simple fix. The representative in front lied to me and danced around every question I asked. They ended up quoting me 500 higher then the Mercedes dealership these guys are fraudsters beware!!

I went in there for a Smog Check for my car s registration. It costed me 65.75$ and was done under 10 minutes. They are very professional and give you advice and opinions on any questions you would have about your car and its parts.

Money well spent. We bought a used recreational vehicle during covid. You can't just bring an RV to any mechanic. I read reviews of a few places and went with 4star. I didn't know what to think when they quoted me over $8000 in repairs. I've never had a bill that high before. I literally waited over a year to post this review. Our rv has been great and I recommend this shop. Thank you four star, you have our trust.

My brother and I have been going to Four Star Automotive since the 1980's. I had not visited them for quite a while as I do most of my own maintenance and repairs and have also been very lucky with my vehicles not needing major service. Unfortunately my luck ran out and my truck needed some major engine and steering work. Fortunately, knowing the quality of work that Four Star provided me in the past, it was a no brainer to give them a call. Spoke with Bruce whom I have known since the 80's but had not talked with in years. He treated and spoke to me like he had seen me the week prior which I thought was fantastic. Long story short, I took them my truck, they did all of the repairs, gave me my truck back completely fixed and cleaner than when I brought it in. Even under the hood was spotless which was nice to see especially knowing the whole top of the motor had to be disassembled on this visit. Very happy with all of the work that was performed! Bottom line for me... Bruce and Jeff are very knowledgeable and great to talk with when I have had automotive questions or concerns! The mechanics/technicians are very capable/excellent and have always treated my vehicles as if they were their own! Other than me, Four Star Automotive is the only facility I would feel comfortable with working on my vehicles.

Bruce, Jeff, and the 4Star team are awesome! They aren't the cheapest, but worth it in my opinion. I've been going to this shop for almost three years now. They first worked on a 1964 Corvette Stingray for my family. And, after the expertise, professionalism, patience (non-car people like me), timeliness, responsiveness, and all around customer service I experienced I started bringing my own car (Audi) to the shop. They can do classic to European cars. Makes me think they can work on almost anything. Also, if I need a ride to or from the shop they've been kind enough to provide one. And, every single time I get my car back it's sparkling and perfect! Just all around super knowledgeable, professional, friendly, fantastic group of people. Can't recommend them enough!

They seemed nice at first but they didn t put the cover back on when they checked out our bus engine and their estimate for the work we needed done was pretty steep compared to the cost of the actual parts. Didn t actually get the work done here so that s all I know

These guys are amazing. I have an old chevy diesel and not even Chevy will work on it because it's too old. But these guys not only would work on it, they knew EXACTLY what was wrong.I've been to literally dozens of mechanics for my chevy (it's 30 years old, so it's seen some repairs). And no one has known this truck as well as these guys. When they made repairs they made the right repairs and the truck is now running better than I've ever seen it run. Just absolutely fantastic.They do charge more than other repair guys, but honestly I saved money in the long run by having the right repairs done instead of other mechanics trying to guess what's wrong. Which I HAVE had in the past.

As good as Any in the Bay Area with what they do! If Anyone has a Big and Bigger Vehicle(s) These guys are worth the money.

As a young adult it's hard to figure out a go-to place for getting my car looked at. Before I moved to the Bay Area I would just take my car to any local place and just deal with whatever issues I had and it was always a sort of uncomfortable and uncertain ordeal.However, I've found that Four Star is a total change of pace! The guys there really work hard to do the best for your vehicle and are super kind and communicative, always careful to explain any issues my car is having to me (a not very mech-savy person) in ways I can understand and troubleshoot!They are quick to address problems and overall a wonderful place to make your regular go-to autoshop!

Four Star has maintained all our company vehicles and several of our personal vehicles for more than 15 years. All phases of auto and truck repair from replacement of wiper blades to replacement of engines. Jeff and Bruce are super experienced, super knowledgeable and their opinions are free and almost always right.I'll say that Four Star is not the cheapest place to take your car. But it's worth every penny.

Called two days in a row and spoke to two different people who were equally rude and unhelpful. Furthermore, I wasted that day in the meantime because the first person had led me to believe they could get my vehicle in for service within the week, whereas the guy the second day first revealed that they were booked "for a week or two" before finally revealing that they didn't service my type of vehicle.Altogether, after my experience on the phone with these guys, I wouldn't give them my business anyways; if they are that inept and unprofessional over the phone, I wouldn't trust them under my hood. Too bad for them because I'm in the market for many thousands of dollars worth of bus overhauling.

Broadway Sheet Metal & MFG give 4 Star "FIVE STARS"Bruce and Jeff and the rest of the crew have maintained our large fleet of trucks for 25 years. They have also maintained the personal vehicles of 3 principle owners, as well, several employees. Their service is courteous and prompt. 4 Star Automotive and Truck repair is highly recommended.

This shop is bad. They are mostly serving commercial trucks so you will not be a priority as a single use customer. Quintin is not good at customer service and his word is no good either. He also seems like a man-child that never lost his fascination for big tucks and fast things; I cannot wait until the electric trucking industry serves them a cold slice of reality. I've tried to use them multiple times only to have jobs go on way longer than they should, prices exorbitant (a word Quintin wouldn't understand), I'll go back to the Dealership or do the work myself because only then will I actual trust it.

This place is the best automotive repair shop i ever been to . The service was great ! I was having problems with my car not passing emissions test i went to several places and wasted a bunch of money and no luck passing the sniffer test so i looked for a repair shop i chose 4 star the reviews were good sk i brought them my car i was expecting to bear some bad news and a really big bill .Jeff called me and said well your car passed and you can come get it and the price was just right for my budget .im gonna always bring my car here its a good feeling to have a mechanic whos honest and knows what hes doing thanks 4 star !

Would not recommend this place, at least the mechanic I was involved with. Too expensive, too much BS and manipulative! I'm sure the guys who actually worked on the car did a good job! Luckily, there is competition

Don t even think to come here, I was waiting them almost 2 hours and they charged my crazy, for windshield 563$ if u call for Mobil windshields change they charge u 365$ and plus they charged my extra 247$ just for inspection of my rear chamber and front axel...

Finding a shop that knows how to fix carburetors is difficult. These guys aren't cheap, but neither is getting tickets for expired tags due to not passing smog requirements is even more frustrating...These guys are life savers.

Went in for an smog check for a diesel box truck, I had an appointment so service was fast and smooth, personal is nice and helpful. Great service.

Brougt "Mom's" car in & worked with Jeff.... Seemed like a 100 little things had to be done, 3 pages of work later ... all done, all done fast & Mom HAPPY, thats what was most important,....I am going back!!
